Beautiful guitar!
It's a es 335 clapton reissue. Basically a es 335 1963 reissue
Keep in mind that John is a
super tall dude
Whoaaa! Insane! The best JM ever! Killer.
I'm speachless! :) This was grand!
This is one of the best cover rearrangements I’ve ever seen
May Bill Withers legacy last for future generations of fans & I (i.e. "Lovely Day"). Beth
That solo is addictive
Every time I come back to listen, the performance slaps my expectations. Unbelievable!
Love this cover! My wife hasn’t seen this & I know she’ll love to watch it, instant brownie-points, fellas.
You wanna hear some great guitar playing? Well here you go.... he’s a freaking MASTER!!!!
You know it ..the man is constantly evolving, master of his soul, talent and destiny!
when some guitar player sound like this man , no matter who it is, or where it comes from........automatically becomes legend. This man is a genius , this video is proof !
Although people will hate it when others say that John is one of the best guitarist out there, I definitely believe it to be true. Most guitar fanboys are focused of speed without meaning they don't appreciate the richness of meaning of John's style. He's not just a guitarist, he's an actual musician.
Gave me a chill through the body and thoughts in my mind
John is one few musician from today era thats still rockin the spirit of rock n roll and blues and not get teased by clubs tune unlike chris martin and adam levine.. bless you john
Beyond Talanted...A Gifted SOAB. Thank you John for your music, your voice and your guitar!! I mean WOW WOW WOW !!!! Keep up with your amazing music to my ears😜
I LOVE the chemistry and genius at 1:23. Christ almighty
Absolutely, that timing in the pocket is the best I’ve ever seen Steve and Pino are perfect, at 1:55 too... they make it look easy, I couldn’t even get timing like that editing it in protools...
I love how simple Pino plays, doesn't play any difficult licks that would drown out Johns playing. shows how good Pino is
John has such a great way of playing around the pocket that just gets me every time
Nothing like a classic tune being covered by John Mayer.
I'll never get tired of this cover.
nobody can ,t say thats musik ....that is the best Blues ever....omg.....thank u john
Nice groove, awesome guitar and I can only wIsh I was that talented
Pure talent and what soul this guy has, such a wonderful groove, didn't want it to stop, guess I'll just have to play it again and again and again and again 😀
Best live guitar performance in the history of the world, even though he made three or four audible errors.
Man, I’ve probably watched this 50 times! And it never gets old...
Love John Mayer great guitarist great cover BUT Ain't No Sunshine is OWNED souly by one ☝️
Did not think anyone could best Steel Bill Withers, but you got it.
best trio and the best version of this song i've heard in my life
I come back time and time again to watch this. It's incredibly
Tremendous skill. Thousands of hours of practice. The result? Mastery. Beautiful bro.
To all the Mayer haters. Yes his lyrics are written to sell albums to the teenie boppers. But this proves the man is a guitar god!!!
That's why he is Slow Hand Jr
Hell yeps
dont think he took after Clapton that much. more Hendrix and Vaughan i think. maybe thats just what ive listened through idk.
Yep. Clapton influenced him but not the degree that Hendrix, Vaughan, and BB did. My opinion obviously. Regardless, we're all winners because this is a great rendition of a spectacular tune.
Rich Giroux I don't think teens have ever listed to his music. College girls, yes - in the Room for Squares era, but no longer.
John Mayer is an amazing player/singer. Fact. Right on the money all the time. Cool John.
The solo (1:27 - 3:08) is one of the best live expressive solos ever - a rich library of licks to adapt. Great tone as well.
I've watched this about 500 times
Damm man, John mayer is in my top 3 influences
Such a great musician
We don't speak about guitar playing here no more, it's music, it's one and it's whole
ANd this dude's got it
Right on!!
Positive vibes, for the young Mr John Mayer! I know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know! I love the way you take someone else's song, and make it your own. Amazing!❤❤❤
The licks on that Bass. Man.
He rocked that song. I never thought I would like any other version. And the instrumental who out of this world. I'm loving it
Glad he made it through his "fun" stages and is still bringing his genius to us.
What kind of good vibes shit is he smokin, and where can I get some? Lol. Seriously though, this proves John Mayer is way more than just a stereotypical pop artist and that he can actually play some pretty damn good blues music. I just wish he would make a strictly blues album.
closest rendition to that would be jm trio
@@alexmickmusic and adding onto that, you might want to check out Continuum and Where The Light is, although Where The light is is a live album, it has blues songs on it which are brilliant
the drummer is always amazing at his shows
