  • The cheap Cadillac Escalade engine swap is one of the most requested videos I've ever had. Everyday there are comments asking when it will be back, and here it is. We had to setup a new shop just to get this knocked out, all new lighting, tools, tool boxes... a lot had to happen to make this happen and now we're ready! The cheap 2011 Cadillac Escalade and its new L94 engine are ready to go, all that's left to do is take out some bolts and put them back in.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    Common Questions:
What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make UA-cam videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?
    Instagram: WatchJRGo
Facebook: WatchJRGo (or JRGo, FB hates my branding)
Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

40-50psi oil pressure on cold startup is pretty normal on those engines. I have an 07 Avalanche that has 40-50psi oil pressure on cold startup. A lot of people on the Avalanche/Escalade forums report the same numbers.

It took me 3 days, no lift just jack stands multiple floor jacks and a cum a long ratchet connected to the garage rafters. After all that, the transmission still had a bad 3rd gear. There is almost 0 reason for that to happen. The salvage yard engine should have run for some time to check it before they pulled it. If they were unable to run it, they should have given a disclaimer.
I got 1 bad engine in all the years of swapping used engines. It had a dead/o compression on 1 of the cylinders. They said it ran perfectly when pulled, but sat on the shelf for some time. Not happy on that one.
