Hi Jack you should definitely give magnet fishing a go, you never know what you might find! We are from Nottinghamshire in the U.K. Thanks for watching 👍
I dont know. The base stand under the horse seems a little odd for a car hood ornament. I was thinking that it could be an ornament for a banister pillar at the base of a grand staircase. But of course I could be wrong. In the previous video they found metal parts for a substantial medieval door very near. Oh well it is a puzzle.
This was what we enjoyed about it. The dad and son seem to really care about each other and it’s so nice to see a boy that age who respects his dad the way he does. My question is do people really throw all that stuff in the river? And why
I love to watch you both, I have always loved England, although I've never been there, I'm 74years old now, I scribes to your channel, the red plane, and the horse statue were fun to watch, you should do a little research and find out who made the statute, might be someone famous. The red plane is an antique and antique tools are worth. Good money.I'm disabled so my days are dreary, you both make me smile, thank you for that, watching you from Seattle, WA state USA keep up the good work, Cathy, from Seattle, God Bless !!!!
Thank you for your comment, that’s great that you enjoy watching our videos and we make you smile 😊 We had some amazing finds that day, the horse was such a surprise when someone pointed out what it actually was that we’d found! All we know is that it was off a 1931 - 1935 vintage Humber Pullman car. The statue is made of bronze. We will look into who designed the statue. We are from Nottinghamshire in the U.K. Take care Cathy, Kev & George 😊
I would love to see a follow up on this video. You by far are my favorite magnet fishing team and I watch many! Great finds! Try to put a value on your horse! It is great to see a father and son team that work well together
Hi Richard yes we definitely will be doing a follow up restoration video on the horse so keep your eyes open for it, its value is around £800. It’s great to hear that you are enjoying our videos, thanks for watching 👍
That "rod with gears" at 4:10 looks to me like it should have another rod with a matching "gear" and possibly some sort of base unit to hold the whole arrangement, and when together it will be tightened by a bolt and thumb nut. The two together will be part of a jig for holding something at a specific angle.

This is my first time seeing your Magnet Fishing and I have to tell you , your finds are very interesting. Its nice that you both are enjoying your time together and finding history together. Do you ever show your finds after they are cleaned up, do you ever keep your finds or do you ever try to show them to a museum to maybe put your name on the find and then you guys could become a part of history for your family?
I used to go scrapping with my dad when he was younger, we didn’t have the luxury of magnets to fish with. If we had then we could have been mega rich people, for us walking down shallow rivers was good for non ferrous metals, alloys, brass and copper etc, steel didn’t have a good price as it wasn’t as lucrative as the copper brass and aluminium alloy etc. only thing that I would suggest is to take a big bucket, the 3 gallon ones, and when you arrive at the site you want to fish from, get a bucket of clean water from the river, that way you can wash items out without any fear of losing the contents or falling into the water your selves. Well done guys, very interesting stuff
WOW!!! Great finds! Loved the old horse/hood ornament. Yes, that is indeed part of history. 👍 Makes you wonder what else is in that location buried further down in the mud. Seems like a good spot to keep fishing at. Who knows what else you guys will find! It is so fun to watch George and how thrilled he is with everything he pulls up. Hoping there was stuff/treasure in the safe. Would be a wonderful 16th b-day prezzie! ☺️ Stay safe guys and the "rest of us" will be here looking forward to your next adventures! 😉 Much love to the whole G family //Solani
Hi Solani yes we did have some great finds and shall definitely be returning! The horse was incredible can’t wait to restore it, we shall do a follow up video to let you all see it. Pleased you enjoyed the video, take care Kev & George 😊
@@Magneticg Of course I enjoyed watching you guys fishing, playful bickering/bantering between each other and just being a wonderful family, that does things together. I only follow 1 other "magnet fisher" besides George channel. Have watched a few others as well but, they all seem so fake. Fake as in trying to perform like some B class actor when they're talking. Love their finds but... Nope. I've "binge watched" all of your uploads. It was fun watching both your finds and how George has grown over the years from when he first started magnet fishing. And yes, I got quite a giggle when I'd nearly seen them all and realized that I almost felt like a "stalker" 😳 😂 Apart from enjoying your finds, I find your family to be REAL PEOPLE and I really appreciate REAL. Yes, please 🙏 upload a video of when you've restored the horse. Have you thought about getting it appraised, to find out exactly how much it's worth? Not that it really matters but, it could always be fun to know when you find the old historical items what they're worth. Not to sell it but, just keep track of the more rare and valuable items. Take care //Solani ☺️
That’s nice of you to say it means a lot! The horse is worth around £800 U.K. pounds and we will treasure it forever. George is editing a safe cracking video to reveal to everyone what was inside the safe so watch out for that too 😊
@@Magneticg Ahhhh yes!! I will definitely keep my eye out for George's safe crack video! I'm so hoping that there was something good in it! 🙏 Yeah, I can see that the horse would be at least worth £800 The historical value on the other hand, is impossible to measure! ☺️
I wondered with all those tools (some old tools can be quite valuable to collectors), the cash boxes and the horse statue, maybe they were stolen and the thief panicked for some reason and ditched them?
What amazing finds! You could open up a tiny museum… River Finds! To get your phone to focus on the object, put your hand up behind it, like a wall. 👍🏼
Yes we did have some amazing finds and we could definitely open a museum! Thanks for the advice on the phone it’s new and does occasionally go out of focus we think it’s something to do with the settings perhaps 🤔
I've watched a few magnet fishing films, but that prancing horse car emblem is an absolute humdinger of a find, the base looks like its come from an old lamp. The tools were really interesting too, craftmans tools. 👍
Hi Paul yes the horse was an exceptional find! There are literally hundreds of tools at that spot I dare say we could go again and find the same amount, it’s just crazy! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍

