An organic cucumber isn't any healthier to eat than a regular one. You're just paying extra to feel virtuous.
    Love the channel.

I love shopping at Lidl, one of my favourites stores in Dungarvan, especially the middle isle. Going through the isles with you, I need to remember that the price of your items is above the products, not like here where the price is below the item. Shopping with you made me realise how much more groceries cost in Ireland. Multiplying all your prices by around 20, gives the cost in South African rands. Pity you couldn't come to the farm for some of your veggies, you would've got your sweet potatoes, brinjals, spinach, tomatoes, onions and avos for free!!!!!!! We should be shopping with you at Lidl's in two weeks' time. 😉🥰

You know things are bad when they have security tags and cctv warnings in with the uncooked chickens! I'm sure people aren't stealing chickens for kicks!!?

I realize the salary/wages are less in Ireland than the U.S., that said, I paid $7 for a jar of standard brand mayonnaise and $36 for a box of pull up diapers today. And that was just two items of the items in my grocery cart today in Oregon, USA. Not everyone makes a lot of money here in the States, in fact, most do not have a high income. Prices are higher everywhere it seems, we're all feeling it. Love your videos!

I find that by spreading my shopping around a few different supermarkets I have been able to keep the overall cost in check-not that much more than a couple of years ago. So depending on what I need, one week I do a Lidl shop, the next week a Dunnes shop and then maybe a SuperValu shop (for just a few ‘own brand’ items as overall it’s more expensive than the other two). And you can buy perfectly healthy food without going all organic.

We have been living in Ireland about 26Km North of Cork for 4 years now. Left SA in 2020. We try to buy as much organic as possible. Yes the prices are rather steep. However , we like it here. We buy mostly in Dunnes. Please stay well.

Dunnes is probably the most expensive for groceries.

The healthy food is priced correctly, it's just the cheaper food is cheap for a reason.

Just wanted to let you know that there were thousands of SAFFAS at the embassy voting two Saturdays ago. We queued for 3 hours. Hopefully, change will come and corruption and crime will feature high on the agenda !

Inflation is everywhere 😢 And yes, it's crazy that the healthy food is more expensive! Interesring vid, thank you. What would the SA equivalent of Lidl be?

You got through the middle aisle without buying a se of screwdrivers or drill bits you didn't need. I'm almost certain there's some kind of law against that. Possibly a referral to the ICJ. 🤣🤣🤣 The penguin doesn't count because your child was very good.
