Dust 514. Will never forget that game. Came out with a 10 year plan... at the end of the ps3's life. One of my favorites of all time. Made many friends and enemies

the true tea baggers, the pink fuzzy bunny slippers .those are two of the corps I remember from DUST514 , I loved being a Tanker and a drop ship pilot. Played from day 1 was supper bummed out when they closed up shop.. Loved how PS3 players were called Dust Bunnies too loll ahhh , the good ole days

Very excited for all of this stuff.
Last time it was a PS3 exclusive, right before the new console generation was released. Let's hope this version isn't using Unity as the engine.
if this is for ps only again it will fail as it did before.

Yeah, the FPS screenshots look amazing. I'm extremely curious. I love the idea of a cluster spanning game tied to a much more intimate planetary surface fps. Especially if they intersect more actively than just the market. Having planetary bombardment or surface to orbit attacks would be epic.
Still disappointing. NPC Null needs a rework and why tf did they remove belts from Curse.

This FPS module they showed in detail on fanfest few minutes ago looks true to the idea EVE was created with, exploring, creating, fighting. I hope they will release it soon. Part of EVE, where you can walk? Yes, please give.

I like the Tarkov-like experience but I'd like to see more MMOFPS like MAG, Battlefield or Planetside 2. Will be there vehicles?

For EVE It looks generic af. We've seen so effing many similar trailers.
As a player of Dust514, I am really excited to see a return of the FPS module. I still want to see better fighter/flight sim integration. I want a dog fight, not a pick-and-click. JustMHO
that would be nice but its never going to happen, the game is just not designed for that kind of ship combat
@@SpydersByte It might work for Vanguard, once they add vehicles. Atmospheric flight, and maybe low orbit.
@@SpydersByte - They could add a VR dog fighting module into EVE Online via EVE Valkyrie just like they are seemingly doing from what they learned with DUST.
@@TerrbearSF EVE Valkyrie is very shallow for a dogfighter though, it was basically just made to have an EVE-related VR game. I dont think anything theyve done with Valkyrie could be easily integrated into EVE itself because the flight models/flight physics are completely different and separate.
After 10 years i am still here, playing, and i played many many games and still play. This game can only go Bigger, Stronger, Faster. Eve Forever!

There are several novels some of them even good set in the EVE universe. Also lots of short story articles on the official site from the years the game has been out. I think there were serious plans to do a TV series or movie at one point. Who knows?

I was there....all through the campaign in the warzone. When we were Dust....and turned to Dust in the end. I fought many lives, many deaths. I await eagerly the day to upload myself again to a new warclone, in a new frontline, and cause new...Havoc.

Not going to hold my breath on this one. I still remember Dust 514 and the heavy fail it had.
Was a great success merging Console with PC, nearly first in the Cross platform department.
Was playing EVE online at the time and bought the PS3 Dust bundle just to enjoy a out if ship experience.
Was to ge great and much was planed, hence AUR was born.
Time has passed...now they seek to make a PC only shot at the merger again. WE SHALE SEE!
If they go with the concept of armor, modules and weapons being EMPIRE themed again, that would give them such a good opportunity to then release Pirate faction variants, which could really spice things up. As much as i would love to be able to use Trig weapons and armor, trig weapons would probably be either totally broken, or the worst weapons in the game.
Trigs use projectile guns(like Minnies) on the ground.
@@chaotixthefox that would make alot of sense, as it would probably be prohibitively difficult to produce singularities for handheld weapons.
haha, can you imagine your rifle needs to spool up for 20 seconds to destroy an enemy instead of just a shot in the knee? :'D
@@komivalentine3067 yeah, 20s would definitely be a painful experience trying to kill enemies with that, but i figured for a shooter weapon, it might make more sense to be something like 5 sec to get full damage ramp, something like the Prothean Particle Rifle from ME3.

Dust on ps3 was so ahead of the times so I'm happy we're getting another fps! I hope it comes to ps5.

I use to play EVE online, and when Dust 514 dropped, picked up a PlayStation just to play it in preparation for it being connected to Eve online. Was a massive disappointment to me when it did not happen. It being a PlayStation exclusive was a horrible idea. I'm happy the idea has been rebuilt and made available on PC. I think it will have a ton of success considering the current gaming landscape.
I hope the fps stuff gets implemented well

@@SpydersByte Vanguard will affect the new corruption mechanic initially. I'm holding out hope it will eventually be used for capturing sov structures, stations, and planet side pois.

DAMN that's a good trailer! I remember Dust 514, but this seems like they're going the RIGHT direction. It's ballsy to try this again, but if they can get it right, it'll be one hell of an addition to the game and it's universe! Then having an entire joinable Rat faction for Faction Warfare? Be sure and pay VERY close attention to your weapon action, pacing, and AI. Without the right blend, things will feel plastic, railed, and dull.
