In story 2, I think the biggest red flag was that OP started the whole post with "I posted this in another subreddit but that one's known to prefer women, so I'm posting here too." Nope. Throw the whole man away.
Absolutely! I can only imagine how he will react to bigger things if this is how he responds to a request to open a jar. What is he going to do when she needs him to help out with the new baby. That man has to go.
I was thinking that too, this may be the first time he's swore at her like that but 10:1 this isn't the first time he's acted like helping her is an inconvenience to him. How's he gonna be when he's working from home and the baby is sick and crying and "disturbing him"? It's not gonna be good

Story 2- only apologized after she was cold towards him for the morning. Not because he felt anything was wrong. Horrible!!!!
25:52 he didn’t post that to get help. He’s bragging. The humility/victim mentality is an act. My ex husband did this. He’d apologize for his behavior, but it was never sincere. That’s narcissistic abuse
Story 2- he won't stop calling her that. My ex did that, apologized, and did it again. 8 years until I met someone who doesn't even call me a bitch. 3 years and I have been treated better than I have ever been treated.
Story 2: If she's learning how to do the things without him, AND will not let him help with ANYTHING anymore, she's already checked out. I don't believe this was a one-time occurrence with either the name-calling or the yelling, and he's literally said he's posting elsewhere because he didn’t want advice that favored her POV, so he isn't really interested in hearing about it: He's looking for validation for his narrative that she's overreacting. He even says "the LAST STRAW" for me ". Doing things independent of his help warrants a "last straw"?? Last straw before what? She should RUN.
That woman needs to leave that man comparing her to affair partner. He doesn't want to rebuild relationship or her. Him: more passion. More passion
I believe it's story three: My guess is Diamond didn't know he was married, found out, and left him.
I was surprised in story #3 that no one brought up the way he showed his whole ass by saying that he doesn't call it cheating because it was "true love" with his affair partner. As if his feelings negated his vows. Like betrayal doesn't count as long as he's happy. He doesn't view his wife as a person. To him she's just an extension of his own needs. He's exactly the type who would drop her the moment she developed a health condition that inconvenienced him. I hope she meets someone amazing and ditches his ass for a person who sees what a diamond SHE is. Someone who creates passion *with* her instead of demanding it *from* her. Then he can be single and make his own damn coffee out of all the bitter tears he sheds.

Story 1: we dont have a lot of background here on his mom either. Is this a recurring thing where she never likes his girlfriends?
Maybe he wants good blood on both sides. Like maybe her parents love him, and his mom never gave her a shot. I think he is trying too hard to form a relationship between them. But mom is definitely kind of an asshole if she has just written off this woman who is gonna be his future wife and possibly mother to their future children.
When you have a shit relationship with your daughter-in-law, that is gonna affect if your son comes to holidays or special events, And how much you see your grandkids.
Forcing them together is wrong. But I think there is a deeper problem, and the son has had it with his mom's behavior towards the women, other than her that he cares about.
I think this was his hail-mary pass to try and get his mom to form a relationship with her..which mom rejected and mean girled her.
I feel bad for her. She made herself look nice, and you make fun of her for it. And i feel bad for OP cause he feels like he needs them to have a relationship. Unfortunately, it just wasn't done in the right way. But him uninviting her is basically "If you don't think i should marry her, then don't come"
I think op is misguided, not an asshole.
Kaya will still have a relationship with OP. My dad had a child like this. My brother still loves our dad the same. His mom had 3 more children with his step dad and my dad had me. Their relationship was never harmed by our dad's break up with his mom.
I'm really confused on story one. Everyone I know dresses up all out for going to see touring Broadway shows in my area. Like, it's more abnormal to see people not dressed up. I still don't think he should have pressured his mom into taking her, but I don't understand what's weird about dressing up fancy for that.
Cleaning the house is not a gift..... what a disappointing person.
There is another update on the infertility story. The sister told op that Kayas dad is the boss at her yoga studio and that ops wife had been sleeping with him all along. There was speculation she didnt know who the baby belonged to hence why she ended the pregnancy.

I'm sorry, but Story 1, he was not an asshole. It seems like Tiffany is just trying. I feel like the outfit wasn't outrageous and the mom over exaggerated.

Story 6: how hard would it have been for him to just say That's my sister! Rather than letting it drag out for hours? Yes it's silly that she didn't put two and two together and recall his sister's name. But he's an AH for not just immediately going that's Angie my sister, and letting things drag out.

I feel so bad for the man in story 4&5. Even if you're not pro life... She terminated their baby and didnt even talk to him about it. How devastating.
He should make a compulsive habit to ceremoniously loosen all jar tops, once a week, and after every grocery trip. Not a word need ever be said.
I have an idea for him to get the spark back, invest in a large life insurance for himself and take up extreme sports.That would help the situation.

In story 2. Let’s not sugar coat it. Op verbally assaulted his wife. Calling the person you love a c you next Tuesday is probably on of the most offensive things you can call any woman let alone your wife somehow I think this is not the first time he has spoken to her like this and if she’s smart she’s thinking just wait till the baby’s here and then lawyer up. Op will not stop with the abuse toward her.
