My grandfather ate eggs, lots of eggs and lots of sardines. He lived to be 99 years old, and I think the only reason he passed away was because my grandmother passed away and he was very very, down and sad after that happened...
Same with my grandpa, ate eggs all the time and lots of sardines. Sometimes sardines with his eggs for breakfast. He lived to be 92 but he smoked for many years. (Tobacco). He quit when he was 70 on the advice of his doc. We always said if he didn’t smoke all those years, he probably would’ve made 100.
@@PaulBengtsson he also had a sweet tooth. I think( I can't say for shure ) that his pleasure for sweets and eggs ( especially his favorite omelette) combined with smoking was his downfall.

We feed our chickens crickets and worms that we order online. We also feed them cabbage and lentils that we sprout before we give it to them. We also plant herbs and flowers that are good for chicken health that they also eat. We want healthy, happy chickens. They are beautiful and healthy.
When a food is as nutritious and cheap as eggs they are going to go after it in every way possible . Eggs puts them out of business. Wake up people it’s so obvious.
Who told you eggs are nutritious. They don't have much nutrition except for vitamin K. Only the Egg marketing boards keep putting out the false information about eggs. It is against the law to advertise eggs as nutritious because they aren't. They have nutrition yes but very little. A small teaspoon size piece of chicken or a chicken nugget has more than an egg and chicken meat is not loaded with cholesterol. Where do you get the idea that things are obvious and people should wake up ? Totally absurd and you might as well get a job at an egg corporation as a salesman.
Same here, 64 eggs every day for 30 years. Actually moved from 2-3 eggs per day. No mess, almost never sick about same weight all my life. Almost never sick, most people don't believe my age.
My 81-year-old Hubby just got his labs back yesterday. Total Chol 261, Triglycerides 127, HDL 41, VLDL 23, LDL 197. His A1C was 5.8 and glucose was 93. His cholesterol has been the same for over 20 years. He tried statins over the years but had too many side effects. We now eat 3 eggs every day and we are trying to eat a more low carb. I have also started him on Fish oil and Nattokinase.
I eat 26 eggs a week for 10 months now, no carbs or sugar,no seed oils whole foods only. Total cholesterol 272 , ldl 172 , hdl 59 , triglycerides 68. Don't fear eggs😊
Good blood work, average doctor would say your cholesterol is high, but look at your triglycerides are excellent. Now is very important to do an HOMA-ir just to be on the right track.
Your blood levels don't affect other people who have different genes. In general eggs are very bad for people. Some people are not affected so one person's blood work is meaningless. You need to look at 1000 people. So you shouldn't make statements about eggs and encourage others to eat eggs based on your blood work.

LDL is found in arterial plaque but not the cause. White blood cells are also found in arterial plaque but nobody suggests inhibiting them with a drug. It is oxidative stress that damages your vascular system.

It was nonsense 30-40 years ago and most people knew it, it's amazing people are still going on about this today. Even as a kid I recognized media fearmongering.
My in laws started giving me eggs from their neighbours (who were farmers). Great, free eggs! I asks why they were giving them away, they said "We are eating too many eggs". I asked them what the problem was... they didn't know, just "eggs are bad". I asked if it was, maybe...cholesterol? "Oh yes, that is it, cholesterol!". They couldn't even remember the reason, they were just certain from years and years of medical misinformation that "eggs are bad".
GP's have been educated by the universities that get funding from Pharmaceutical companies. They teach Medicine not health. They are not intentionally doing harm but their education is flawed by a corrupt system designed to sell more medicines.
Population and observational studies can not distinguish between causation and correlation. Double blind, randomized, placebo controlled, studies are the gold standard, but even these are routinely designed to arrive at a predetermined conclusion. The first, and most important, question to ask about ANY study is "who's funding it".

