@@Kyle_The_Mighty I’m just trilled with these videos. Remember my grands at the feival attraction when they were little and couldn’t believe anyone else admitted to enjoying the twirl and hurl Simpsons ride other than me.
I first thought someone was just talking loudly on gringotts then realized they seemed to be talking about mib. It would be nice if it was a clue since I rarely have one.😀
I was so confused watching it! They were clearly in the queue for MIB and then there were Bellatrix and Voldemort. And "wooaahh" reactions in the audio that didn't match anything in the video. LOL!
I will have to say that the reaction when you entered Diagon Alley was priceless, as if you had no idea. Now you know Universal isn't playing around. Funny thing is that has existed for about a decade and Universal is still outshining Disney time after time. Imagine what Epic Universe will be.
Still love your enthusiasm for Disneyland though.
Did you find knockturn alley Inside Diagon Alley? We totally missed it the first time we went there but then found it on the second day and it is amazingly themed!

Very hard to do with reservations,,, and that's the big complaint about reservations among many others.
@@StromboliTastesGood that entirely depends on the family. mine family never planned a day at the parks. we left the planning for the office, spontaneity for the parks.
your are 100% correct. enough of the headaches of life have to be planned, it's nice to go somewhere where you don't have to. just recently went to Disney, not as fun.

I love Disney, but Universal Orlando will always have the most special place in my heart! My parents didn't have enough money for Disney when we were kids, but planned a 3 day trip to Universal and it was the most amazing thing i had ever experienced at that point in my life!
Nowadays, with the reservation system, I just feel that Universal is just...easier... You know?
It is so sweet to watch a Sofie grow up having the time of her life!
I really hope you have a second visit to Universal on your trip! Entering Islands of Adventure "Port of Entry" and walking to Seuss landing is a must.

Really enjoyed seeing you Orlando at last. Glad you all enjoyed Universal Studios and IOA. Your comment about the two parks being serious competition for Disney is spot on, plus with the opening of Epic Universe in 2025 will only raise the stakes even more

I have never been to Universal Orlando, but we plan to go when Epic Universe opens. For now, we are visiting other parks. This summer we visit Silver Dollar City.

I'm amazed at how much I love USO. We've done it twice in the last two years and it's the best. Never thought I'd like it more than WDW, but that has come to be the case. And it's cheaper!

Day 2 and the second video is up! I’m loving me some Fresh Baked binge!!
Oh, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter... everything Star Wars could have and should have been; familiar characters, locations you know from the stories, music you know with melodic themes blaring throughout every turn, restaurants from the books, experiences that you went through with the characters in the novels and movies. No timelines, no made up locations, no dead characters that you loved but don't exist here, no created spaces just for a theme park. You just get to experience everything you love about Harry Potter. It's my main thought every time I'm there which is Potter is everything Star Wars should have been.
There actually is a timeline. It's Voldemorts time line with death eaters and he is dead along with Bellatrix and other death eaters. There are no made up locations in Batuu. Characters are familiar and everything there really exists in star wars and the music is themed just like HP.
What an amazing visit! Apparently the E.T. ride is based on the sequel movie that was in pre-production but never happened... I err... can see why it didn't get made.. it's an amazing dark ride tho! I'm so not a Harry Potter fan, but that Diagon alley land is astonishing, and really does feel like a corner of London! A remarkably clean-scrubbed corner of London....
fun/gross fact. one of my theater set construction instructors here in orlando was part of the crew that built the ride. the crew was warned not to enter the ride without a gas mask during the process of foam spraying the rocks/stones in the ride. apparently inhaling would or could cause "the runs". well.... my instructor forgot her mask one day.
What did E.T.’s dad say when we got home? Where on Earth have you been? 😂

Sounds like you had a great time at Universal Florida. We had a great time there. Almost embarrassed to say that we had a friend let us use his DVC week in Disney World, and we spent more time at Universal than at the Disney parks. We had the same reaction you did entering Diagon Alley. It's just jaw dropping in its fidelity to the movies.
This vlog like all of your work is awesome! I really enjoyed seeing the happiness in you and Liz’s faces during the Universal Islam of adventures journey! For coaster and E Ticket fans , Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure AND Volcano Bay have to be my favorite I’ve ever been to .. Volcano Bay is in my top 3 ever. . it’s a must do for thrill seekers and you can also lounge in tropical paradise if drop slides or water raft coasters aren’t your thing lol

