The Old Glory Flag Ceremony is a time-honored tradition that symbolizes the service members rise through the ranks, but most importantly it represents their love for a nation that they so proudly serve. Imagine our flag has a personality. Here is its message, its song.

During my tenure working for Walt Disney World, I met hundreds of visitors from hundreds of places. I can honestly say, and most sadly, that those who are not from our country believe what he says to be true more than most Americans in the recent years. When and why did this change? I have no idea. I can honestly say that my father was so proud to become a naturalized citizen of the USA that he, through example, instilled in me and my siblings a deep sense of patriotism for our country. It was not a surprise to see tears roll down his face as he stood tall and proud singing our National Anthem. He flew The Stars and Stripes on every patriotic holiday. I inherited his love of what our flag represents. I pray that some day, and ASAP, the citizens of this country will pull together to rejuvenate that pride and love once again.

Excellent speech and visuals. It’s the reason my children who are little already know the flag doesn’t touch the ground and the respect we have for old glory. There’s a generation right now that was not taught this or how to think for themselves. Making sure mine understand God country and freedom, how to maintain them and what it means.

This gets me chocked up, makes me tear up, and gives me goosebumps for I know all this is true and is not known by so many, that the flag of the great United States of America stands tall for all who need it, and that no matter what happens to the land that makes up this great country, nothing can happen to the United States for it is not a place, but a people and an idea. An idea of freedom and justice, an idea that all are created equal, and all are free to go and follow their own path in the great pursuit of happiness.

We all know that there are currently traitors in our country, many serving in our government, who desire to destroy America. My generation won’t let this happen, but what about the next generations? Beautiful and moving. As a retired US Sailor, this brought pride to my heart because I served to defend all the good that this flag represents. No the US is not perfect by any means, but our Nation's determination back in those early days runs deep in my ancestry and me. I have heard this prose before, but it still brings tears to my eyes to hear places named where I have been stationed, the ships to which I'm familiar that bear the names of battles named, and especially the part mentioned about Old Glory being used as bandages. That is near and dear to my heart since I am a retired Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman. However, in a split second my heart grew sad & angry as I recalled the sights of January 6th when multiple people used our flag as weapons against fellow citizens. This should never ever have happened. I hope those particular flags have been confiscated. Once they have done their duty in the court room, they need to be given their proper dispatch of damaged flags under the US Flag Code.
If you choose not to pay homage to the US Flag, that is your personal choice, but please don't disrespect it by walking on it, trampling it, soiling it, burning it, using it as clothing, or worse, using it as a weapon.

During my career, whenever a coworker would become a United States citizen, I would go out and buy them a flag to welcome and celebrate them. Most of us are citizens because we were fortunate enough to have been born here, but those who left their home countries and worked to earn this precious privilege have a deep appreciation for it.
I Love Our Flag, this Gave me goosebumps, untill 911 was mentioned, then it lost me,for that is a day no American should hide from the truth, honestly, that may very well be the day Americs started to faulter, and look were we are today.

I had tears in my eyes for the duration. This country has been through SO much but our brave Service men and women have born the brunt of it and make so many sacrifices. The recent events in Afghanistan as a result of the incompetence of the current administration is unforgivable. They have handed us over to the enemy. My heart swells with pride every time I see Old Glory but it breaks when thinking of those who gave their lives for our Freedom only to have so many disrespect them and Biden to just throw them to the wolves and open the US to almost certain terrorist attacks.

My Father died in WWII as an army air core pilot and my adopted Father as a Navy Officer 👮🏼 This made me cry because of what it means to me as we now stand fighting again for these FREEDOMS being stolen on our own soil today!
