- My girlfriends 2011 Jeep Liberty 3.7l v6 engine blew up on us on the way to Tucson from the Albuquerque balloon fiesta. Dropped a valve seat and locked the motor up. Destroyed a few things. Dad and me get it on the road again for under 500 (hopefully)

The thing that makes this job even better is that you did it for Emily, someone you care for. Making her happy is the greatest payment of all.
You did a great job babe! I’m so happy to be driving it again ❤️
Emily’s reaction was priceless, you’re a keeper!
Thanks Peggy! We need to visit again soon
So happy to see someone in America repairing the engine of his vehicle. Just hearing the number of times perfectly good vehicles are crushed over there due to a just a blown head gasket makes me sick. The American spirit lives on. 👍
Great job. Engine is quiet. Love the way you didn't rush the job and took a methodical approach. Cudos to Dad for sharing his expertise! Emily had a look of pure joy on her face when you gave it back to her.
Thank you!
Love this! Thanks for taking such good care of our Emily!!! ❤
That’s bold using the old rod! Glad it worked out alright and Emily got her car back.
Her reaction had to be worth it. Cute couple.
Travis has become one of my favorite shows on UA-cam. Keep up the great work!
Yall did a great job! I'm sure Emily really appreciates you for your efforts.
Awww that smile at the end, totally worth it
And your Dad is awesome
So happy to see this and it makes me feel good
Feels good doanit. Hell yeah man, making people smile is the best. That first start up was something out of a fairytale lol, zero issues and ran perfect. Satisfying as all get out
That was really nice of you. She seemed really happy.
Excellent job. Tons of labor to replace that one piston. You’re very lucky that you have your dad to help you. Thank you for sharing this video. 🙏
Awesome job Travis. I enjoyed watching this...I knew you'd do a great job😊
Your dad cracked me up when you started the engine. He is an old mechanic was not surprised it started up. “Yep that’s what it’s supposed to do”
Great video. Very educational. Enjoyed seeing your girlfriend’s reaction.
Great job and knowledge. Thanks for sharing
Good job Travis brag on your dad more I miss my dad
I love your videos and I am in awe of how well you and your Dad get along. At least it appears that way. He and you are "budds".
Big Job;Great Surprise!
So DAMN SATISFYING when it starts up with no knocking, leaking or engine light, GREAT JOB. That looked like a PAIN IN THE ASS TO ASSEMBLE.
You and your Dad rock!
I like these videos I really like the ones where you work with your dad.allways wanted one like that.keep it up
Amazing! Well done!!!
My grandson has a 2003 liberty that had the same problem with 103,000 miles on it. He wanted to get another vehicle and use the jeep as a trade in. His father gave me the vehicle. I will be using your vehicle as a guide. you have given me a preview. Thanks.
Love to watch you and your dad work on vehicles. Educational and entertaining all in one show. Keep them coming.
Enjoy the time with your Dad!
Thank you for sharing 🙏
had a 2012 liberty with 3.7 thatdid same thing. glad to see you got it going again
Great video thanks for sharing
Nice work sounds good
Good Man Travis
Great job!
Great job you and your dad did
You doing that head rebuild with your old man reminds me of doing the same with my dad on an OHC 2 litre Cortina in the UK back in the early 80s. Good memories.
Great quick job but always paying attention to details! A must in modern engines today. I applaud DAD for giving you only what you need for right advice and letting you figure things out for yourself if you can, with a little assurance from dad if needed.
Yeah he’s great!
Very nice. Keep it up!
Do more videos with your dad he has a wealth of knowledge we can all learn from
Great job
Great job guy's

Awesome and prompt repair. I've got a '05 Liberty and '08 Commander with the same engine.
It great to see some work like my dad and I did so long ago

Well... the algorithm worked. I follow channels like Budget Buildz, Halfass Kustoms and Clunkers and Classics, and now out of nowhere this video showed up in my recs, and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing, so... new sub!!
Cheers from Buenos Aires!!

its always a good idea when you have a engine apart to do a cam crank correlation with a scan tool usually they run better and start quicker

Thank you
Can do attitude for the win. Did the same repair on a 2.8 Chev V6 back in ‘95 or ‘96
Good Job
Thank you!
Nice job looks like you can just about fix anything
Man you got a TON of "honey do" points for this one!
Should last me at least a year
Mad skills. You and your dad should run a mechanic school.
Great education
You and your dad are good mechanics. A lot of know-how. Impressive achievement, and it was the icing on the cake to do it for someone you care about.
Enjoy the time you have with your dad, I lost my dad to dementia first then he passed away. The smartest man I ever knew until this nasty disease took his life so enjoy every day you have with him. JS
Good job, good BF ... nice story !
good work...l luv your videos
always take out the top bolts first on the bell housing.
Bravo!
Well done, saved a nice looking Jeep. Yea!
Man, I’ve been subscribed to your channel since the very first video I saw of yours a few months ago.
Hope you cleaned the cylinder out well ,washed it out then clean cloth with oil to make sure there was no metal left from honing ,plus you had the crank covered
Good video as usual, the tree near your workbench and vise is one of our Aussie ones I think, a kurrajong.
Great job. Not sure what went wrong. I bought a 05 new in 04 and put 170K on it. Never touched the engine same as hers. Same plugs ran great. Also had a 97 dakota similar engine 217 K on it before wrecked.
BUEN VIDEO!
I’m glad you found a girlfriend. I’m still looking a girl. But I’m happy for you man. Keep up the good work.😁
Thanks Noah!
U done a fantastic job
Thank you!
Nice 😊

I also have a KK, I can’t wait until you have to do the heater core one day.
How bad, as i’ve got to do it myself here soon
My daughter had a Jeep Liberty, but it was the older body style. Also, a 3.7 liter. When she sold it, the mileage was well over two hundred thousand. It treated her pretty good other than the gas mileage which I do not believe was very good. I hope you did not get any gasket material into the coolant or oil passages.
