- Check out how we set up our diy chick brooder using a spare dog crate. I’ll show you the amenities that these spoiled girls have as well as a few hacks for the chick waterer and feeder. Please add any questions or suggestions in the comments so we can all learn from each other!

Thank you for taking the time to provide such helpful and thorough information. Well done!
So kind of you to say, thanks. Glad i could help
i used our dog crate as they grew and even made a nexting box out of it. i wrapped it with shade cloth with zip ties and shimmied it on 2x2's in the corner of our wood fence in the corner. we made a long ramp for the girls to get in and put a branch in for roosting. they slept in there and laid their eggs in it. it was perfect
That’s so smart! 💡
I’m looking to do this for my brooder when I get mine 👏 great video!
It worked out really nice! Congrats on your new flock. I’m resisting the urge to get more this winter 😏😍 Thanks for watching.
I didn’t even look at this and we bought one. It should be coming today.
Awesome! Have so much fun! 🐣
Bingo! Thanks
I'm so Excited
I like a soft sided dog crate with mesh and a zippered top. Otherwise they kick the shavings everywhere and the little suckers can fly when small. Or just tape some cardboard to a metal cage.
So many good ideas. Thanks for sharing
Loved every bit of your video
Thank you so much!
Woohooo!!! Katie!!! Yay!!! How exciting... your a UA-camr... and you have 3 videos already! I’ll be back to see the other two, I’m just super excited for you and had to stop and say hola, so HOLA 👋😆💚
Rodrigo Banuelos Gonzalez Haha you’re the best Rodrigo! Always the #1 cheerleader 😁 Thank you so much 🤗
Thank you for the ideas. Right now the chicks are in the bathtub in a laundry basket. ( the cardboard box I had them in bottom fell out. ).
Just 6 chicks 🐥. I have a big backyard
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and enjoy those little cuties! They change so fast don’t they?
@@FrecklesSprouts Yes they do.
What size crate? We have a large one but not sure if it's as big as yours
