    Cylinder 6. Somehow it's common on the 5.3s for that one to go. I've got a 5.3 with a hairline crack on 6. I have a 6.0 I'm going to swap in the truck.

      @@MattsShop According to an Older gentleman that used to be a mechanic for GM, they had a bunch of 5.3s that they honed the cylinder wall too close to the edge and they would eventually crack over time. 😭

    If this was in India..they would have recast that hole in the block...welded the rod..and had it back on the road..same day!! Lol

    look for a 6.0 and the heads you removed are great fo rother apps and they sell good

    We've got a nice motor for you at UA-cam BrainDamageBBQ. It's a pretty nice motor we pulled from Joel's food truck, and we now use it as a prep table. So is it a small-block or a big-block? There are both in the garage as we cook!
