@@danc893 Stereotypical, sure but not unheard of. She isn't quite there but there's definitely plenty of Aussies with the accent she's attempting to replicate. As a french person, i can say that she completely nailed it! It is really difficult to pronounce the "r" correctly as english speakers are not familiar with this pronunciation, and she did it perfectly!
Agreed! She did a really good job!
Guess it pretty hard for any french person to properly pronounce "r's" though :)

Idk if thats how fractions work
Ya I’m sorry to be that person but those would be thirds 😂
If you’re related to someone from somewhere else it doesn’t mean you automatically have the accent lmao 😂
You've pretty much got the rhythm and "A" sounds for the Aussie accents. A few drinks usually helps with the rest but the timing of the pauses in your sentences was spot-on!
It’s brilliant lmao 😂
Ehh it's a very stereotypical accent, although for that stereotypical accent you're right the A's are very good lol, not sure about the rest tho
(Clarification: this is coming from an Australian)
Lol
@@danc893 Stereotypical, sure but not unheard of. She isn't quite there but there's definitely plenty of Aussies with the accent she's attempting to replicate. If anything, the Irwinesque accent is the common stereotype internationally, the first attempt feels like a hybrid of a few common Aussie accents which I guess fits under her "general" label. Kinda like how our default for US is California because it's more known here.
@@Keopro it's a very uncommon accent, it's more of a regional accent e.g. south australia and queensland which have much smaller populations than Victoria and New South Whales. So sure, it's not unheard of... But it really isn't a general Australian accent.

Aussie what you did there 👏
the reason many "British" accents sound so wrong when people from outside the uk do them is because they mash together a jumbled mess of accents from across the country, so I'm really glad Kris made that distinction between regions. Scotland gets it the worst since media like braveheart perpetuated many stereotypes such as the blue warpaint which is around 1000 years out.

That California "vocal strain" is called "vocal fry" in linguistics. A fitting name because it fries your voice

Vocal fry is not harmful. It's totally fine to use (from a health perspective) when talking/singing.
