I saw some people in replies really say that the people who changed the avatars were only doing their job and needed the money to access medical care.
Here's the thing, if you want to make that argument, then the employees should do a good job no? Especially when it comes to working with a company that would have a licence with something as big as the Pokemon IP. The people did not do a good job
Whoever approved the change is then in the wrong, also doing a quick Google search (as a Canadian myself) in most places government taxes are used to pay for medical care that does not seem to be the case for Americans, the taxes they would pay from their jobs do not cover medical expenses at all. So the argument about "accessing medical care" is somewhat invalid.
Why did it even get a patch or something? I highly doubt anyone complained about the character design.s
This is what happens when your country has no standard for beauty. When everything is beautiful, nothing is.
The only thing Americans have in common is their endless obsession of “freedom” and “liberty.”
It’s their only identity aside from waving their flag and shooting schoolchildren.😂
This is actually the best change in pokémon history if it really works how I think it works.
It essentially gives people reality checks
Well now the avatars can have the ability intimidate against other Pokémon’s
That is a massive difference in marketing. Too bad Niantic has their heads too far up their *sfhthh* to revert the changes back.
"can now look even more like you" maybe Niantic did this while thing just to diss their customers
That senior artist is going to get re-hired immediately due to ideological nepotism. Sad.
The Pokemon Go avatar update is about as inclusive as a menu with only 3 items, all being ham on rye with different sauces, and calling it an diverse, international menu.
Aespa is involved in A LOT of mobile promotions in South Korea. They got a whole cross-over story in Gacha-RPG Epic Seven, for example.
I’m all for adding more options. I don’t always want to play as a supermodel after all. But they have to actually give MORE options, not replace the ones we have (and preferably not make the new options a glitchy distorted mess)
They should have just made this an optional thing were you can choose whether or not to use these new avatars giving players choices like that is a great way to earn brownie points with your fanbase
-"Your avatar can now look even more like YOU!"
-makes everyone uglier.
Did Pokemon GO just call us ugly? xD
I still find it hilarious that Niantic thought it was somehow a good idea to claim the update was to "Let people look more like themselves". It also still boggles my mind that they actually went backwards in terms of graphical quality and design somehow, and that they explicitly removed people's ability to keep their old avatar.
that's so goddamn funny man, the difference is so wild
They think we're fat and ugly and they sell us that. Lol
If they let go folks from the DEI company than does that mean they’ll revert the update?
The worst part is that outfits that was bought, is not available with the update. There are quite a few whales that bought them and now they’re gone.
lol the last image is that the new Power Buff Girls?
Aespa from Epic 7 Lets goooooooo
game companies: sorry? i missed the part where i had to give a shit.
"I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. What the hell is wrong with you people?"
The level of self-reporting in this quote is astounding.
The ads are good, is the character look like the person in the ads?
I still haven't played since the update.
Thumbnail of the CW Powerpuff
how funny the legend Pokemon become almighty PokeGay LOL
Nintendo of America is woke. Don’t buy for a while, make Nintendo of Japan rein them back in.
This is how an empire falls, they destroy themselves from the inside
Go ahead Aespa ❤️
The mii's never had this problem
Did Very-Very-Spaceship design Tentacl because those Avatars look shockingly familar?
Players are getting mad at Niantic for accurately depicting their playerbase in the usa
I'm just gonna called it the "Miss Alabama" effect
And it was aespa too, they're decently big in the kpop scene.
Was that a power puff girl reference ?
aespa mentioned 🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️‼️
SU SU SU SUPERNOVA‼️‼️‼️
im a skinny bitch. There is nothing like me in that game.
