really wish they would of updated the code for new gen consoles. i feel like it would still of been around especially if they had made it both xbox and sony and brought it forward to the ps4 and also made it available for pc. in my opinion was a lot better gameplay than cod will ever be. and the customization was amazing.

1:09 this puts into perspective how massive EVE’s ships are. You see that giant thing lifting off? That’s a Manticore, a type of FRIGATE, which feel a lot tinier than they really are since you can’t get a sense of scale in space

@@Terriblechannellolbecause canonically in Eve Online small and medium ships have role of frigates, battleships and cruisers but they are all fighter shaped type as you can see in the design. Best example of this is the Raven, you see that and you probably think it’s a fighter for the design until you realize it’s bigger than the Enterprise from Star Trek
Then, you see the drones that carriers can deploy in battlefiled have the size of a frigate but the firepower of a destroyer, the resistance of a dreadnought and the mobility of a corvette

The humans from EVE Online are one of the most technologically advanced through whole Sci-Fi
I believe if the Covenant invaded the Caldari instead of the UNSC, the Covenant would be screwed up at the first moment
The geometry very similar, very utilitarian and lots of hard angles. Technology level has nothing to do with it like some comments are hinting at here since they seem to have read something different then what was written.
I love how the torpedo impacts on the enemy ship are synchronized with the music.
seeing those tanks reminds me of the old dust 514 days, really wish they went somewhere with that game, loving these faction videos!
That was my first thought on seeing the formations of Caldari troopers. Dust 514 was a refreshingly original idea and direction for game developers to go in. Imagine if we saw a similar game cross over for universes like Star Wars or 40k.

Poor dev decisions led to unhappy players. Players are complaining because they care, and wish the game to improve.

the internet is like a cancer the ability to communicate about somthing in the way you now have makes every one look for the bad in somthing and it spirals out of controll
if you stopped looking for the negatives and played the game for how you play it you wouldent see any negatives and would enjoy it

The shots from 1:04 to 1:08 reminded me of similar shots from "Dune". To be specific: The Sardaukar scene on Salusa Secundus.

Eventually only one of his ships remained, a badly damaged fighter-carrier. In his dying breaths Tovil-Toba directed the huge vessel down towards Gallente Prime.

Yeah, blowing up civies sounds like a good story. At least the Gallenteans for the most part had trajectory analysis software for their drones and bombs, guy crashes a aneutronic fusion reactor into a random metropolis.

Back in 2020, I used to fight for the Amarr in FW, then left the game for two years as was usual for me since 2010. Thought I'd never touch it again this time, but this trailer really dragged me back in and inspired me to get back into FW.

I still remember logging into EVE on my PC so I could hover over a planet in my Cormorant for Orbital Strikes while playing DUST514 on my PS3.
CCP announced at FanFest 2022 (last week) that they are once again making a tactical FPS. Whether or not they will revive some form of Dust remains unclear, but Hjalmar himself delivered the news. Straight from the Icelandic Horse's mouth.

They got tired of how everyone thought the other factions were lame compared to the Minmatar video, and finally upgraded one.
Yeah I think they'll upload better version for Amarr and Gallente soon, as well. Also would love to see vids for the non-empire-space factions, too (Jove, Sleepers, Triglavians)
I don't know why either as most minmatar ships look like meccano pieces put together at random and thrown back into their boxes.
Oh, come on. They use straight beams, no need to be aerodynamic in space. Other than that - they look pretty cool. IMHO the Maelstrom is one of the prettiest ships in the game.
I can't wait for the Gallente Federation revamped trailer. I would like to see how they visualize the steel beneath the velvet.

god what nostalgia it brings me to see the infantry troops 1:54 reminds me of the times of Dust514 I even recognize a gunnlogi tank when I see it, I hope that the shooter that ccp is working on is what Dust was, large infantry battles and vehicles on big maps but at least improved in terms of graphics and other things that dust lacked
I miss it too. Things were just getting interesting with new gear like rail rifles when the game was shut down.

The game is better than the videos. It's much more immersive and has opportunity to create personal stories, more so than any other MMO
I love seeing the details in these trailers. The planet-side cities, soldiers, bombing runs, the living world. I've played with people. I understand that all the boring leads up to brief moments of intense fun, but I enjoy learning about the lore of New Eden and actually getting to see more than big planets I occasionally see and the same station models than I ever did playing the game. It almost makes me want to go back after the past few years. Almost.

@Killian Ogden Atmospheric, ship/submarine launched missiles often do the same thing, at low velocities drag isn't a problem. But it is indeed accurate for space missiles.

The only thing i dislake about Caldari is, that they are allied with Amarr, which dosnt really fits, After all, the values of caldari are much closer to the ones of Gallante, even with the history behind them, then with amarr. The Amarr represant the exact opposite of meritokratic, rational, liberal and corporate values, in every sense.
I am still proude and loyal Citizen of The Caldari State tho.
The Gallente are allied with the minmatar,who have a righterous hate for the amarr,but the gallente hate the Caldari for hipocritical reasons. Imagine the caldari have to wage a war against the combined fleet of the minmatar and gallente.not even they would survive that war. it's not about similarities,it's about an "the enemy of my enemy is a friend" like situation.

Eve online needs a TV series
If only the game was actually this good. Like this looks thrilling. Except in the actual game, there is no walking in stations, no atmospheric flying, no actual cool shit going on in the game. Also welcome to a new price hike as well.
Walking in stations was never going to be a key part of making Eve good, and the subscription increase is less than inflation has been over the years.

Maybe the alliance didn't, but the members did. You were dormant when the real fighting happened. You're back now, and top for kills, but still lose more than you kill- hopefully you'll get your shit together but you might not be the place for newer people to go to learn FW, not yet.

We have a lot of new players and some wiley veterans. We fly frigates to Dreadnaughts and can be counted upon to do our Duty. The new people are learning through blood and fire.

I mean, it's pretty accurate physics. I'm glad they included the thrusters firing... just made it look so much cooler.
