- A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot by a Utica police officer on June 28, 2024, during a struggle with officers on the ground. Body cam footage and other video show the sequence of events leading to the shooting including the boy pointing what officers thought was a gun at them. It turns out it was a pellet gun designed to look like a handgun. The child, Nyah Mway, was rushed to a Utica hospital but died there.
Don't point guns at the.police and live another day
Yeah
Please TEACH your kids better than THIS…
What an unfortunate event which took place that night. 13 year old carrying around a fake gun. Parents should be prosecuted as well for poor supervision of their kids.
None of this would have happened if the child hadn't run from the police....I know he had a realistic gun...but if he had not run they would have discovered it wasn't real....nobody taught him not to run from the police???
Only people that lack common sense would disagree with your comment.
Unfortunately, many pigmented folk actually train their kids to be afraid of and to fight against communal order
Parenting fail. Not police fail.
Bodycam shows it all and investigation will clear these officers people need to except this but probably want officers have the right to go home safe to
He wanted to be gangsta and do gangsta stuff but instead too the sidewalk temp changed
disobedience
justice served
Learn from the mistakes of other Asians who been here long, long, long time. Being cool is a fools way of going about life.
WTF did his parents think would happen? They should be prosecuted, not the cop.
Great parenting…..
Justified, if you want someone held accountable, LOOK AT THE PARENTS!
Nyah took home first place at the Darwin awards this year
The parents can only be mad at the boy.
The boy had what looked like a real gun. How else do you think the cops should act? This is on the parents and on "toy" manufacturers, and gun nuts.
I agree and also don't shoot unless being shot at tbh think about it don't want things to escalate
@@nivekaman9288 even after they punched him in his head, he still had the weapon in his hand
*JUSTIFIED*
@@julesbower762 oh must have a strong grip and tbh I heard he robbed 2 people witth that weapon but that's not true right and if so he should have known better and others may not know it and it's all fun and games. Until someone gets hurt
@@nivekaman9288 No one cares. Feel free to play games with your own life.
@@DetroitThrower others care and what does that have to do with what. Said
Im sorry but his parents need charged with murder…obviously these intercity kids lack the proper at home discipline to succeed in life
2:29 lady you don't use tazers when people have guns. Impossible to tell at night and even during the day its a pellet/bb gun or a real gun.
“Parents” should be prosecuted
Only if the MOTHER knew what her child was doing.
A .22 is not a pellet gun
Why would he point his fake gun like that .
Dumb I guess
Not smart at all.
So sad.
Not suppose to do chest compression on if he was shot in his chest
Pellet guns have power to kill people if it is CO2 powered and in that close of a range, The kid aimed the gun at the officer with intent to threaten and they shot him. And now the police department is receiving backlash and you making this video with boo hoo sad sad music.
He was on the ground, if he was waving the gun I’d understand. Was this confirmed?
we just witnessed it...
did you not watch the video
we can all see it clearly
how do you not know, why are you speaking if you have not watched...
I think her point is if he was shot while pointing the gun that's unfortunate, but fine can't fault anyone for firing at that point. He was shot at the point he was on his stomach, on the ground, while an adult was resting his entire body weight was on his back
@@deepood6392 Incorrect. He was shot in the chest. That's why the officers are talking about a "chest seal" at 1:11. A chest seal is standard first-aid for a sucking chest wound. This means he was on his back, not his stomach, i.e. in the supine position, not the prone position.
It’s all in the footages provided. The cops lied. They shot him after they had already restrained him flat down on the ground and after they beat him up. But the cops lied that he was pointing the gun at him, threatening them, and trying to get away that’s why they shot him. All the footages proves that the cops lied.
@crepusculum7472 for some reason they erased my previous response, but true, idk I just don't know if I'm cool with someone being "ired upon" while they are on the ground and someone is on them
why make tazers when the police dont use them?
So you going to use a taser against somebody pointing a GUN to you? Are you retarded?
Cause half of the time they don't work. Plus a pistol beats a Taser anyway so why risk it.
What happened to Duty to retreat 😂
Law Enforcement does not have a duty to retreat. Their duty is to enforce laws, protect the public and put themselves in harm's way to do so. IF YOU TRY TO EXPLAIN THE LAW ATLEAST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. This is how things get twisted around.....You are a Moron, you should shut your pie hole.
@@mbray9506this guy is a ignorant
I never thought Utica three policemen afraid BB gun where is your trainer 😢
And how in the world are they supposed to know that it was a BB gun, if someone is running from them and pulling something which looks exactly like a real gun, they dont stop and ask if thats real or not, plus it was dark so wtf
You sir are a dounce
♥️🖤💚The Utica Police Are A Digrace....💔
More like you are a disgrace for not condemning this dead young thug
You are either blind or ignorant
So was the kids actions.
The parents are to blame, the parents are a DISGRACE. You support criminals? Yeah you do scumbag!
