Very happy to hear that your little girl is on the mend ,here in Ireland there's a few assholes pay no attention to these people, they have never been outside Ireland or Dublin are have never had to emigrate off the Island like I had to ...we understand your situation and pay no attention...
Thank you so much for your comment! Believe it or not most of the negative comments didn't originate from lovely Ireland... but look, we've put ourselves on a public platform so it's going to come with the territory. We are learning to take those kind of comments with a pinch of salt!
@@impromptuimmigrants That's the spirit...Most Irish people like me who have lived and worked overseas would never make negative comments ,easy to comment if you have never walked that walk ,it makes me upset and angry, when I went to America first I slept in a basement for two months, it was hard but got on my feet with help from good people...wish our weather was more pleasant...

@mikekelly5869 Does it have to be compared to anything? It's crap. Here are some reasons why. : 1. Extra help us practically impossible to get. They say its to test or see what you know, but then we'd have a MUCH bigger time limit. I think they're really just to see how someone works under time pressure, as there are many, many people who know the answer or answers to some questions but don't have the time to answer them. 3. It's practically impossible to get extra time in the exams, even if someone has reccomendations from HSE psychiatrists for extra time, even if they have recieved the diagnosis of adhd, autism and dyspraxia, and even if it is so obvious they need extra time. They give children and teenagers too much homework, not allowing them to have as much fun as they should have. They force us to learn the shitty, horrible language of Irish. I know it is similar to Cymraeg (Welsh) but I don't think the same of Welsh. Why? Because I CHOSE to learn Welsh. The students in Ireland are FORCED to learn this shitty, horrible language. We are forced to waste hours each week learning it, it gives people extra and unnecessary pressure and anxiety, extra homework and extra exam time, when there is already too much. I know many people don't care kne bit about the animals, but we're still teaching young children it's ok to love and be nice to one type of somebody, and it's ok to kill and be mean to another type of somebody. Thankfully she is through the surgery and is now healing. Please mind yourself after the shock of it all. You and your family are a great addition to the community . Best wishes Ann and family 💐😀
There has always been begrudgers in ireland, sad gits really. Been following you're journey from day one and really enjoying your family growing up in Ireland. Life is amazing, especially when we have children. Wishing gorgeous Eibhlin speedy recovery 🙏.
Thank you so much for your comment and your support. We do appreciate it so much! Our little Eibhlin is running around like nothing ever happened so I think it's safe to say she is doing very well!! xxx
I am so glad to hear that your daughter is doing well. I am so sorry you all had to go through that. Please ignore the negative people. They actually hate themselves and are just lashing out. They are not worth your time. You and your family are very brave to have undertaken your journey to Ireland. I am a second generation Canadian. My grandmother often spoke about how difficult it was for her to leave England in 1900. I am so grateful to be living here. Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I was just saying to James today that they decision to move here won't only affect our children but also their children... and I pray that this decision will open many doors for them.
Little Evelyne is a trooper. I can only imagine how you guys felt when she got injured and had to go to Hospital. My son broke his leg when he was 17 playing a Rugby game at School and was brought to Waterford Hospital, I was useless. The minute I saw him at the Hospital, I teared up. I hope that she is on the mend, and all in all the healthcare here is quite good. Its not up to the same standards as Germany, Belgium, Netherlands or France but its not bad. A lot better than the UK....... The demands on our Hospitals is massive but the staff are brilliant. Please stay in Ireland, we need clever, able and creative people like you in our country. Ok, you didn't let us win the Rugby World Cup, but we still love you ! Wishing Evelyne a speedy recovery.
Thank you so much for your comment. She is all healed up and planning her next adventure!! We were so impressed by the whole experience... although traumatic... we felt taken care of and that she was in the best hands. Sorry about the world cup!! xxx
Lovely to come across your channel. I am a Scot who emigrated to SA with my family when I was 13 (in the early 80s) and I went thru high school and tech and work and loved every minute of it and miss those days. Such a big move from a cold country to sunny SA (Durban). My husband is SAfrican but on an Irish passport cos his grandmother was Irish. We decided to come to London in 1997 and we wanted to go back so many times but due to life and work are still here 20 years later. Even for me the first 5 years I’d say were the hardest but it does get easier. However I still miss SA at various times. Lovely hearing your take on things 💕
It really did and the follow up appointments were great too. Received notification in the post for our appointments and was very happy with the treatment she received.
So glad all went well with the hospital visit for Eibhlín. Great to have good neighbors, a God send in need. Never mind the moaners, says more about their lives than yours. Good wishes from Mayo.💕🙏🏻
Finally getting to answer your comment! She is the mirror image of James! Thank you so much for your love and your support!! It means the world to us! We are looking forward to having your son (and wife!!)come and stay with us next week! Sending so much love xxx
So sorry little Eibhlin had such a traumatic weekend. Thanks so much for the detailed explanation of how it was all dealt with by the hospital, including cost - that information is extremely helpful. I'm glad you're all home again and recovering.
I’m a new subbie as well, glad to have found your videos. I moved to wales from SA and absolutely loving it! Do you and enjoy your beautiful life. Look forward to more videos. Will probably binge watch this past weekend. All the best 👏👏😇😇♥️
Delighted to hear that your daughter Evelyn is recovering well. She is very brave. I am also delighted to hear that you are getting lots of new viewers. I hope the new visitors take the time to browse your very beautiful videos of the local area.
I think your last video took off was thanks to the Ireland vs South Africa in the rugby. I was looking at alot of pre and post match analysis and your video worked it way into my feed.
Thank you so much! She is doing really well now. I think I should probably do another video of our beautiful town sometime soon... I've discovered so many new little places since the last video that I would to share!
Wishing Evelyn a speedy recovery🌹Brave little girl. Sadly you will receive negative comments as not everyone understands the situation in South Africa. I left in 2020 and I don't regret leaving. I also had a negative response to my comment I made last week on your channel but I just laughed it off. It's not easy packing up and leaving behind all you know to live in a foreign country. We learn to adapt and we keep moving forward. Once again, I personally think you made the best decision. As I say, keep on, keeping on. ❤
Thank you so much for your comment. The majority of the comments are amazing and so positive and encouraging. It can be hard to read the harsh comments but I don't let it worry me. UA-cam is clever though and manages to catch the really nasty ones and holds them for review... most of those never see the light of day :-)
I'm so happy to hear you! It is fantastic to hear that you had so many new subscribers and I hope your channel continues to grow as you deserve it over and over again. The negative Nellies can say what they want, if they are to afraid to take the leap of faith they will never know and understand what courage it takes! I know you must have been frantic. I remember when my daughter went to hospital after she had a near appendix burst and it was horrific. But it is always such a relief to see them healing up! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for sharing your family with us. You already feel like friends even though we have never met.
Oh, so sorry to hear about Eibhlín. I can only imagine when I was a kid I fractured my ankle, broke a collarbone. I don’t know how my parents did it i had 4 other siblings who were breaking stuff. It’s good to see Eibhlín on the mend. Just focus on the positivity. That’s all we can do.

