  • Psychology professor Jordan B. Peterson argues that the birth control pill is nothing short of a biological revolution with profound consequences for women - and men.

      Well if you look at it in a biological sense then the birth control pill gave "power" to men. An increased power to women is almost always a good thing for men because competition for women becomes stricter. If generally, women's power goes up then men's power must adapt to fit for the change, because women typically (over 90%) only settle down with and mate with men who are equal or greater than them on the dominance hierarchy. The best way to regulate human progress in all forms is to induce competition intentionally or unintentionally. And in my opinion, the birth control unintentionally will be a rise for both sexes.

    The Pill is not the first time femals could have birth control. The ancient Egyptens had cultivated a plant that did something like that. (apparently) It was really popular and if I remember correctly it also made it's way to china. It died out because of shortages and other factors (grew it to extenction).

      of course the Drug companies want women on the pill it`s money to them a regular income, what they don`t say is the old practice of pulling out is almost as effective , so save your health and money and stay natural anyway Dutch people should have more children get the balance right, put materialism behind you it`s a cul de sac

    • @clam1412
      @clam1412 3 роки тому +6

      @@topstar443 its almost as effective if you do it right but the problem is that people don't always do it right and the consequences of that are profound. If you use condoms and the pill you are guaranteed not to end up pregnant but mistakes happen if you are only relying on pulling out. That's not even taking into account pre-cum which im pretty sure can also cause pregnancies, although unlikely I imagine, if you go natural and are having intercourse regularly that can very well happen. If you wanna go natural then the only reliable and truely safe way is going cellubate. Furthermore, pulling out only (partly as I explained in the above) reduces the risk of pregnancies and does not account for all the other adverse consequences that can come from intercourse such as disease (as JP mentioned). Also I don't think people taking birth control is a symptom of their materialistic desires lol.

      @@nicholasramirez7322 it’s also extremely harmful to the environment- poisons streams and other bodies of water. There was a study done not too long ago..they found the pill in every body of water in relatively moderate doses, not minor. Also great with that are antidepressants and some other often prescribed drugs. They can;t be cleaned out if the water. Thus may be the reason why were seeing higher numbers of people stating they are trans (specifically the men to women) because they’ve been exposed to female hormones in the water via women taking ‘the pill’. It gets peed out and can’t been cleaned out and thus goes right back into our water systems. Poisoning all. It’s pure poison. Totally bad for women’s health and everyone everything else.

      don't ruin peterson's reputation by being resentful towards woman purely because you don't understand them due to what appears to be a shackling overblown masculinity. If you knew anything about peterson and his affiliation with Jung, you'd understand how important it is to intergrate the anima. it isn't only women who have wanted to remain in a child-like state, psychology 101 will tell you how intact all our childhood desires remain into adulthood. I don't usually waste my time commenting on videos, but Peterson's comment section is always littered with these offhand, resentful statements that are packed with the exact sort of issues Peterson warns against.

      I am not advocating from the pill, but it seems to me that women are not the only ones that benefit from this...and also that there are consequences that women not only deal with but men too....It seems that there must be a benefit to this despite the disadvantages, no? So, if women didn't use the pill....They would be less likely to have sex....or at least would see a higher risk on doing so, with not so much benefit to them....getting pregnant, having to raise the child...

      It’s odd you should call him a feminine man... more than 100 years ago this is what men were to be. It’s only a recent construct of society that believes in its modern idea of masculinity. Have a look through history as to all the different ideals of either sex within nations and eras. It’s not always been held to the sane standard as today.