Will definitely be returning at some point, there’s still more to be found we think. Yes got to love George’s conclusions he usually concludes that everything is a murder weapon 🙄 Take care, Kev & George
Nice to see the Humber Pullman bonnet ornament from the 1930s. I wonder how it got into the water. One sold at auction around here for £650. But it was in good condition.
Yes it was an exceptional find Duncan, one that’s going to be hard to top for sure! It’s crazy what’s laying at the bottom of our waterways! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the birthday wishes Jean! We did have some great finds that day the tools we were finding were just one after the other there’s definitely a tool box in that river! We are from Nottinghamshire in U.K. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
That part of the wood plane that you called the blade is not a blade. Rather, it is part of the plane structure that rests on top of the blade. The separate piece that you were holding appears to be an actual blade. Also, as you stated, there are parts missing.
Hello from Boston, Massachusetts. I can help you identify that radio thing. Back in the 1980s people's autos were being broken into in order to steal the expensive stereos. An early attempt to stop this was a car radio, often with a tape player, which had a removable face plate that had all the control buttons, indicator lights, and tuner incorporated in it. The idea was to park your car and remove the magnetically attached face plate and carry it away with you. It was actually smaller than a modern smart phone. What remained in the car was made useless unless the face plate was snapped back on, and it was not possible to buy a new one unless you could prove that you were the original owner of the radio. Also, when the face plate was removed, a large red "SECURITY" or "LOCKED" notice was meant to be seen from outside the car, thereby stopping the break-in. This worked fairly well unless you are a thief who is a complete idiot, which is evidently what happened here. When the crook tried to sell it and found it as useless, the evidence was tossed into the canal . May I ask a small favor? Would you please put a wind sock, or even wrap an old handkerchief, on your microphone. On a breezy day the wind noise is almost as loud as your voices. I look forward seeing what future treasures you latch onto. Good Luck !
Thanks for all the info on the car radio Ron it’s much appreciated! Yes we do usually have something on our mic apologies for any wind noise in this video. We are looking forward to finding lots of new treasures in 2023! Thanks for watching 👍

At 30:50 that’s not a tiny cleaver that actually is cheese slicing knife. Big blocks of cheese and a slice a little bit so