Thank you for sharing 🙏 I was wandering if you could talk about this teenagers that could cause trouble, if you and your family have already passed any uncomfortable situation or if you are afraid when you are alone and have to pass through a group of teenagers.
Thank you so much for your comment. Sure, I will answer you question in my Q&A video as best as I can from our own perspective. Keep a look out for it in the next week or so.
I want to ask you 8f you have made friends in Ireland! Do you work as well as James? How have your boys settled in Ireland? I hope your baby gets better soon! You are great parents !XX
As a South African, I wish you and your Family everything of the best, you have chosen a wonderful country to immigrate to, I am certainly jealous, wish I was younger. Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.
We were just saying the other day how our boys have never actually broken a single bone (yet!!)... and now we have a little girl who is making up for lost time it seems!!
As a parent, who had an odd trip to A&E with little ones, I get it. Kids are very resiliant and bounce back. She did great, as did you. I was a bit surprised to hear about the 100euro charge as I thought the government got rid of that. Anyway. Glad she is on the mend.
They said it was because we had no referral letter, but our doctors were closed since it was late on a Saturday afternoon so we couldn't see the doctor. Did chat to caredoc on the phone and they told us to go but when I mentioned that it didn't seem to make any difference.
Good morning, Bronwen. How is sweet Eibhlín doing? Of course, nobody is owed an update but I thought about all of you earlier today and have been hoping that she is getting closer to be fully healed. If you don't want to share, it is absolutely understandable. Just know that many of us truly care and are hoping for the best for all of you.
Hello! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Eibhlin is running around like nothing ever happened! She has healed so quickly and is back to her stunts and heart stopping tactics!! Thank you for your thoughts. It's so amazing being part of this UA-cam community xxx
Glad everything was good with the little one. One thing though, you should contact the hospital accounts dept for a refund of the ED charge cos she was admitted from ED. I know it's not important given what happened but you're entitled to it.
Sorry to hear about Eibhlin's mishap. I'm sure she will be fine. Waterford hospital is apparently one of the best in Ireland. Pity about the €100 but it's obviously to deter people from using the ED as a doctor's surgery. If someone genuinely couldn't afford it they wouldn't be refused care. On the negative comments, there's always going to be a few especially as you got so many views. Don't pay them any attention. Wishing you all health and happiness for the future.
Thank you so much! We were so happy with her care as well as the follow up care. Really can't fault them. Thank you so much for your lovely comments and constant support!
As an Irish immigrant in Texas. I can understand people's curiosity about why I'm here. Still, I think there are people who make assumptions that are not helpful. We all move for lots and lots of reasons. Nobody is entitled to an explanation of those reasons.
Hi dear, there was nothing wrong with your story. People are people, and you will always have negative comments. Some leave very beautiful " footprints 👣 " behind and some very dark footprints. Next time, if you start reading and a comment turns out to be nasty, just stop reading, step back, and ignore that comment... move on.😊 Hope all will be okay with your little one. Thanks for the video. Greatings from South-Africa.
Shame man! She thought she could fly...who hasn't, eh? Shame...glad it all worked out, and believe you me, if you have had kids, as we have, we were there every step of the way with you...cheers now!
Hi your videos are a blessing. Our daughter Jess is also in Ireland with her husband, from S A, if you would like to get in touch with her, she would really love that.
Hope the girl gets well soon .There is a facility to block negative remarks . What I do on some other channels I have that are middle of the road neither left or right political stream news I get hit from all sides. but mostly SPAM that clutters the story .There exists the faculty to have all remarks public or private or delayed until you edit them .I use the faculty delayed until I edit them .I tell all up from that i use a faculty that does this and tell them SPAM or pig ignorant remarks wont be allowed .The remarks come in I look them and I decide if the remark goes up or not .Because of that i don't get the remarks because they know the remarks wont be seen . I let 99.999 %remarks from left and right and middle politics that I often don't agree with if they are to the point worth debating issues but nasty stuff or rigid political mantra neo NAZI or Communist extreme stuff wont get on so they don't bother to send it .I do not want to stop legitimate debate stuff so that facility deters the idiots and the trolls .Hope that helps