These were wonderful findings. I've been eating 3 eggs at least 2 to 3 x a week for 75 years . I raise my own chickens and they are loose on 10 acres of pasture. I've never been on any meds but iron.
Yes they are bad and your grandmother did not do studies on 1000 people. Some people can eat eggs because we all have different genes. Most people will be very unhealthy if they eat more than one egg a week. I have not touched egg yolks since 1970 and don't plan on it until they get the cholesterol out. I eat egg Mcmuffins at McDonalds but I open the sandwich and take out the yolk. Don't forget , you only get 1/4 of your genes from your grandmother , so I would go for blood tests , LDL and not trust your grandmothers dietary recommendations.
Three years ago I had a stent placed in my heart. Since then I have given up sugar, and eat a no-starch low-carb diet. I only eat pasture-raised eggs cooked in ghee. At 67 I am healthier than I was at 50.

We once thought that my grandmother's heart disease was caused by her eating eggs. But we didn't understand the link between Type 2 Diabetes and heart disease. Turns out that her metabolic syndrome was a much greater factor in her having heart disease than was any cholesterol she consumed.
Dad is 97 and eats eggs every single day . I’ve begun to add oysters and sardines 10 years ago. Arterioscleroses is caused by calcium supplements and PPI taken 20 years ago. He had 5 stents placed 10 years ago but that was when we knew nothing about diabetes and metabolic syndrome or digestion . If he eats blueberries and beans, he gets the same chest pain he got 10 years ago when the ER said he was having a heart attack. He wasn’t. It was gas but they did stents anyway.
I guess the cardiologist didn’t show you or your dad the images of the narrowed arteries caused by blockage. A stent is not put in unless near total blockage is seen in images of the arteries. Those stents saved and prolonged your dad’s life. But, by all means, keep eggs in the diet!
@@LydiaSings If the heart was 97% blocked , a human would not get sufficient blood flow . If those small areas are in the heart getting stents because they are blocked, why aren’t stents put into other areas of the arteries . The heart is not the only place where those arteries are located . What about the rest of the body? I asked a doctor and showed him my dads markers and health issues and it was gas. The same pain was happening for many years after the stents. It was only have fixing his intestinal and digestion function and finding how best to feed my dad , and how he can eat the beans and blueberries without having the residual effects of abdominal pain that those pains have not returned . Its the elasticity and stretching ability of the vasculature that allows the blood to flow and arteries widen without having stiffness.
Hi guys, I have been eating eggs cooked all the ways you mentioned. I do eat eggs the following, take a sauce pan put about 1 cup of water, a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive , some parsley, oregano, garlic, salt & pepper to your liking. Bring to a boil crack, open 3 to 4 eggs into the boiling water for about 3-4 minutes. Scoop out the eggs into bowl, add some of the boiled broth. Enjoy. I learned this from my farther 60 years ago. He was a merchant seaman and cooked his eggs this way aboard ship .
I agree that I THINK they are trying to find an issue with eggs. They keep trying various conditions and changing up parameters in hopes of that one situation where eggs caused a negative result. I have one hard boiled egg every morning and it seems to stay with me for awhile. My daughter is a nurse so up very early and I've told her to just keep a bowl of these in the fridge and grab a couple on the way out. She actually listened to me (for a change).
Dr. Berry showed how the study leading to the USDA "Food Compass" had undisclosed funding, found cereals, even sugary ones were healthier than beef and eggs and how the top choices were Post and Kelloggs products.
15 years ago, I weighed 283 pounds at 5'6" with a 48" waist. I went on a law carb diet (I designed myself) and my doctor asked if he could do blood workups on me, 3 months in, 6 months in and 9 months in. I agreed. My bad cholesterol went down, my good cholesterol went up, my triglycerides balanced out, my circulation improved, my memory improved, my eyesight improved (not much but my next eye exam the prescription was reduced), my sleeping cycles went from 4 hours to 7 hours and my energy and stamina went through the roof. I lost down to 198 pounds and a 36" waist. The last blood test my Doctor asked if he could bring five (5) other Doctors to talk with me at my next visit. They all were looking over my three blood test results and asked me questions for a few minutes. One was, "What exactly do you eat, please give