After riding Hagrids, and pretty much every ride at DL, DCA, WDW, USH, Knotts berry farm, and even cedar point, I am fully convinced that it’s the greatest ride ever created (Yes, much better than rise and radiator springs).
This video was a real joy. Watching your genuine "awe" as you experienced everything around you was wonderful. It really was like reliving my first time there. Thank you David, Liz, and Sophia

it was nice to watch you experience universal orlando for the first time. it brought back many memories for me. one being the time i was working at the park and had to repair the "bounce house" at fievel's playland. i worked costume repair so it was not our job to repair attractions, but that day the crew that would fix it was busy on another task. we went and temp fixed it with large zip ties. and of course we had to test it so... we bounced. it was like 8am and the park was still closed. good times. sad to see this area go.
Loved seeing Universal through the eyes of first timers. Especially when your experience is the Hollywood version as I had the same reactions you guys did when I went to UOR. Its a whole other league in Florida. Portofino Bay is my favorite Universal resort especially the boat ride to the parks. Universals technology is really cutting edge for their rides when you are used to Disney’s classics. The Bourne Stuntacular is a hidden gem as well. Hope you guys get a chance to go back (you NEED to try spiderman, even if you are motion sick susceptible, don’t base it on Transformers, it’s classic spiderman come to life) . Cant wait for the WDW reactions.

Universal Orlando is great! And for a local, the passes are such a great deal. The top tier even comes with express pass after 4pm every day. I go to universal after work and walk onto every ride, it’s wonderful.
So happy you guys enjoyed Universal Orlando! It's become my favorite place ever over the last few years. I'd definitely recommend Toon Lagoon and the Camp Jurassic area for Sophia the next time you make it out!
there is NO Jurassic Park visit at IOA without a visit to Camp Jurassic.

I have a tip for you for the intense rides. Especially roller coasters. When it's about to do a big drop, take a deep breath and hold it during the drop. The air inflates your lungs and your lungs stop your stomach from traveling upward and making you queasy.

1000% We went to Universal Orlando for the first time last Sept, and we were literally blown away. With Super Nintendo World opening in Universal Hollywood, Disney has some serious competition for sure!!

Mind you, they are building Epic Universe which is supposed to be open in 2025 and is supposedly going to be bigger than the two existing parks. Yes, Disney will have Major competition in Orlando once that opens up. 😁

So awesome! I really wish our Universal had the space to add some these attractions. Even with Disney World, they have the room to expand and add more. Even though I love Disneyland. I feel we are the older sibling who is ignored! You guy's have a great time and enjoy!

i've been in and out of universal florida since it opened, even worked there in the backlot. i never realized (or thought) that the orlando site was bigger/more to do. when he stated that hollywood was a studio first, then a park, that's when it clicked. makes total sense why the layout and experience would be elevated.
I've been there and to Disney World once, and even though I loved Disney World, I'm itching to get back to Universal Orlando more.

My family and I have been planning a trip to UO but NOT until after Epic Universe opens since we want to fully experience Super Nintendo World and How to Train Yoor Dragon land. The E.T. ride was at Universal Studios Hollywood from 1991 - 2003. It was always one of my favorite rides, I was bummed when they changed it to the Mummy.

ayee nice first visit! I also went to Universal Studios Orlando last year in September. I've been to Universal Studios Hollywood in 1998 and 2004 and first time coming here to Florida I had the same awe. It just doesn't compare how grand and large it is!! Even the Security Check in area was overwhelming haha.

At opening in 1997,universal Orlando did have a jaws attraction but closed a few years ago. It was good but had trouble keeping it in operation. Glad you had a great first trip. Watched your channel from the start. Will be taking our first trip to Disneyland this may. So excited to see where it all began.

Universal Studios Orlando looked amazing! So much better than the Cali. version. Really enjoyed seeing all the different areas especially Harry Potter - Hogwarts Express & Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey! Amazing footage of the park and can't wait to visit some day.
