Ubers teams mostly consist of powerful Legendaries and Mythicals, but sometimes random Low tier choices can have a specific role in the format and offer unique utility.
Let's go over some fun examples of this throughout Gen 3 Ubers.

Some will never figure out how to get Altaria in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. But famous player Jim Cool is well aware of the Best Altaria Moveset in Competitive, and even how to Altaria Shiny Farm. Many aren't and never will be. That's just the unfortunate reality of the world.

Gen 9 Pokemon Showdown is one of the greatest online gaming sites in history. From Pikachu and Charizard, to Palafin and Roaring Moon, The new Pokemon games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, have introduced a lot of new faces. Can I succeed in one of the best android games of all time? If so, I'm gonna get myself a Walmart bakery Pokemon cake to celebrate.
Gholdengo is a Pokemon made of pure gold. He must have done some online business management courses to accumulate all that wealth. Or perhaps he might want to learn how to make money playing video games on UA-cam. In any case, he's a powerful metagame force, with absolutely no interest in online game development schools.

I like how in gen 3 ubers regular ou pokemon like snorlax, heracross, and forretress are common. Its so neat I kinda miss it.
In Gen 4 Ubers "regular" Mons like Lucario, Magnezone and even Magneton, Ludicolo, Kingdra, Mamoswine and many more are used. That on the other hand isn't the same cause "Diamond & Pearl bad and slow"!
Oh yeah and ROCKS so Gen 3 rules and Gen 4 not cool.

Although today you did not encourage me to suggest something for you to talk about next, I am going to regardless.
I am curious about pokemon that have not lived up to how difficult they are to obtain in game. Certainly, gen 3 fellows such as Salamence - catchable only in one back room of meteor falls, or Milotic - notorious random fishing spots and beauty evolution, have interesting mechanics that make them solid pokemon in their debut OU format. But what of other fellows?
-Gholdengo is certainly in a strong position, and fits difficult evolution = strong pokemon
-Malamar isn't considered a strong pokemon, but has an evolutionary mechanism that isn't easy to know without online resources
-Spiritomb is a slog to obtain in DPP, and doesn't bring the greatest reward for having done so
Mr Cool, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter of ease to obtain vs strength, within the realm of competitive pokemon.
I never realized Game Freak had a thing for Dragon/Flying types in the early gens.

Even before this, I never would have thought Shedinja was a counter to the Necrozma (light variant) until I was forced down to that scenario because it wiped the rest of my team 😂 Since then Shedinja is my favorite Bug, and one of my favorite Pokemon in general

It gets defog bag. (Would probably be the best vgc mon gen 10 for utility)

Frozen tundra- a weather condition that gives ice types +1 def and all ice type moves have a higher crit chance.(healthier than giving it 1.5 but specs blizzard would be op so maybe this crit part should only be for this mon.)
When an ice type is hit by a water type attack it gains plus 1 def(imo this what ice body should had been)
Can I see how this mon would destroy vgc probably.
I never used a mega so idk what bts I should give it. Maybe just a lil more spd and speed to be a bulky threat.
Slacking
Hidden ability- disturbed
After attacking(only) this mon falls a sleep for one turn and cures status. If this mon is attacked while asleep it’s next attack gains 1.5 boost. This keeps slacking played the way it’s designed but gives it 2 upsides in damage and immunity to status.also it’s gets bulk up now. Baxcalibur/ palifin exist so don’t debate lol.

There's no ladder for any past gen ubers, you'll have to ask someone to play. Check RoA Spotlight every month, you may see a Gen3 Ubers monthly ladder once in a while.

Knock Off is 20 Base Power with no boost before gen 6, and while Armaldo's 70 base special attack is somewhat respectable, it's probably 0- 'invested'.
i personally prefer spin on armaldo to knock. if you run spin and drop hooh for spikes deod you can drop forry entirely and put latias back on the team. the composition sea had armaldo on there is too subcm ogre weak imo.
it's probably fair to say that deod is a better knocker than maldo in ubers.
my experience is that wobb usually runs safeguard/counter/dbond/encore, i would say that most sets that are aiming to trap bliss/lax have safeguard. bliss also can outspeed wobb but by virtue of its thunder immunity lanturn is i think much harder to get a para onto to make it wobbable. i'm not sure what lanturn can run to beat tios, though; it doesn't really threaten tios back and will probably have less pp.
