Sounds like a valve or a blown piston check ur fuel filter. I had a very rough idle on my truck replaced the fuel filter and was all good thay and check the oil
@@DanielPats1228 I replaced the fuel filter & put some power service fuel & tank cleaner. Drove it about 40 miles & for some strange reason it stopped doing it. Im guessing the injectors were dirty? But I’ll look into replacing the FCA on it. Thanks for the tip!!!
Anyone have injectors they want to get rid of ? Maybe some just chillin on a shelf lol , intended tp be used but never have the time to put them in ? My 5.9 cummins did this a few months ago and it was the number 5 injector , well now its doing it again but worse and i hooked a scan tool up to ot and seen that the effecientcy of 6 snd 4 are way to high indicating they are stuck open . So i just need 5 oem injectors 😅
I’m having the same issue on my 06. It’s fueling when I’m letting off the throttle, that’s what that noise is. Your injectors are supposed to stop injecting fuel when it’s not needed to maintain engine RPM’s (like if you take your foot off the gas going down hill you don’t hear any clacking) same thing with a dry rev until it gets close back to idle. My truck is getting this pulse somehow when i let off and I’m unsure of why but i hope this helps. I might put injectors in soon and hope.
For sure, valves, maybe light being of an injector knock, but most likely backlash need adjusted
Valves lash may need to be adjusted.

Sold it. Replaced fuel filter and oil was fine
Valves just need to be adjusted
Same issue with mine, same year model.... I haven’t figured it out yet
I read it could be the FCA on the CP3 pump. Or a bare wire that goes to the fan clutch

@@antoniomartinez3915 I tried the same think on that one. 300 miles later no difference
@@antoniomartinez3915 hola como te fue con el problema
Same issue with my 05, have no idea what it is
I never fixed it. Sold it as is. Just assumed it was injectors
Did you ever figure out what it was causing out my truck doing the same thing?
I don’t know. I sold the truck. I suspected injectors.

@@keith2860 yeah. I bought the truck to flip it. And I told the guy I think it needed injectors
Good call, if anyone gets a definite answer I’d love to hear it. This is the only video I’ve seen that does the same thing as my truck.
@@keith2860 that’s why I posted it as well. Help others out.
Weak injectors