us meal examples." I told them; breakfast examples, 3 to 5 eggs with several porkchops battered in crushed pork rinds and pan friend in butter, half pound beef sausage patty with 4 or 5 eggs. Lunch examples, 6 to 7 pieces of pork rind battered fried chicken fried in lard, 2 cups of coleslaw, 1/2 cup baked beans or a 1/2-pound steak with a 10" plate of salad with ham and cheese with mixed ranch and blue cheese dressing. Dinner examples, 1/2 pound of meatloaf, 1/4 cup refrigerated potato salad, sautéed French Green Beans and thinly sliced beefsteak with a cheese beef gravy over a bed of mashed cauliflower. For snacks I eat 3 to 5 boiled eggs and 2 cups of mixed nuts a day. If I wake up hungry in the middle of the night, I might eat some cold left-over fried chicken or fried porkchops or just slice some ham and eat until I am not hungry They said my diet should be killing me instead of making me healthier. They all asked me to never tell any of their patients what my diet is. I am 58 in a few months as of today. I am quite sure I feel as good as I do because of eating way less carbohydrates and only eating healthy carbs when I eat them. If I go off my Low Carb diet, it is to do a Low-Calorie Diet so I can get some fruits into my system as I prefer to eat specific fruits a few times a year. Watermelon Cantaloupe Honey Dew Melon Strawberries Apples *Pears *Cherries *Peaches *Blueberries *Pineapple Carrots & Carrot Juice There are specific reasons I do this, and it is to get benefits from them I cannot get from supplements. * These I eat if I get sick... every time, until I am over the cold. That combo makes me A-Symptomatic. 1/2 cup twice a day. I tend to try to stay away from anything that has added Aluminum, Phosphorus or Nitrites, Nitrates, Sulfur or Potassium. I will make an exception if it has only one of those and it is in the lower list of ingredients. My carbohydrate mark is 35 carbs a day and I will still lose weight. Not 35 carbs in a meal, it is about 10 to 12 carbs per meal. Everyone's carb balancing mark is not the same, my wife's is 8 carbohydrates, and she starts losing weight. So, for here it is 2 to 3 carbs er meal and she will start to lose weight. edit to add for readers who think they know. Calcium going into the lining of the arteries causes Hardening of the Arteries. Not eating meat or beans. Vit D3, Vit K2, Magnesium, Vit E, Omega 3, Garlic oil will all lower BP and (D3) kick the Calcium out of the Artery Tissues and (K2) send it into the bones, where it is supposed to be. Maintain a 7.4 pH balance of the Blood Plasma and adding those supplements will do a world of difference... and cutting back on so many carbohydrates. The danger is mixing high carb intake into the diet with a high fats and high protein diet. The best diet I ever fund was high Fiber, High Fats, high Protein and avoid added Phosphorus, added Sulfur, added Potassium foods. Natural sources of those are fine for me, but added things tend to not be what is best for the body. Some people say, "If I can find it in the woods, I will eat it. If I cannot find it in the woods, I will not eat it." I also do Monk Breathing and Humming aka Bhramari Pranayama, or Bee Breath. They do this all over the world but mostly in China, Tibet and India I do not practice their religions; I regiment humming and breathing routines. Research the benefits of them. Research, don't just try it, do it correctly and with sound advice from your chosen practitioner. For some reason people read those meals above and think I get no vegetables. I can eat as much of green vegetables as I want all day long. Greenbean, Leafy Greens, Broccoli, Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Lettuce (5 to 7 varieties), squash, cucumbers and others. Yellow veggies tend to also be lower in carbohydrates than red vegetables, so I can have Yellow Tomatoes, fried green tomatoes. White Specialty Strawberries are lower in carbohydrates than Red Strawberries and even Red Strawberries are not high carbohydrate until they are super ripe. My meatloaf recipe is 1-pound Organic pasture raised (no grains) ground beef, 1-pound ground Lamb, Organic yellow, green and red bell peppers, onions, garlic, Himalayan salt, a little Organic chili powder, low sodium taco seasoning, Organic stevia, Organic catsup, Organic mustard, 2-3 Tbls. Organic Coconut Flour,2-3 Tbls. Organic Blanched Almond Flour and 1-2 Organic eggs. You see I discovered for every 3.5 grams of fat, it slows 1 carbohydrate to be absorbed over time. This is the ratio that works for me. So, 21 grams of fat is about minus - 6 carbs. This means my Meatloaf is Zeo (0) carbohydrates per serving even though it has three different bell peppers and onion. Sometimes I use Cubanelle Peppers or Sweet Banan Pepper also. I had to edit as for some reason I replied to everyone, but the replies are deleted.

