Starting grad school in August. Considering the blackberry. This is helpful. I’m also a keypad lover. Typing on an iPhone has been a nightmare to me.

i can't use any touchscreen even if I want to. i've carpal tunnel and typing on ts cause me a lot of plain.
I've used all types of phones but still keep going back to the BB Key2 as I just "feel" a whole lot more productive. And when you get the shortcuts configured, you will be a BOSS at mastering the BBK2

Monu Rajput the KEY² is an upgrade from the KEYᴼᴺᴱ but on the flip side it’s a two-year-old phone now. I think it may get Pie but it won’t get Android 10. If you’re comfortable with that you get the physical keyboard you’ve been enjoying with the Android apps. If you want to switch to iOS then the X🅁 is definitely a good choice as it has the size and battery life only beaten by the 11 Pro and Pro Max but with its lower price. And the X🅁 will get updates for 4 years as Apple supports updates longer than Android does.

I guess, you are Indonesian. I have met lots of BB fan while I was using Classic. Wanted to switch to BB Android but they were overly priced with the under-specs phone.

Switched from Oneplus to Blackberry. Oneplus is faster smoother BUT with the blackberry I spend less time wasting my life on social media, better typing experience, and with tools like blackberry password keeper, hub, and keyboard shortcuts I actually get things done better and more organized. I'm very happy with this phone.

I work in IT and get mocked for my Blackberry Key1. I feel like you validated my very on-the-go job needing a blackberry to get my computing done without having to go find a desktop cpu on the campus.

This is the most under rated phone in the world !!!! I use a key2 as a daily and it is the best. Pisses over Apple and Samsung all day long! Why have a boring glass slab which all look the same ? They see the BlackBerry logo on the back and ask " is the a blackberry? " fascinated!

Thought u would never get to the true power of the Key 2. It's not a toy for pics and gram. The assignment keys and convenience key (which u forgot on the side) makes switching and accessing between applications blazingly fast! I have conducted presentations straight from the model and ammend with ease. Makes travelling far light and easy. It truly is your desk computer in your hand. After a day of work and productivity even watching a good movie on it charge over night and repeat your day of productivity. That's it. Not a toy!

Mr. Watt, great job on the Key2 Review. Can you do a full review of the entire BlackBerry Android Line? And a comparison series between them and their top competitors at their release?
I actually had a KeyOne and a Note 5 as my secondary device so I can relate to this comparison. The Blackberries are "Tools". They work. I really like the S-Pen on the Notes and wish I could have one on my KeyOne. I will say, also, that the DTec security works great. So much so, you don't notice it and/or Don't don't give as much value when it alerts you of things going on with your device. I absolutely love the Password Keeper. Been bringing my passwords along with me from one to another BlackBerry foe years. Plus, the hub (side key shortcut for me) keeps everything at full glance when I'm having those crazy days. What can I say, " A BlackBerry For Me".
The s pen is the most amazing tool on a smart phone, I couldn't live without it , literally use it for everything I do on a phone

very sad that BB10 had the ability to cast to a tablet, mac, or other PC was not pushed as a selling feature! BB Blend was cutting edge and not sure why apple or Android have not taken to this amazing feature! RIP BB10!
@@batman1169 Blend was from outer space, BB messenger was from outer space, USB on the fly and HDMI turned the device into a mini PC -> outer space, Keyboard was from outer space, Real multi tasking OS from outer space, BB Balance from outer space, Who did ever realize that when using 'contact groups' one can define which group is synced to other BT devices? and and and, This OS was so far ahead, that it still crushes all the actual ones without any effort. And there is the problem, it was too advanced. I promise to Mr. Chen if he brings BB10 back I'm one of the first who throws his android BB to the moon and runs back to BB10 immediately!
Thank you so much for the review! I have been a keen BB user in thepast. Now I have a Samsung S9 and don't love it and was wondering wether to get the Samsung Note 8. But now that I saw your video I am longing for the BB again. I miss it so much. I used to be able to type in 3 languages simultaneously without having to change to another key board or anything on the Q10. I wonder if that is still a feature. I could just switch in mid sentence form Spanish to Portuguese to English and back seamlessly and the BB would follow my meaning and correct my spelling accordingly. BAM!!!
I had a Q10, the system was a nightmare=( but indeed, i do miss the keyboard, the short cut and the hub a lot. Still thinking whether should wait for key3 or get the key2
@@daarksideyt Thanks for your information mate. I bought a key2 128G on amazon couple months ago when its doing a special. Love it so far, but still think a bit more processing power will be better. when I used short cut fuction, It always got a delay, I dont really appreciate this part, apart from this the cpu is good enough, as it made the battery long enough for daily usage.
And I heard about the camera sucks before I purchased it. though I already had a low expectation, I still got shocked how bad it is. it had to be ungraded on the next phone.
Other than that, I am a happy man carrying this phone out as my daily runner. I am replying you with its amazing keyboard now, feel so pleased😏

I have a Key One and it is the best phone I had. Underpowered yes but love the keyboard. I might get a Key 2. Love it.
I also use a KEYone intermittently and the only thing it's really "underpowered" for is playing PUBG at max graphics settings

Same here. Single apps are fine, it is switching between apps which tends to be "not ideal" for me. Wish I had at least the 4 GB version. That can make wonders (saw a test between Redmi Note 7 with 3 and 4 GB and the memory management was in a different league on the 4 GB version, suspect something similar would apply for the KeyOne as well...)
@@ilmt Ya I imagine the extra memory would make all the difference. I wish they would at least hint at a Key3 so I know if it is coming. I would love to upgrade but will probably stick with my KeyOne until the end of the year unless I can find a really good deal.

