      Yes it does happen, to me at least. I wouldn't know anything about her experiences.
      Sometimes it'll just happen at random.
      I'm an american, but I can do
      This british accent 0:00
      this one 0:07
      French(kinda)
      German(mainly the stereotypical nazi accent)
      Spanish(spain version)
      this irish accent 0:21
      Scottish accent(which ironicly enough, gets thicker when I'm drunk)
      Russian
      and This Ausie accent 1:25
      Plus a good majority of the american accents we have here.
      When ever I start doing it for long periods of time, I have a hard time trying to stop myself from doing it more.
      Believe or not I woke up one morning about a month or so back stuck with my irish accent for about half a day.

    You really captured the part in the transatlantic accent. Not only was the accent flawless, but you also forced yourself to smile extra big, and show all your teeth, which is something entertainers like Frank Sinatra were trained to do in the old days. Classic. I loved this.

      When I first saw this video several years ago and this one was the first Amy Walker video I'd ever seen, I wasn't creeped out. However, it does bring back a feeling. It's the same feeling I get when I'm around theater actors. It's the feeling when you can't tell if the person is actually acting or being sincere in what they are saying. It's a very disconcerting feeling. Watching this video without any background information, it's difficult to know which accent is the real one (if it was even displayed here). Though, I've since seen more of her videos and I think I know her real accent. However, she could still be putting that one on just for her videos.

    I always find it interesting how many people will criticize accents from a particular region or country without realizing that there is no such thing as a specific accent. All people in all areas of the world have variations of their regional dialect. Therefore, as long as you are in the correct vocal range, all criticism is essentially invalid. Most people live within a microcosm of reality, and have little reference beyond that.

    How many accents can you people do that say "Her Italian is off" or "Her Chec is off"
    You know whats really off?? You judgmental fools that can't appreciate a talent when they see it. Most people can't even hear the difference between different Aussie accents (for example) let alone mimic them.
    People these days just have to tear down instead of giving credit when it is due.

      +Ben Harris I know for a fact that I'm listening to pure talent, and I can't help but feel impressed and slightly angry about it. Impressed, of course, because of her skill of mimicking these multiple accents, yet angry because I have been studying this sort of thing for years and so far I'm only able to do the stereotypical radio announcer, and not even a good one.
      The only thing I have left I haven't done is work with a vocal coach, yet with my progress thus far and hearing how amazing she is with many of these, it's both encouraging, and discouraging at the same time since I want to strive to this, yet feel I'll never reach it. I give props to her and hope she has huge success, though that doesn't make me envy her abilities any less.

      +Ben Harris You are right. And not only that, is that in the same city people can have different accents depending on education, socioeconomic status, etc. This is even more true with foreign accents, some foreigners can pick accents better than others so saying that she does not sound like a russian speaking English is absurd as some russians will have more or less accents than others. It only seems that way because of Hollywood. If you went to any other country, people would be drawn to you. I'm a Filipino Canadian, and when I go to Phillipines, they are amazed that I can speak english so well.

    I've lived in LA my whole life, and her Californian accent is pretty ok, but when she says 25, you can tell she isn't from here. Lol

    • @melissafrancine3832
      @melissafrancine3832 9 років тому

      Sameeee it's very valley talk or ghetto well, varies. Also I noticed that too her 25 was more like another accent tried slipping through so totally agree with you on that. Not very California.

    • @edg6762
      @edg6762 9 років тому +1

      I can only comment on her Brooklyn, but the way she said five like "foiv" made her sound more Australian. That feature isn't exagerrated to such a degree in Brooklyn. If I had to place the way she said "five" like "foiv", it would be more Philly and even more exagerrated than Sean Monahan's Philly for that matter (which he admits is comically exagerrated).

      +Edouard Garça I panned down just for this. As far as I could tell, she nailed every accent....with the exception of Brooklyn. It just wasn't on the money at all. However, I am certain with another take she would be very convincing. Just not that take.

      Okay- I'm from New Zealand, and we sound nowhere near like the English or Australians- English tend to bland out their words, whereas Australians sharpen their's example: Australia change their "i" into an "e" in England they practically pronounce every letter in their words. In New Zealand- we have a much more bland way of pronouncing our words- for example: we sometimes silent out the "i" and we also have a deeper way of pronouncing things. Hope this helps. :)

      hahah this type of brainless comment appears in EVERY single video, no matter what it's about. Take your time and read what you said, for one it's not a very original statement, people just repeat it without thinking.
      There's no logic to it. It's like me telling you "Oh, you don't like this movie? Well then go and make a better one. That's right, shut up" Where's the logic there? You can't criticize just cuz you're not in the same league as the director who made the movie? You're not 11 years old, I can tell from your photo, so don't talk like one. It's an age old nonsensical immature thing to say, grow up.

      Because of the level of stupidity, lots can be said about it. It's a phrase many people say without thinking or fully knowing what it actually means and its massive nonsensical content. Btw my comment about her stupid statement didn't get 2 thumbs up for nothing.
      Not to mention, I wasn't arguing, I was pointing out her fallacies and stupidities. But you're obviously a simpleton with a simple mind who can't tell the difference.
      And by the way, that comment is almost 2 months old. You just fell flat on your face now, didn't ya? Dumb PRICK ;). Who is arguing here but he who comes to reply on a comment that was made 2 months ago? Rethink your life.

    Wow! It's finally happened! I've finally seen somebody who can do more accents than I can! You sure SO CRAZY GOOD! I've always had a tough time trying to talk with an accent from around Fargo N.Dakota. there is something so fun about the way they talk there. You know, the "Ok sure. You betchya". The way the actors talk in movie DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, is so funny. I can do a few words but that's all. You are VERY good my dear. I liked your UK accents the best!