In his nineties he could throw 80lb bags of cement around like a thirty year old, and he also was a marathon runner until has late eighties. I’m not sure if it was the eggs, or his passion for clean mountain water and aged beef that may have helped, but one thing is for sure, he never drank a drop of alcohol as he had once read that alcohol was defined as “an accumulative cellular poison”. He was large, he lived large, but he was a great, kind and gentle man. Go eggs!

I quit eating eggs because I graduated from Carnivore to Lion. The only ingredients I eat now are Lamb, Beef, Salt, and Water. Pasture raised eggs are the best, cage free are iffy at best.
A few years ago, I went to a doctor who stated that I was eating too many eggs. At the time eggs were not my favorite item and I told him I was eating about a dozen eggs a year. This didn't seem to register with him at all.
I missed the live stream but I wanted to point out that "cage free eggs" aren't really better than regular eggs. All it means is that the chickens have a theoretical way to go outside. In reality thousands of them will be caged in a warehouse with in most cases a single doggie door to a small fenced in area. I think what Doctor Brewer meant was pasture raised eggs where the chickens must be outside in the daytime. Unfortunately cage free eggs are usually only 50 cents more than regular eggs but pasture raised eggs are two to three times the price of regular eggs. Where I live cage free eggs are $2.49 but pasture raised are $8.99 to $9.99.

Great video, I'm subscribed to most of the You-Tubers you showed in the intro! I appreciated the actual studies. The one thing that seemed unclear was the answer to Yuan's comment regarding pasture raised vs free range vs cage free. Dr. Vega's description of a chicken eating bugs and grass would be a "pasture raised" egg. Free range does not necessarily guarantee chickens much time or space outside. The term "Pasture raised" is not interchangeable with "free range" as far as the labeling when buying eggs at the store.
Pasture raised is best but can be hard to find and or expensive. Personally I eat 3 poached eggs 🥚 from egglands best every morning. However I have heard of another guy who eats 6 boiled eggs a day without issue.
When it comes to eggs there’s no straight answer. But the fact that you now have to declare your live chickens to the government here in France says it’s probably good to eat eggs.
In China, during the difficult times of the Cultural Revolution, people actually kept chickens in their flat to get eggs to supplement their poor govt. rations. They gave them food scraps.
After struggling with diabetes for over 12 years I stopped eating store bought food and mostly live off of farm fresh eggs. Now I can finally control my diabetes and think I am reversing every thing