Hi Patricia, yes it’s worth a lot of money we couldn’t believe it! It is a great spot we must return! Thank you for the Birthday wishes 😊
It's a Humber Pullman Prancing Horse from 1933 - 1935 and is very rare!
Yes, we couldn’t believe it when we found out what it was! Hope you enjoyed the video Kaytie, thanks for watching 😊
I just found a couple of the Umber Flying Horses on ebay at approx $750 - $1,100. From early 1930's.
The Earrings!! WhAaAt??😮
41:03 your son is hilarious, I have seen that before, one of those things I have seen before….😂😂

Great to hear from you yes what a fantastic we are find very pleased with it! Can’t wait to get it all cleaned up! Take care Kev & George 😊
29:12 it's just a regular car stereo with removable faceplate. They put "security" on the front for added theft prevention.
Hey George, Happy Birthday :) Love watching you and your dad, always great finds...
Thanks Angie! Pleased to hear you enjoy watching our videos 😊
' Dad ' and ' George ' . I do enjoy your fishing exploits and always amused by what people choose to throw into rivers and creeks. While you entertain us , it's great to see you and other magnet fishers cleaning up your waterways. While it seems ' Dad ' may have an engineering background , no doubt young ' George ' will soon need to follow his dreams and aspirations into his adult future. Whatever that maybe ' George ' as long as you stay true to yourself and enjoy your adult years to come. Stay happy young fella. Thanks again team. Aussie Dave :)
Pleased to hear you are enjoying our videos Dave!
My Husband watches you guys all the time and as I see, Another fun day together so lucky to spend the day having fun, Also I wanted to ask what magnets do you use? ""Fathers day is coming up" And also Happy Days to the Birthday Boy. take care and keep having fun Angela.
Hi, if you look under the description in this upload (and all the others) they have listed the magnets they use.
Very strong ones that can take some weight, I have one and I have a key attached to it that I cannot remove as the magnetism is so strong.
@@Snowy1of1 Thank you I will do that I cant wait to give it to him he is always talking about it and he thinks you two have just a great father and son bond, stay happy Angela.

