Story 2. My dad and his brother are 13 years apart. Dad had all the jokes about him growing up but now they’re bestfriends. The brothers are pos and are insecure.
Story 2: These are awful brothers. I've seen so many videos where there is a larger age gap and the older brother(s) love on their baby sister so much. It's not like mom went and got pregnant with her the day after their dad's funeral. They just decided "oh, she's not one of us" and act like entitled little shits.
I just checked, and it is deleted from Reddit. I can't imagine what made the brothers act like this. Did mom give SUPER favoritism to the OP or something?

@@mollyblower3868 I've noticed that in some stories. It seems like the child would rather their parent be alone for the rest of their life than to find love again.
@Human-kb6xc yea some kids just really don't want their parents to love again and it's sad I'm adopted by my aunt and uncle if one died when they are ready I'd hope they find love again as they deserve to have someone since most of their kids including me have left home I would want either alone

Story 6 has an update. The mom told Lisa that Daniel was her bio dad!!!!! That woman is so crazy evil. Op quit drinking and is talking to Lisa again. The wife confessed to Lisa after op left and Lisa seems very remorseful. Lisa did catch them making out on the couch and they bribed her with stuff followed by saying he was her bio dad.
I’m still trying to figure out how to rewrite my submission to be under 5 pages long after I got it down from 12+ with the tldr lol 🤣😭
The story with the early morning text is funny because it sounds like the boss was just grumpy due to lack of sleep. Like, it's OK, Mr Grumpy-Pants, you'll feel better after a nap.
As someone who was adopted by my dad, unfortunately a lot of kids who know this have used that line. I said it to my dad (step) and I regretted it immediately. I still apologize for it 20 years later

Story 2: The Reddit comments are similar to the comments on the original video, which is to say a mixture of NTAs and 'but we say NTA for stepsiblings who want nothing to do with the new kid, how is that different?' Here's how it's different: In those posts, the ire is mostly directed at the parents, and usually, the thing that's being asked about is a refusal to provide financial assistance or help the parents raise the half/stepsiblings. So, money and parentification. *Here's the thing*: As Dusty says, you can't be an asshole for feeling something. He's not saying that they're the assholes for not embracing OP. How they acted on it is where they become the assholes.
Story 4: Looking at the reddit comments, OP says that her parents are 1%ers and also says that she "doesn't feel rich." Maybe he's a coward, but, TBH, if I were Callum, I'd also feel intimidated by this. Her dad owns 2 houses and 4 cars; that's intimidating!! Yeah, he needs to figure out a different way to process this, but SHE needs to figure out just how spoiled she is and recognize where he's coming from.
I was just gonna add this about story 2 but you said it better I tried to voice the same sentiment on the Reddit post but they couldn’t even understand and just kept horning on how it the step bros right to invite or not invite whoever they want to their family pic.

@@SK-hf4je I *can* see where everyone else is coming from, and honestly, if it'd been just one thing, I could maybe agree (although, I don't think I would). But it was the exclusion from the sibling photo, the dance with bro's SIL (who he'd known for less time than OP) AND the lack of visibility in the full photo, which, given the previous two things, feels intentional even if it's not.
The dirty deletion was true to habit, just as he dropped hints then ghosted further inquiry with OP.
I had 2 Older Brothers onr 13-year older, and one 11-years older, and as we had much in common,and I was a Tomboy we were very close. I also had 2 sisters one 2 years older one 6-years younger. I say had because they have all passed, and I miss them all over very much. Although, my brothers and I had more common interests my older sister being a girly-girl my younger sister was unique half girly-girl half Tomboy, and a bit baby of the family spoiled not that she got more of anything,it was more of the fact her infraction weren't as severely punished mostly because our mom had divorced our abusive father, but she also had less of mom an me and my sister too much as mom had to work, but when the older 4 of us were young she was a stay-at-home mom. She got stuck with us her sisters...which probably explains her half-girly-girl/Hal Tomboy persona. Like many siblings we had our disagreements, and as adults life circumstances and beliefs that weren't true or true but difficult about each of us kept us apart for various lengths of time. Stupid arguments stuff like that, and just life it got busy we were in different places in our lives. On the other hand my brothers and I were a quite a bit closer we worked hard to make that happen
Although, with my sisters for various reasons just didn't get as much time together geographic and stuff, but we always knew where and how to reach each other anytime day or night. So, we were still very close and I'd lay down in traffic for each and every one of them. And, now that they are all gone on to their next adventure there are 4 huge holes in my heart, soul, and world. So, my heart breaks for OP, and I think her half-siblings are Huge Fucking ASCON 1s. So, it is my hope that she accepts that they have never and will never e the siblings she wants and needs. As that will free her to find friends that can and want to be her siblings of Choice! I wish her the best, and hope that in a few years when she is an Adult, and becomes successful in her life they won't have the audacity to come to her for help babysitting, money, housing like so many do in Reddit stories. And, if they should be selfish enough to do so I hope she says, No! ✌💙🙏 for OP.💔

Story 6: OP’s gut was telling him something ages before this when she failed to disclose that she already had a daughter. It’s sad that OP with the good heart that he has forgave her for it. He should be there for the kids, and never look back at his pos ex wife. Using kids as pawns in hiding your affair is just disgusting.

And one shouldn't send graduation photos and announcements/ invitations to graduations to folks who don't consider you family/friend. Same for birthdays, Christmas....

Story 4: as someone who grew up in poverty who also had a partner that didn't warn me that his parents were wealthy I would say ESH. She sucks for not at least saying "Hey my dad owns 4 cars and 2 houses but he's really down to earth." and he's sucks for blowing up on her and prying into her past. It can be jarring to suddenly be dropped into a social setting that you aren't sure of the rules and since she specified in her comments that her parents are 1%ers that can carry with it social rules if you aren't careful or aware. She put him in an uncomfortable situation and He really overreacted to the news.
Yeah, she got some very interesting comments on the reddit post after it was found out that her dad owns as much as he owns, especially since she kept trying to say "[her] dad is not that rich." And sure, compared to the 'super rich,' he's not, but compared to normal people, e.g., her boyfriend, yes he is.
With story 1; I’m with the OP. He never told her he wanted to get married soon. Lots of couples talk about the future. Unless he said he was going to ask in the next year or so, there’s no reason to expect him too soon. And he just wants some more space. She is manipulating him by guilting him with her own financial instability. And marriage isn’t a sure thing anyway. If she wanted to get married so badly, she could propose herself. The OP didn’t do anything wrong.
According to the comment on story 2 the boys never lived with her and seemed like they lived very separate lives. I feel like this is not near the whole story and the fact that op seems like an untrustworthy narrator makes me feel more like she was 100% the golden child and they were more like cousins or more distant relations. No proof just the way op wrote makes me feel like this is incredibly biased.