The education system is crap though.
@oddvegan9797 compared to what? It's not perfect but it's as good as, or better than anywhere else I've been.

They make the parents pay for books and uniforms, whoch are extremely expensive. Of course I think parents should pay if they choose to have a child, for their pleasure, but otherwise it's very unfair, especially if it causes the child to not have wht they need in other ways, like maybe they'll have less food because of the payment for the school clothes and books.
They don't pay the teachers enough.
I did have absolutely great and wonderful teachers though in secondary school in Ireland, who were jut really absolutely great and wonderful teachers, and so nice.
They ignore animal agriculture. In the CSPE book I jad in third year, they had a chart about greenhouse gas emissions from Ireland. It showed something 17.9 percent for energy, 17.8 percent in transport, and 33.3 percent in agriculture. Then they had two full pages for energy, two full pages for transport, and the closest thing they said about agriculture was that we shouldn't use straws, because they might kill turtles and we shouldn't eat any soy products, because of deforestation. Most soy grown is eaten by animals, most kf the Amazon deforestation happens for animals, and how about proposing to us to NOT EAT SEA ANIMALS if they want to protect marine life?? They had nothing else on THE biggest cause of green house gas emissions in Ireland. Clearly trying to not get us interested in that.

You need to watch her other videos. Yes she works weekends at a local nursing home.
Thank you so much! I will be answering your questions in my next video... the Q&A.
As a South African, I wish you and your Family everything of the best, you have chosen a wonderful country to immigrate to, I am certainly jealous, wish I was younger. Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.
Thank you so much!
Sorry to hear about your child. I thought it was only boys that tried to fly. We've been there.😂😂😂
We were just saying the other day how our boys have never actually broken a single bone (yet!!)... and now we have a little girl who is making up for lost time it seems!!
As a parent, who had an odd trip to A&E with little ones, I get it. Kids are very resiliant and bounce back. She did great, as did you.
I was a bit surprised to hear about the 100euro charge as I thought the government got rid of that. Anyway. Glad she is on the mend.
Yeah so did I plus the child is under 3 I think they made a mistake
Maybe you blew up coz of SA vs Ire? 😂 Gonna be interesting if we meet in the RWC final. Thanks for the informative videos
That comment didn't age well😢
@@mikekelly5869 Haha, apologies sir. 🙏 Would've loved to have seen a repeat of that epic game.
@@gwijotube Me too! There will be other opportunities. Best of luck in the big one.
Ah... I see this comment a few weeks too late!!! A Irish vs SA final would've been incredible! I'm only recovering now from the nailbiter of a final!
Yep, the flying stage is one of the most dangerous !! 😂 😂 be aware there may be another attempt to fly when recovered !!
Everyone has their own story. Thank you for your comment!
Hi dear, there was nothing wrong with your story. People are people, and you will always have negative comments. Some leave very beautiful " footprints 👣 " behind and some very dark footprints. Next time, if you start reading and a comment turns out to be nasty, just stop reading, step back, and ignore that comment... move on.😊
Hope all will be okay with your little one. Thanks for the video. Greatings from South-Africa.
Thank you for your comment, great advice.
Shame man! She thought she could fly...who hasn't, eh? Shame...glad it all worked out, and believe you me, if you have had kids, as we have, we were there every step of the way with you...cheers now!
She's a real dare devil, keeps us on our toes from sunrise to sunset!! Thank you so much for the comment
Hi your videos are a blessing. Our daughter Jess is also in Ireland with her husband, from S A, if you would like to get in touch with her, she would really love that.
Thank you so much for your comment. Your daughter is welcome to contact me, love hearing everyone's immigration stories.
South Africa is now so dangerous and currently have only 6 hours max of electricity power per day
I've heard that the load shedding is just a constant occurrence now.
I'd say the kids are all terrified about who is going to have an 'accident' this week to keep the views up! I am joking sorry poor sense of humour!
