This one is more than twice as long and has clearly way more effort put into it than the Gallente one, and the other two aren't even done yet. This one is a real banger, no doubt, but I can't help but feel CCP missed a huge opportunity YET AGAIN. Making one for each empire, making them all 2+ minutes like this one, and releasing them all + putting them on the character select screen could do a LOT for new player engagement.
I also got really proud when the gallente trailer came out , i downloaded it to a mp3 and just replay it countless times , i dont care what people say about gallente , it was my first choice and i am happy with it
Minmatar is versatile at is pure: Drones, Missiles, Artillery (You can even set some other guns but they wont have traits), Hull, Armor, Shield, its a good race to start also, its guns dont consume capacitor per cycle ♥

When i heard it as someone from Poland i really wanted to join Minmatar. Because i understand how history can shape someone. Because i really apreciate freedom. Unfortunatelly Gallente was my faction. But still when i have chance i fight with Minmatar allies. To break chains. To free those who are oppresed.
Typhoons are my favourite ship from a design standpoint. It's brutally practical yet feels almost elegant at the same time, not even the Nid and Hel match it despite being the same concept.
With 7 years of experience from constant playing of EVE Online I'll say this. This is probably THE most effective material for background building in EVE and to get people interested in playing something and giving it a try. Heck now I want to create a minmatar character and do Minmatar missions to learn more about the lore and take the fight to the Amarr. Please keep this up CCP. This was a solid 10/10. Maybe Caldari and Amarr next. Then perhaps story stuff about Faction Warfare (with a rework of the entire system of how it plays)

Now that videos for all empires have come out, I can say with confidence that the Minmatar received the lions share of the lore money. Caldari one was lackluster unfortunately, Gallente one seemed, like it didn't actually tell anything of the Caldari v Gallente history like the Minmatar one did with them against the Amarr Empire. Very strange how out of four cinematics, this was the only one with excellent production quality

Gallente : space frenchies who nearly wiped out the Caldari with drones and blasters, with ship designs which can be qualified as ... funky to say the least, with quite a few true beauties ( Argos, Megathron, Hyperion, Myrmidon to name a few ). Amarr : religious enslaving nutjobs with golden armor and lasers ( meh, I hate lasers, not enough versatility ). And then you have Minmatar : a liberated people who fight to free those still enslaved, their ships are quite fast, while still being able to endure a beating without breaking and their weapons ? Good old autocannons, artilleries and missiles ... They are the underdogs of New Eden, hell they even are the last faction to still use nukes.
Should go and run Data Sites or Combat sites for the event! Even if you don't have a minmatar ship maybe you have a minmatar skin! But I do reccommend either a stabber fleet issue for the event sites, or a cheetah / probe for the data sites :)

The "Raise the Flag" series for instance - I recall a squad of Crows shooting missiles at a Megathron hovering over some Caldari city, for instance. That's a video of pre-2010 EVE

I agree with you , but i have choosen to be a gallente and no matter what people think of it i am equally as proud to have choosen it , i play hardcore roleplay , everything i do is in the name of the federation, AND I HAVE FUN THAT WAY , all there is left to say is that i am happy that minmatar and gallente are friends and that we can fight TOGETHER against the opressing amarr , in rust we trust! As so i trust in my drones
@@fallenstar171 I have been thinking about choosing Gallente in the first place (because of the politicial/social description), but... you know - ships' appearance. I don't like them so much as Minmatar or Caldari. So I have chosen Minmatar as they have pretty decent ships and really nice background story. Actually the futher I play, the more I'm glad my character is Minmatar. And yes - I also "feel" the game's story, so I try to roleplay as much as it is possible, for example - I never fly to Amarr systems or trade with them.

Besides, it isn't really important which empire you chose (what I know now) as every ship in game could be used by anyone. I've got plenty of different ships at home station including Gallente's.

The Amarr subjugated them for a long time. When one of the emperors attacked the Jovians they lost most of the imperial fleet. The minmatar took advantage of this and started their rebellion.
They should have added the trailers of the 4 empires to character creation. I blindly picked Minmatar because I liked rebels and the aesthetics. I would have liked to have known a little more before making the decision. Even though I don’t know it doesn’t matter.
Those ships should be combusting in atmosphere due to their tritanium makeup. I'm not even going to start on the use of clone trooper dropsuits which didn't even exist yet.
Not neccesary. Tritanium is an unknown non-metal material based on tritium and carbon that is 100 billion times harder than steel, even much stronger than Marvel's vibranium and can hold up to 600ºC millions temperature being then inmune to regular plasma thus invulnerable to the heat of regular stars 😂😂😂
@@HwangInhoBooNam We can fly close to stars due to in-game space wizardly they don't feel like explaining. It is very deliberately pointed out that it cannot be used in most atmospheres though. Sometimes citing temperature, sometimes citing atmospheric conditions themselves making it unstable and/or corrosive. Trailer ignores that because marketing people are adept at repurposing assets for things they know nothing about.
Now please put some of this effort into the immersion and storytelling elements in the game like voice acting and cutscenes selectable multiple choice dialogues that affect the outcome of a mission etc etc
