Very interesting. Had no idea what was required when you enter through the front door. Huge respect for you. An Irishman, Seattle.
Much appreciated, thank you for your comment
I found the online booking system for Home Affairs a breeze. Made an appointment online, arrived on the day and did not have to stand in any queue. Photos were done inside and I was out within 30 minutes for both the ID card and new passport. Within 2 weeks I received an sms to go and collect both !
That wasn't really set up in 2019, or maybe they were just starting with it. I don't remember it being an option. I'm glad it's working!!
@@impromptuimmigrants It's a more recent thing, but it's currently only available for ID card and passport applications, not yet for other things like birth and marriage certificates.
@@impromptuimmigrants Yeah this is at the banks, home affairs have bank branches now, wish they would expand offering to other documentation.
Paracetamol restrictions in Ireland are a suicide prevention measure.
This was very informative and helpful
Thank you.
Just joined the fam 🌹👊🏾🙌🏾❤️🔥
Hi, Bronwen, like your videos. I have family staying in Co Wexford (Gorey) I am a EU passport holder and we were in Ireland in 2016 for a year but a good work opportunity brought us back to SA. The same Job has now gone global and we are going back to Ireland in the next 12 months. I would like to know about the need for an Unabridged marriage cert? We used the normal one last time round for my wife;s stamp 4. Did that change that you now need an Unabridged marriage cert. Thanks Maurice
Sorry for the late reply! As far as I understand the unabridged marriage cert is needed for when you want to naturalise as an Irish citizen. Also I was asked for it at the irish border... I suppose it all depends who you get at customs sometimes.
Thanks for your good advice.
Thanks for the comment 😊
Working class around Europe can't afford a weekend in ireland, pitiful politicians, cronsym, globalism.
What does cronsym mean?
@@impromptuimmigrants If you accuse someone in authority of cronyism, you mean that they use their power or authority to get jobs for their friends (Collins online dictionary)
Aah, it’s so sad that working class folks cannot afford to fly to another country for the weekend. Maybe their budget expectations are a tad too high. Maybe a staycation is in order.😂😂
Hope your children are happy and doing well in Ireland.
Wow beautiful intro sound track
hey dear, how can i apply for a work permit visa in South Africa, since i am planning to go seek for work in Ireland
Very pragmatic advice
Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you for the information
Thank you for the info.
Is your SA credit record relevant in Ireland or you have to start over?
Morning, can I come in and start the process from inside
It all depends on what passport you're travelling on and if family are joining you. Have a look at www.sa2eire.com loads of info on that site.
From South Africa do I need to have a Visa for Ireland?
It's a visa on arrival. Have a look at www.sa2eire.com anything you need to know us on that website
As of July 10th 2024 you need a visa
@@impromptuimmigrantsSouth Africans now require a visa it was changed recently
Do you feel happy in ireland? I found your video because i want to leave SA.
Hi, thank you for your comment. We are happy here. The weather takes some adjusting, and we miss our friends and family, but on a whole we are happy.
I'm a single mom from south africa will it be advisable to move with my children same year or i should leave them behind and take them the following year?
Bring plenty money and get used to been double taxed and after this winter bring 5 rain coats
The rain has been a little excessive this year!
@@impromptuimmigrants its been 7 months im sick of it
@@impromptuimmigrants , if it's any consolation, we have had 'biblical rain' since November in California. My brother visited in February from Dublin and he got three dry cold days. His words- "I've never seen anything like this rain in Ireland, it's biblical." Seriously this is the first dry weekend we have had in months.
Yes...please don't come to Ireland.
please come
I hear your concerns about the impact of more people moving to Ireland. It's important to respect the perspectives of those who currently live in a country and value its unique qualities. If you have any suggestions on how to balance welcoming newcomers while preserving the essence of Ireland, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
😂😂😂😂
@@impromptuimmigrants I'm a UK citizen and moved to Ireland over 20 years ago. Its GREAT country but as as you know its become so expensive with a terrible housing shortage. I think thats why people are being warned off coming here for those reasons . However its still a great place if you can get settled and just avoid Dublin ( VERY $$$) . Thank you for coming here you are so welcome as are the many others who have made it their home :)
England is a shite hole as well 😅
Morning, can I come in and start the process from inside
