Happy Sunday people of UA-cam and welcome back to yet another fun video. We enjoyed making this one and really, it was difficult trying to come up with negative things to say about our little island but we got there in the end.🏝️ 🙈😂 Enjoy and don’t forget to drop us a message bellow ⬇️ don’t forget to 😄 Like, love & subscribe.
I can't recommend my own capital Oslo, but I have a few other ones! In Germany you have two gems, Köln (Cologne) and Leipzig. Love them both!! And Malaga in Spain is one of my favourites. The Danish cities Aalborg and Aarhus are beautiful!!
Yes Lorraine...quite right due to the weather we need more rooves over outdoor spaces so people could enjoy more outdoors all seasons...well...both seasons in ireland...short summer extra long winter 😊
We have a folk festival in our town over the duration of a long weekend. They get 5 or 6 massive marquee's to shade from sun or rain! Wonderful idea Lorraine's and can confirm it works! We have wet winters, most of all of our town shops have verandah's.. We have bike lanes here. If cars drive into them, they get a fine. It saves lives! 😂 Ireland is the new Switzerland, as far as banking goes! Trains are cheaper than buses here. We get 20days annual leave, 4 weeks including weekends! Totals 28day. 2 paid bereavement/compassion days per year. 10 paid sick days. Sounds similar. I think our bank holidays may be called public holidays or long weekends perhaps.
@Corrky both countries were under the penal system and still have similar ways of living.. I think our public health system might be slightly more helpful though!
I’m in New Jersey and I get 5 weeks vacation and 12 federal/state holiday days off. I was in Galway last month for a couple days and really enjoyed salt hill. I would love to see a video out there when the weather permits.
Ye could do a comparison list of say 10 things Ireland V Croatia - prices of things - homes-types-areas... food shop...transport... socialising... tourism-costs ... flights... clothing... weather-seasons... xmas etc ❤😊
Nice video, quite refreshing a video to educate.❤💫But damn, who sang that song in the background 12:38… “you and me can start a whole new chapter.” Great song🎉
Ireland is super pricey, mate. The public transport is a total joke, worse than a year-old cheeseburger. And don't even get me started on the rent... it's absolutely insane!
Hi guys, we enjoy your videos very much. I have to disagree on the public transport though. I can go from Dromod in Leitrim to Dublin (2 hours ride with the train) for 26 Euro. That's return. A similar ride in the UK would cost me over 100£/116€. We hope you have a happy Sunday.
Hi theBeeWrite.. I love your user name by the way. 🐝 📝 😁 €26 return still feels expensive to me and the trip from Galway to Dublin always feels endless and if we had a railway system that was more efficient I think it would make a huge difference. Like the speed trains they have in Asia. 😅🌍
@@curlyginger215 thanks for the compliment 👍. Even better from a fellow ginger lady 🤗 I get the sentiment of it not being efficient but believe me coming from the UK it is rather cheap. We love living here. Always have been welcomed so warmly and helped a lot. Your country rocks despite the housing crisis which is really hard. Would you be willing to challenge yourself and cook a vegan dish? We'd love to see that. 💗
@@thebeewrites Thank’s for sharing your thoughts 🐝 ☺️ it’s interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions and I’m glad you’re happy. Maybe we could try to make a vegan/veggie cottage pie 🥧 someday.. I would love to learn about the gyms there, vegan places and food, farmers markets, and community gardens… The Loire Valley I felt was well worth visiting in France… thank you.
We went to a market in our previous video so check that out. As to the rest I’ll be honest I don’t think that will happen. I’m not a vegan and i never went to gym in my life. Thanks for France recommendation!
Hi Guys I live in Australia and everything is becoming too expensive, my house insurance has gone up to $9000 au per year and food is really expensive now, alcohol is a lot cheaper here than in Ireland though. Finding a house to rent is becoming impossible and aggression on the roads is scary, my husband is Irish and we are wanting to move back to Ireland
Irish banking is the worst and most expensive in the world, after 2 years of unsuccessful tries to get one, I realised I don't need one, I use N26 for all, which is like Revolut, but on steroids..
I'd love to visit, try to find some very very distant relations. But my wife refuses to wear a burka and I doubt we'd fit in these days....am I wrong about this?
I'm in the US looking to move to Ireland by the end of the year, but I'm confused when it comes to visas. How do I apply for a visa that would allow me to live and work in Ireland long term? Do I apply when I get to Ireland, or before, while I'm still in the US?
Hi guys :) I loved the video! I'm considering moving to Ireland next year and can't decide between Dublin and Galway or any other city in the country. Any advice?

100% right on social welfare cases.. couldn't agree more, I would just add immigration politics as many people are coming here and using up the system..
Another con you can see from the video is that there is never any blue sky, mostly because it rains all of the time, how ever irish people make up for it 🎉😂

Think of all the out houses in the out islands 😂. You can't even speak the language of your colonizers correctly are ya even able to speak your own. Great men died for this country while weak ones stood around complaining doing fuck all. Nice to see you keeping tradition alive you gowl 😂
Regarding your social welfare and housing comments how do you feel about the mass migration of undocumented migrants that are entering Ireland and automatically get social welfare medical card housing and as an Irish person myself who had my own business that I had to close I can’t get this.. have you yourself been on social welfare Lorraine? Don’t be so quick to pass judgment on Irish citizens who are entitled to this at harsh times. You sound very uneducated what is really happening in this country Good vibes ☘️🍀
Neither Lorraine nor I were ever on social welfare. And in regards to first part of your question I find that whatever and whenever we say anything about the topic we get a huge influx of radicals (from both sides) and we start being threatened so you will not get any comment on that from us ever again on this channel.

Average rent per month for a 1 Bedroom in Boston is about $3143 Euro. It's crazy expensive here.
Wow, that actually is crazy!
I was in Boston in March, and I absolutely loved the city. I would 100% live there but might need a housemate to slit the rent! Any takers?!
The same as Dublin but you can make 2 or 3 time more + have the descent weather and normal infrastructure
I am planning to move to Cork City, so this is most helpful
Glad to hear it!

To be honest I have no idea about house insurance here but that sounds way too much!
Galway will be hopping tonight though ;)
Because of the game? Yeah I believe it's crazy in town right about now.
Rent is worse in U.S depending on thr city. I seen a single bedroom apartment going for almost $2,000 without utilities included.
I’m starting to get the picture. I’ve heard crazy stories about rent in US.
@@Corrky Everything in the U.S is a little crazy right now. My plan is to finish college get my Irish citizenship and move over to Ireland.
Not in the rural area of upstate New York where I live. 1 bedroom apartments run $850 to $900 per month without utilities.
That sounds much more reasonable.