the hood ornament may be worth some nice money. Old rare ones can sell for thousands
Yes it’s valued at around £800 U.K. pounds so it was a great find! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
I feel the horse was a topper for an ornamental iron fence post from a wealthy estate .
Hi John the horse turned out to be a rare car mascot off a 1931 - 1935 vintage Humber Pullman car. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
@@Magneticg 🍻 very interesting & as always very enjoyable .
George! Happy Birthday!!! Congratulations on some epic finds! Best wishes from Nebraska!
Thanks Dee 😊
Hi Phil thanks for the tip, yes we’ve actually got a collapsible bucket to take out with us now! Pleased you found the video interesting 👍
Stay safe guys and the "rest of us" will be here looking forward to your next adventures! 😉
Much love to the whole G family
//Solani
Take care
//Solani ☺️
Yeah, I can see that the horse would be at least worth £800 The historical value on the other hand, is impossible to measure! ☺️
Kathy from Iowa watching on Saturday night @ 10:30pm. June 4th. 2022.
So glad y'all are back. And goodness George has become a gorgeous young man.
Hi Kathy great to hear from you, yes George is over 6 feet tall now! We hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
Amazing finds. I cant imagine why anyone would toss all of those tools in the water. Thank you for sharing. Also, Happy belated 16th George.
I wondered with all those tools (some old tools can be quite valuable to collectors), the cash boxes and the horse statue, maybe they were stolen and the thief panicked for some reason and ditched them?
@@catherinewilliams3850 That is exactly it! Thieves…😒
Hi Maxine we did have some amazing finds! Thank you for the birthday wishes 😊
Ooold burglery-tools...
"It's like Christmas!" I agree. Every cast is a throw of the dice. A mystery yet to be solved. A treasure yet to be mined!
It’s like a game of lucky dip we never know what’s going to be pulled out next Julia! Hope you enjoyed the video 😊
Congratulations on horse!
How great it is to see Dad & Son hunting for history😁
Thank you it was a superb find! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
Another great long video with lots of good finds, great to watch 👏🏻 and happy birthday George for the other day 👍🏻 keep up the good work lads 👍🏻
We did have some great finds Craig, pleased you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the birthday wishes 👍
You guys do not fail to surprise!
Best there are to watch love the channel /content and the bit of banter and George's mad conclusions to what things are or been use for etc Classic this lad
All the best fellas 😁
Thank you for your comment, pleased you enjoyed the video! Even we were surprised at the amount of stuff we were finding, considering it was the second time we’d been magnet fishing there! Will definitely be returning at some point, there’s still more to be found we think. Yes got to love George’s conclusions he usually concludes that everything is a murder weapon 🙄 Take care, Kev & George
I’m addicted to your channel. What a fabulous hobby and way to cleanup your waterways.
I have a mini cleaver like the one you found. Mine was for cheese cutting. Doesn't work too well even razor sharp.
Thanks for the info Bill it’s much appreciated! We didn’t have a clue what it was for. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍
@@Magneticg They are oddly enough hanging by a tack in back of my monitor.
😊
Ur horse is a "Humbert Pullman" and worth more that 1K, keep it.
Yay great magnet fishing finding good things! Watching from Stuttgart Arkansas 🦆🌾
Pleased you enjoyed our magnet fishing, we are from Nottinghamshire in the U.K. 😊
Happy Birthday George! 🎂🎉 Fantastic Finds! 👍🏼 from Seattle 😘 Is there a market for antique tools? Handsome Kevin with the jewelry, lol…
Thanks for the birthday wishes Jean! We did have some great finds that day the tools we were finding were just one after the other there’s definitely a tool box in that river! We are from Nottinghamshire in U.K. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
I think you have found a theive's dumping area. There is no telling what goodies you will still find in there. I love your videos!
Hi Richard yes definitely a thieves dump spot! P,eased to hear you are enjoying our videos 👍
That part of the wood plane that you called the blade is not a blade. Rather, it is part of the plane structure that rests on top of the blade. The separate piece that you were holding appears to be an actual blade. Also, as you stated, there are parts missing.
Thanks for explaining Tom 👍
Awesome horse statue, will be neat to see it cleaned up 👍🏻
Hi Marjorie yes the horse statue was awesome, we shall let you all see it one it’s cleaned up! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
Hiya guys, I've just got myself a basic kit to start with. My question is. I'm in the south west and would like to know how you choose your rivers?. You seem to go near build up industrial areas. Would that be safe to say?? Tia.
Hi Caroline yes built up areas seem to have more things to find but it isn’t always the case 😁
Between the number of safes, lockboxes and bike locks, you are cleaning up a prolific crooks waste pile.
We definitely was Sharon! Hope you enjoyed the video 😊
absolutely amazing day for you guys!!! now you have to show the horse all cleaned up and what it might worth!
Thank you for your comment, yes it was an amazing day! Will definitely update when the horse has been restored value is around £800 U.K. pounds 😊
Don't feel bad, there are a whole bunch of us who have taken a plain apart and couldn't put it back together again...chuckles!
🤣🤣
The key at 43:49 is a wardrobe key. My parents had one identical to that, for a wardrobe that they bought when they were first married, in 1949.
Thanks for letting us know Ian! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
You're finding an absolute treasure of tools!
Absolutely!
again a very interestet video with cool things. i want to see you open the safe.
Pleased you enjoyed the video Peter! Watch out for the safe cracking video to see what’s inside 😊
8 track. Keep us posted what’s in the safe!
Watch out for the follow up 👍
17:50 yeah nah 😂.. blade 's that slotted flat piece you've chucked off to the side...might be worth a bit of a google see how a small jack plane works. 👍
Yes I think that’s a good idea for George to watch! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Great finds guys! Very fun! George has got to quit growing! Love watching you two!

@@Magneticg cool! Looking forward to it. Such an unexpected treasure to be laying around down there. Wish it could tell the path it took over time to end up in the water n mud. Now it will be at your house
Yes it was an unexpected treasure, it would be great if our finds could tell their story 😊
