7.3 powerstroke drivers exhaust manifold broken bolt removal with EZ out
Mine was broke at the head of the bolt. Not inside the engine but right inside the manifold. They say it can’t be done in a lot of cases without removing the manifold. I beat the system today! Harbor freight 90° drill attachment was my best friend for this project

This was the fix I needed.... I did all the others and it stilled leaked but this fix was the one that worked... thanks for posting it....
You’re welcome 👍🏼👍🏼
seems pretty much every one of these trucks suffer from the same issues.
Ya I think so
@@DanielPats1228 I'm so on love with the Cummins diesel engine but hate Dodge's quality with a passion 😭
Great video, thanks. I believe the number represents the circumference in millimeters, so you could measure your exact tire/wheel and use that number.
For sure, valves, maybe light being of an injector knock, but most likely backlash need adjusted
I have the same problem but on the other side
Anyone have injectors they want to get rid of ? Maybe some just chillin on a shelf lol , intended tp be used but never have the time to put them in ? My 5.9 cummins did this a few months ago and it was the number 5 injector , well now its doing it again but worse and i hooked a scan tool up to ot and seen that the effecientcy of 6 snd 4 are way to high indicating they are stuck open . So i just need 5 oem injectors 😅
I do not. Sorry. Hope you figure it out
Did you ever figure out what it was causing out my truck doing the same thing?
I don’t know. I sold the truck. I suspected injectors.
Ever figure it out? Im chasing the same crap rn 🤦♂️
I don’t have the truck anymore. But I’m pretty sure this was when the high pressure oil pump was going out.
Removed all of the pushrods that I had just installed and I heard a pop from the cylinder number eight. reinstalled the straight push rod in that same rocker and the engine is running fine now
Injectors sir
Zawory cmokają czyli powpadały w gniazda trza nowe zaeory
Bad valve
Well that ain't right
Would probably check those valves. Sounds like intake valve not closing all the way
those end pieces are easy to remove and reinstall....shouda read more pal
Nobody is perfect😅
Valves just need to be adjusted
Just saw a 06' 2500 mega cab w/ g56 4x4 with 150k miles but they are asking $33k, truck market is wild now!
I know. I wish I never sold mine.
Thanks bro 🤘🏼
I got it fixed. Custom tuning.
🔥
Its fine. Ignore the comments and run it. Both mine are cold hearted son of bitches too.
Run some injector cleaner through it bro. Tranny fluid works good for stuck, dirty injectors. Also, 7.3s are notorious for glow plug issues.
Mechanical fuel pump
Tried that
Maybe glow plugs or glow plug timer. Also, use diesel secrets sticktion eliminator at every oil change. Don't listen to them, you have a better truck than a new one. I've been a mechanic for some time now with multiple certifications and know the old trucks are better than the new.
I just put remanufactured injectors in it three O-rings on the injectors were shot, so I thought that was my issue, but it’s still doing it. I have tried hotshot secrets before the new injectors, and it did not do any good in the oil and in the fuel.
Maybe it’s burning oil? Have you changed the oil? And filter? Or maybe you need to seal the head gasket
New injectors. Oil and filter. Air filter. Fuel filter on the way. It’s been doing it for months
@@DanielPats1228 damn, well it’s obviously burning something, maybe it needs an induction cleaning, also try adjusting the intake valves
Doesn't bother me none if you got a problem with it by him a new truck😊
Crush it and buy a new truck
Do you have any videos of your tater turbo?
I sold the truck. I do not
I’d guess your IPR. It also sounds like slightly low compression on one cylinder- the one where the “note” of your crank goes up, as that cylinder is moving faster due to lower resistance. It’s a 7.3 though - I wouldn’t worry about it too much
This truck needs injectors. Smokes like a chain smoker even when it’s 80°F out. I’m ordering some asap. Just been too broke to do it yet 😆
@@DanielPats1228just get your stock ones rebuilt with new o rings & intensifier pistons.