You got a new subscriber in me I have the same exact reason. Aside from the keyboard, the calendar and email integration is what makes me hold on to my blackberry in my case I got a note 9 hoping to stay with it but always keeps getting back to my key2

I was a long time Blackberry user. Last two phones, Samsung. What I love the most about Blackberry is not having to depend solely on a hypersensitive touch screen. Nothing beats a physical keyboard. This model has me reconsidering returning home soon as I'm looking for my next phone. Nothing makes me more productive than my Blackberry. I don't "game" on my phone and I don't give a damn about AI-emojis and other gimmicks. Oh, and no social media either. I'm one of those weird millennials that use a phone mainly for it's voice calls and text messages with ASCII-based emojis here and there.

@@MrLetnum how what? How does it run better? The SD670 is one of the best chips made, it's very powerful and it really is good on battery life, that's why the new Pixel is running the 670. People think the higher the number the better but that's not so. My KEY2 runs faster, smoother, I can have more apps running on it then I can my note 9. The only difference is the screen size and smaller form factor, but I love it. I now own the Note 10 + and Note 10, both beautiful devices with an awesome screen, but I just don't use them cause I can't put my KEY2 down..

Typing this on a key2. This is a solid device. It is built really good and screams quality. And the Keyboard is one of the best PKBs ever made. It is at par with the Bold 9900 and the Passport. The battery lasts and eternity and the phone has never slowed down. This serves a niche segment which focuses on productivity and it serves them really well. I don't game on it though, but I see plenty of UA-cam videos and I've gotten used to the screen size ( I come from that era where I have seen hundreds of movies in my iPod classic, so this screen is no big deal for me). The camera is average, but that's the only negative if you ask me. The keyboard features and the security doesn't need any introduction. Considering that TCL has stopped manufacturing these, best time to grab one. Will be useful for another 3 years if your needs are minimal. 10/10 would recommend

Hey, great video. Just a question, how do you handle numeric typing? is it good for that? thanks a lot.
Numeric typing is one of the big advantages of this keyboard. If you press the ALT-Key on the left side of the keyboard you are able to type very fast all numbers you like (all buttons which contains numbers are also on the left half of the keyboard). And it's also very usable for typing special characters. The most important of them are also reachable with the ALT-Key = #( ) _ - + @ * ' : ; , . and so on.
Just zoom in an image of the keyboard of an KeyOne or KeyTwo.
I got one too awhile back. So u intuitive now. Swiping is cool tho

Nice to see a youtuber that actually knows how to use a Blackberry instead of bashing it right from the start. I hate smartphones with touchscreen-only, they're much slower and can't compare to BB for business purposes. Too bad trends dominate the market, but fortunately there's quite a few of them second-hand :)

The main thing I miss about my BBs is the keyboard and the way the higher end devices like my Bold looked. My Bold 9700 had a sleek white body and leather battery door in white. Best looking phone Ive ever had

Awesome video. Know its a few years old but I'm considering getting a Key 2 to test out and see if it'll still hold up if Im able to find one cheap and in good shape still. Main uses will be Emailing(Gmail and Outlook) texting(group texting required with multimedia messages need to be able to send alot of photos), document viewing scanning and signing saving to device and emailing. Can probably use an app for that. But my main concern is their being no updates to the Android OS and its still stuck on Android 8. Hopefully I can possibly install updated APK's? Just curious if you think it would still work for these basic things today. Currently loving my Note 20Ultra but just always love experiencing new devices for the 1st time. I've personally never used a blackberry device so this device looks cool just to test out and review.

I just moved from m Blackberry bold to this Key2 and i am soooo in love. In addition to having maintaoned alot of the elegance and integration of BlackBerry IT'S THAT QWERTY KEYBOARD. I love not having to compromise spelling and punctuation and upper case because I NEVER MEED TO SWITCH KEYBOARDS. [Altho there is an onscreen keyboard for those who want to CUT OFF THEIR FINGERNAILS to type with their fingerpads. )

I've been using the Key2 for over 6 months and typing with the PKB is Absolutely awesome! The spec sheet doesn't do justice to the user experience, performance and productivity of the Key2.

Galaxy s10+ camera and specs in a blackberry priv chassis is my dream phone.
I use my Note8 as my private phone, and the KeyOne as my business phone - so i use both of them and they are both great. Never regret the KeyOne, not the fastest phone on the planet, but great at all.
The extra gig of RAM in the Black Edition KEYone helps with performance compared to the original Silver Edition with 3GB RAM
Finally review which not suck about blackberry, i buy blackberry because its secure and have no hassle stuff and most time they really think about ui.

I always liked blackberry phones in the past but what tuned me off in the past is no app store no andriod apps but now that they changed that I'm so going back to blackberry i text alot so haveing a physical keyboard is so muc better and easier for me to have then an glass screen to text on so I'm so happy blackberry kept the physical keyboard but added andriod apps 😁
