- Thanks to the very kind group at GetAwayToday, we're off to our first ever family vacation and we're going to Walt Disney World (and Universal Studios Florida)! We're spending a day at every park. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios Hollywood and Islands of Adventure. All while staying at the wonderful Animal Kingdom Lodge. We're going to have A BUNCH of videos. One from every park (and more maybe), one from the hotel, and one more still from our visits to more than a dozen other resorts on the Walt Disney World property. It's a very full week. The most I've ever shot in a one week stretch, and I can't wait to show you everything. But today...today we fly. And it's Sofia's first time every on an.airplane!

Lol, had one of each kind, the very angsty one and the super easy-going one. On plenty of flights each & together. Can tell you it’s 100%, or at least 99% not about “parenting.” 😉 That said, I’d fly & hit theme parks with Sofia any day! What a sweet cool kid she is.
Brother, your daughter is a little angel, well done, both of you. We raised four beautiful little girls and what I would not give to relive that time at that age. Enjoy these times my friend cause trust me you'll go to bed one night and wake up and she's going off to college, it goes so fast my friend.

The hotel game in Orlando is on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL then the west coast. It is AMAZING. You don’t even have to go to a theme park for a vacation. The feeling of just arriving to WDW/Universal Orlando is one of the best feelings as you realize you have a full vacay ahead of you with a ton of amazing things to see and do. Side note, I flew with multiple stops from CA to Orlando once, and never again. Now I do red eyes, straight flight there for

As an east coast fan really looking forward to this coverage. Also stayed a number of times at cabana bay so glad you enjoyed. Lucky Liz wasn’t aware of southwest melt down so close to the trip. Sophia was truly a champ.

I LOVE get away today. Last year I planned a surprise Disneyland trip for my son for his first trip to Disneyland. Get away today made planning the trip so easy and smooth. Honestly can’t wait to plan our next Disney trip with them again!
I took my 10 kids to disneyland with air. Try getting your luggage moved. I gave each kid a suitcase. Don't fo that !! Back packs work better. So hard to move luggage. Got better with each trip lol memories!!!

We took our family to WDW in August 2021. We had initially planned to take a cruise, but it got cancelled. The airfare was too good to pass up: $1300 total for 5 people to fly round trip from Phoenix to Orlando. 👏🏻👏🏻 We had an amazing time & looking forward to your experience.

We just missed you! Wife and I just got back on Saturday from 11 days at World. I hope you guys have the absolute best time!!!!! Whatever you do, ride Cosmic Rewind at Epcot. Arguably, the best coaster in all of World and Land.

Outstanding choice, Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort is where Shannan and I finally had our Honeymoon for our 30th anniversary, USN and four daughters kept us too busy the first 30 years but we made it count that trip

Austin airport is the best! We were there a few years back and loved the vibe, and they have excellent food, from to great BBQ to pizza!

I like Bob Hope (Burbank) Airport...it's so much easier than LAX! And it's like you stepped back in time to the romantic, glorious early years of public flight...with the art deco styling of the buildings and music from the 1930s and '40s playing around the terminal.....it makes it so much more pleasant!

Glad to see airlines have figured out routing. When I flew to Florida for my grandfather's funeral, I had to fly from Hawaii where I was stationed up to Chicago and then down to Tampa.
Any time my family has travelled to Disneyland in the past we preferred to travel through John Wayne airport over LAX any day! A much better streamlined & hassle-free way of travel to/from Anaheim any day! Safe travels!!
Get Away Today are by far the best! We have booked through them many times and have always had a great experience and if there is a problem they are right there to help.

Just got back into CA from our trip to Disney World last week, and we had a great time. Stayed at the Swan hotel, which was terrific. The cost for a week was horrendously expensive, oh course. Funny thing is the most fun day we had was a Uber trip over to Universal! The Velocicoaster and the Hagrids motorcycle rides were both outstanding

I'm from Massachusetts and have been to Orlando a dozen times or more. We were just there two weeks before Christmas and stayed at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn and Suites. We also went to DisneyWorld and Mickey's magical Christmas party. We went to Discovery Cove and also spent a day at the beach. Hope you all have a Wonderful Vacation! You deserve it! 😁
My first flight from SLC to Orlando with a child was a dream. It was a red-eye. I think it came in from Anchorage and stopped in Atlanta. My daughter slept, and I did too. That was even though I usually liked to catch the view out the window, even at night. Well, ok, I did let her take the window. Nice room and very nice hotel. An Icee machine? Very cool. Whoa, Islands of Adventure by itself used to take more than a day for the whole thing, even back before they added the Harry Potter part!

If you pass through the Austin Airport on your way home, go check out the Salt Lick BBQ place just past the TSA checkpoint. Not sure if they still offer it, but they had a pre-packed BBQ brisket that's ready for you to carry on the plane. Have fun you guys and can't wait for the upcoming videos!
