Brown Butter Blondies
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 тра 2024
- While very similar to brownies, blondies are made from brown sugar and feature white chocolate chips. These brown butter blondies are especially flavorful because of the addition of the brown butter. It does take a bit of extra time on the stove, but the result is well worth it!

0:21 Talking about brown butter
1:13 Adding the wet ingredients
3:21 Adding the dry ingredients
5:26 Putting the blondies in the pan
6:45 Slicing and trying the blondies
INGREDIENTS
- 12 tbsp butter, browned
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. The butter will foam, but continue to cook until the foaming lessens, 4-5 minutes. Once the foaming quiets down, cook the butter until specks of golden brown amass in the butter and it smells toasty, 3-4 minutes. Remove the butter from the heat and cool for 10 minutes.
- Once the butter has cooled, combine with the brown sugar and whisk. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth. Add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold together until mostly combined with a few dry streaks remaining. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Evenly spread the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey when inserted with a skewer, 35-40 minutes.
- Remove the blondies from the oven and cool for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Those puppies need some toasted pecans for absolute perfection. Also, every time I watch you preparing cake or cookie batters, I always wish you had a Danish pastry whisk for quick and easy mixing. They are life changers.
Made these with milk chocolate chips (milk chocolate is the white chocolate of actual chocolate) and they were divine. And yes it smelled amazing.
Looks amazing!
You should make a pecan upside down cake. It’s so good! I occasionally make one for friends and family.
One of my favorite ways to use browned butter is in frosting for cinnamon rolls. Nice and thick/gooey frosting...😋
Looks yummy can't wait to try! Thanks!
I kind of want to try these with butterscotch morsels.
Oh I love your recipes! I love your channel!!
Yup, we are hibernating in Iowa. Yummmm, beautiful, my mouth is watering!

Tempting! I have some butterscotch chips to try these blondies
Thanks for the recipe! I am excited to make these with my granddaughter.
Delicious .

Sometimes simple recipes are just the best, and your blondie recipe is no exception! I haven't made blondies since high school, but I'm going to make some this week! Thanks for the inspiration, Kaleb.
I already love these blondies. Thank you for the awesome recipe. I can't wait to make them... God Bless....
Your brown butter chocolate chip cookies are delicious. So I MUST try these! 😋
From Canada, love all of your videos. Your property, and especially your kitchen are gorgeous. I appreciate how you don't touch the flour with your hands when evening it out of the measuring cup.
One of my Mom’s recipes. Always a go to when I’m craving something sweet! Tastes great with walnuts! Always have the ingredients to make a fast treat.
I made these and they are absolutely delicious 😋 ❤thanks for sharing!
Hi Kaleb, you are so right about browned butter and the over-the-top flavor it adds to a recipe. I have never made blondies before but will be giving them a try. You have a very wonderful week. Stay safe and stay well.
I've never tried these. Guess what I'm making tomorrow!! Looks easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Can't wait!!!
This looks so good! It’s the first recipe for a blondie I’ve found that actually looks like a no chocolate brownie instead of a cookie bar. Thank you!!
Love it🤤❤💕
Gottah try these...
I make homemade vanilla extract, too. Nothing compares.
Love you thank you
Just put mine in the oven!! Used regular chocolate chips because I didn’t have any white ones on hand.. I can’t wait to try one 😁
Good idea for oven tonight!
I'm currently baking for the first time blondes, my house smells amazing..what took me so long? Lolol thank you for sharing and pressing to try it
Best blondies recipe made them today delicious 5 stars …. Enjoy watching your videos….
This brownie must be delicious.
My Grandmother turned me on to browned butter 🧈 the best!
Me gustó.
Yum!!!
Yes! I’m going to try these, maybe with peanut butter chips. I love browned butter. Especially on rice.
rice? sounds fab.
Yum yum yum 😋
I'm going to make these today! I love blondies, and I love browned butter. I make my own ghee every few weeks and I take mine to the browned level. Because I am lactose intolerant, I have to remove the browned bits and the white solids that float to the top. It leaves me with pure liquid gold. Thank you for an excellent video presentation. Great job!
Update: The Blondies came out delicious! Very chewy, perfectly gooey, and I will be making these again.
Did you use the recipe as written? 1/2 tbsp of butter?
Hello from Bangalore, India. I have so far baked only “brown”brownies...never knew about “blondies ”. (Kind of unfortunate nomenclature I think😀)..
Would love to try these with your recipe. BTW the “brown butter” that your are so raving about, seems like ghee to me. It is also called clarified butter. This is the favourite fat used in almost all Indian cooking, and in the sub continent in fact.
Ghee is indeed more flavourful and lends both a fragrance and crispness in baking. It is possible to infuse subtle flavours into ghee by adding for example couple of cloves or a small stick of cinnamon to the butter after it melts. We add some local herbs too.
Anyway your recipe looks easy and the result very tempting. Thank you for the video.
I love blondies! My Mom used to make them for me (without the white chips) because I’m allergic to chocolate. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for sharing this recipe! 😋
Can I use less sugar? Would it make a difference in texture? TIA
They look so good! What nut would you suggest to add and would you toast nuts before adding? Thank you for all your great recipes and stories!
I've used both peanuts and pecans. They are both yummy...I always toast nuts when baking
I would do toasted hazelnuts, I imagine it would have a yummy praline flavor because of the caramel notes in the blondies
Hi where can I purchase the teapot you have on your cooktop and what is it called? My husband loves it so I want to get one for our anniversary coming up in April? Thank you!
i have a question are their any desserts or Treats that can be made in a air fryer or air cooker? i dont have a oven i do have a air fry or air cooker so i was just wondering if their are any Desserts or treats that could be made in one :)
I have a question. You talked about measuring flour. Why don't you sift the flour?
Can you give the measurements in grams plz?
Kaleb, this is probably a dumb question, but what is the difference between caramel and butterscotch? I adore caramel but not butterscotch and have never really understood the difference. 🤔
Caramel is granulated sugar and butterscotch is brown sugar.
@@melodynakamura4028 Ahhh, thanks! Good to know! ☺️👍
Recipe says 1/2 Tbsp of butter, is this correct or is it a typo?
Whats problem with black?
Butterscotch chips for me, white chocolate is just too sweet.
I wonder if I could make them gluten free??
Use almond flour
I think with all purpose gluten free flour will make it even more gooey 🤔. I'm going to try it, and I'm going to use 1/2 cup rice flour with gluten free flour too
Could you add cranberries to this?
Where did you get the cute little egg holder?
I want one too 😆
Looks vintage, try eBay
@@phillipsmom6252 yeah he uses a lot of his family heirlooms and thrift finds.
yum, and no, no, no-always dark chocolate and nuts in my blondies! #differentstrokes
Share my foot!!!!! Those will b MINE!!!! Lol.
Where are the measurements 😮
New viewer here. You’re not telling how much of the ingredients. The recipe? I’ve never seen a cooking channel that doesn’t give the recipe.
Hi Shelia! The full recipe is in the description of the video and here: www.wyseguide.com/brown-butter-blondies/ Rather than have you write down the amounts as I say them, it makes more sense to put them in text form for viewers to reference later. Enjoy!
