Today we have been strength testing our new fishing magnet. It is the BEAST from Online Magnets. The BEAST is a super strong double sided neodymium magnet and has a huge 500KG pull!!! We have had the magnet in the workshop and had it hooked to a crane to see what it is capable of lifting and we have also done some heavy drag tests with it to replicate the magnet being dragged along the river bottom. The BEAST performed exceptionally well. We cannot wait to take it out magnet fishing, we are hoping for some great magnet fishing finds with it!

I love watching them. That's a very good relationship. In today's world unfortunately a lot of father's can't seem to find time for their children. I think the father is an iron worker of some sorts. His welds are perfect.

With this new magnet, your amount of finds may well be on the increase. You could go back to that canal where you found the car parts,who knows you might recover the rest of the auto. With the increased power of the ' Beast' you could find more material that your other magnets could not retrieve. By the same token, your potential explosive finds may
also go up. Given the number of grenades you and your dad have already found, anything is possible. Really like your videos, stay well from the Texas connection.

Hi Ian, definitely a double sided magnet like the BEAST on this video is. Double sided magnets pull flat along the river bed which means you will get more finds. We get all of our magnets from a company called Online Magnets. Check out their Xpert range of double sided magnets I would recommend you go for the 300 or 400 as a beginner magnet. How did you de magnetise it to get off the profiles

Great video guys! Im looking for a bit of advice. I just bought my first magnet off 500kg combined pull. I'm worried if I get get attached to something really heavy and cant get it out of the water, am I likely to lose my magnet?
Hi yes it is a possibility that you could loose it. There are ways to free them which usually work, try pulling the magnet from different directions failing that you could use an inexpensive portable winch. We have in the past had to resort to pulling ours off with a truck but wouldn’t advise you doing it as it’s highly dangerous. Something to consider is where you magnet fish, rivers are notorious for getting your magnets stuck as they have rocky bottoms. Also rivers and canals with metal sides should be avoided where possible. Hope this helps 👍

Really heavy steel which you lift with 1 arm.. you must of had 3 weetabix that day ... love to see how much more that beast will lift id say thats no more than 150 to 200 kg there 💪

You are an accident waiting to happen you are lifting heavy Steel while standing close to wooden pallets you say stand clear but if any steel drops onto wooden pallets or smaller bits of Steel it is these flying missiles that would cause the greatest damage you won't like me for saying these things but I would hate to see you get hurt keep safe and keep entertaining excellent filming by the way