Hey, egg does increase cholesterol in those people who have high cholesterol levels like me. 8 months back my Cholesterol levels were total 228 and I started eating 3 eggs per day. Moderate 30mins walks 3 days a week. 1 month back results after eating eggs is as below. Total Cholesterol - 280 HDL Cholesterol - 44 LDL Cholesterol - 208 Triglycerides - 134 I don't take any meds at present but my doctors has told me to atleast take Crestor 5mg and control food and do exercise. But I refused to take the pill and now the Cholesterol had come up to 280. What u guys think ??
Thank you for sharing. An HDL of 44 is too low. A TG/HDL ratio of 3 (134/44) is not great either. Anybody with those numbers should be aware of the risk of prediabetes & should consider an OGTT, Insulin Response (Kraft Insulin Survey). They should also consider a cholesterol (lipid) fractionation or NMR. Finally, unless TG/HDL is < 1, an LDL >180 usually means extra risk. All these things are red flags for carb metabolism problems. I’d call 859-721-1244 & set up an appointment. You’re not likely to get that expertise anywhere else.
It was a combination of introducing 3 eggs for my breakfast as well as consuming more read meat the last 8 months that has made my cholesterol levels jump from 5.3 to 7.7. My triglycerides are low at 0.5mmol/L, and my HDL - C is 1.7mmol/L and my LDL - C is 5.8mmol/L. Doctor was talking about statins and I politely stated no thank you.
I ate 3 eggs a day ,thats my first meal after my 14-15 hrs of I.F..low carbs and and ate a lot of greens supported my body with vit. Mg Glycinate,B (1,6,12) plus D2 k3...my sugar before reaches to 300mg/dL,bp 160/100,trigly 300 ,choles LDL 450 ..now it is all normal...no more pills at all. And yes every otherday of brisk walking..
To me, it is so shockingly cruel to enclose a hen in a tiny age or a sunless barn is just not acceptable. Surelly you can see this regardless of whether or no those eggs are of the same composition!
I really hope to get a response here. I had high cholesterol a year ago. My cholesterol was 400. I was eating 12 eggs per day 10 to 12 yolks. I was on keto so the only food I ate was eggs, sirloin and chicken. After getting my blood work. The doctor said I need to cut out eggs. I cut down the eggs to 6 for 3 months and my cholesterol dropped to 300. I then dropped it to 1 yolk a day and my cholesterol dropped to 147. This is so frustrating to hear that eggs have no bearing on our cholesterol when I put it to the actual test with my body. Someone please help. I'm at a complete loss. It's my job to help people with nutrition but I'm at a point where I have no idea what's healthy anymore. Eggs definitely raised my total cholesterol. My doctor thought some of my cholesterol was genetic at first. He now is very confused too because he is an alternative medicine doctor who helps with diet. Even he doesn't know what the right foods for me are. He says have just a couple eggs a week and eat lean meats with low saturated fat. Since I've cut down to 1 yolk per day, I'm maintaining my cholesterol at 145 to 147. Someone please help. This is extremely frustrating. Who's lying??
15 eggs a day is what I was consuming back between 1982-1984, as a former Olympic weightlifter for Australia. My cholesterol was dangerously low (or below normal). Moral of the story, eggs don’t kill you, I’ll be 60 next year.
I'm getting to the point when I hear the words: a new study says...I close my eyes and ears. Speaking of such, I just saw a new study on fish oils so I read it thinking oh, they are going to confirm the benefits of omega 3 when to my utter shock and surprise it was bad news---taking fish oil leads to greater heart attack risk!!! What!??
Honestly, I work in the medical field and am nearing retirement and cannot wait. All these guys do is guess just like the rest of us. Just because they do studies and have MDs or whatever, does not mean that they know what they are talking about. Very frustrating. By the way, I have taken Fish oil nightly for 45 years and would never stop. No meds, 64, no problems, mostly carnivore, but not all the time. I eat sweets when I want, but am active. I stay away from fruits and vegetables, but enjoy coffee. Stick to what you feel inside you is best, don't listen to all the clowns out there who think they know the best way!
Not pasteurized but pastured. Meaning the chickens roam outdoors and find insects, seeds, etc to eat. Cage free can technically mean their cages are open but they can still be fed a grain and soy diet. I stick with the pasture raised.
He probably meant pasture raised vs cage free because pasture raised eggs supposedly allow the chickens to graze and eat whatever insects they can find in addition to their feed and those that are cage free just means they left the barn door open and the chickens get to see the outside through a screen. Pasteurized eggs do not differ in nutrition.
@@hennypenny338 Yes, you are probably correct. The comment caused me to look into pasteurized eggs and I learned that its done via 2 methods. One uses RF frequencies which slightly heats the yolk only for a few minutes and the other is a 130 degree water bath for about an hour. I never bought any but if a supermarket does carry them, they are usually $2 per dozen more expensive according to the article.

Who told you eggs are nutritious. They don't have much nutrition except for vitamin K. Only the Egg marketing boards keep putting out the false information about eggs.

My diet was harder, it was greatly reducing Advanced Glycation End-products. I have lost 60 lb, but not due to the diet. Just slowly eating less. Only yesterday told a friend that easy weight loss must have been eggs as only part of diet changed. In his nineties he could throw 80lb bags of cement around like a thirty year old, and he also was a marathon runner until has late eighties.

I really hope to get a response here. I had high cholesterol a year ago. My cholesterol was 400. I was eating 12 eggs per day 10 to 12 yolks. Wow my buddy said I shouldn’t eat caged free eggs only pasteurized. Your saying caged free is just fine?
Not pasteurized but pastured. Meaning the chickens roam outdoors and find insects, seeds, etc to eat. Cage free can technically mean their cages are open but they can still be fed a grain and soy diet. I stick with the pasture raised.
@@robmcguckin7605 His buddy might have said pastured but most people hear it as pasteurized since they are familiar with that word.