I have a 97 f350 with the 7.3 and E4OD - mine shifted like this while the tachometer wire connected in the back of The gauge cluster was loose. After a while, it shook all the way off and threw a trans code, put it in limp mode and wouldn’t shift out of first. If it’s the same problem, pull the gauge cluster off the dash and press the connectors all back in. Sometimes pressing the mode button on the tach would fix it temporarily if you don’t have time to check
Yeah. One of my friends sent his gauge cluster off to be fixed. He said his shifted 100x better after that. Cause my coolant temp gauge and my oil psi gauge will fluctuate every 5 minutes or some thing. But like you said. Maybe the plug-ins are loose
Did you figure yhis out? Mines doing this but slower. It's not flinging like yours. Goes to about the same spot. Just slower. Tha KS.
I never figured it out. Just left it alone. It’s either the Sensor or the PSOM probably. (Gauge cluster)
YOU NEED TO ROLL THE WINDOW TO THE DRIVER SIDE TO REMOVE THE DRIVERS SIDE CABLE!!! Passenger side needs the window in the closed state.
At least you didn’t have to pull the engine 🤮
IPR or injector O rings. It’s a high pressure oil issue
Fuel pump I would guess
beautiful... its a beast . ...
I think it’s broke. It’s why I posted the video. 😂
Yeah. I don’t know. Its weird
What was it
@@TylerBigHead I think I need to rebuild it
@DanielPats1228 for a long crank ? Seems a little excessive. How bad is the blow by ? And sure your low pressure and high pressure oil systems working
@@TylerBigHead I have done everything except rebuild the engine. Also have not done the HPOP or LPOP. But I’m losing oil. A gallon every 5k miles
Hmmmmmm check oil level ? Also maybe need to let glow plugs cycle longer
Nice my dad needs to straight pipe his
1 year ago was the last comment this vid is old
Yep. I sold it 8 years ago
@@DanielPats1228 wow the time goes by so fast
What was the problem? My truck is doing the same thing...
This was my brother‘s truck, he replaced the IDM, and he double checked the power programmer chip. He has the TS6. It was a little loose. I’m not sure which actually fixed it cause he did them at the same time
@@DanielPats1228 alright, I have the ts6 aswell... thank you for the info! I will soon be replacing the valve cover gaskets as one or two of the connectors for the injectors is SOAKED in oil. I will definitely take a look at that.
@@bk7695 he did his valve cover gaskets too. I forgot. It made it run a bit better. But the IDM and loose chip seemed to make the difference . If you put a piece of duck tape on the ts6 chip itself where it comes out of the PCM it will hold it in place from coming loose
@@DanielPats1228 Do you remember what the fuel pressure read? Was it low?
@@bk7695 I don’t know if he checked it
If your Husky speedometer shows more than the GPS you have to dial the number down mine was a match at 210.0, BTW: I started at 225 and my speedometer marked 2-3 miles more than the GPS
Sounds like a valve or a blown piston check ur fuel filter. I had a very rough idle on my truck replaced the fuel filter and was all good thay and check the oil
Sold it. Replaced fuel filter and oil was fine
Miss this truck.
Why did you get rid of it?
@@jonesfarm1836 cause I was stupid 😆
about to look at the same thing tomorrow 100k miles
Dang. Nice. Where at? How much?
Did you end up buying it?
Hey I have the same bike as you and I upgrade to warp9 forged wheels and my speedometer always marks more speed than my others friends bikes, Do you know what is supposed to be the exact number when you change to supermoto wheels??? thank you!
I’m sorry I don’t know the exact number. You have to play with it and test it. Use your speedometer app on a smartphone to check
Thats just the Cummins roar they all do that.
No they don’t, shouldn’t sound like that
yea they definitely dont sounds like a camaro mine does not do that
Valves lash may need to be adjusted.
Same issue with my 05, have no idea what it is
I never fixed it. Sold it as is. Just assumed it was injectors
Thinking this is the way I will go to keep EGT lower instead of bigger intercooler. I want to tow at a higher setting on my bullydog for fuel mileage and to hold the speed threw the mountains.
