Your videos have helped me ❤ along with my therapist. My ex partner came back after 40 days of no contact. He showed up at my mom's door unexpectedly. We lived here together, renting from my moms, for 2 years. He was expecting a new driver's license as well but his paper ID was valid until mid July. I left him with my mom since he asked for her and because I had to go to work. I was also in shock and rushed to leave as I was feeling emotional. Before he moved out, I had told him to call her before getting his mail which he didn't do. After I left them, my mom said he went down to my apartment to look for me and stayed there for a while. She assumed I was home when he didn't come up. Before leaving, he said to her that he missed our home, which was shocking since his move was rushed and chaotic. Btw, both he and I lost our dad's in the last 2 years and grief took a big toll on us and lead to awful fights. His dad died of cancer and he couldn't go back to bury him until he got his citizenship approval in March. I realized the day he came had some significance. His dad died last year on that date. I decided to break no contact by messaging him to say I prayed for his dad which his family was doing back home. He didn't reply and it did feel disappointing. I am back in no contact and will only communicate if he contacts me directly. I was very clear when he left that I'd give him 60 days to come back as long as he agreed to therapy and a few other conditions. Not sure if this was indirect direct or what is next. He's still my companion 😊 and I feel we are good support for each other overall.

Now that everything is fine and she doesn’t even cross my mind, guess what ? she contacted me today after 7 months of no contact . Asking to barrow money !! How pathetic.. Feeling extremely weak in no contact, it's just week two🥴 What keeps me strong is I know by not breaking no contact I'm respecting his need for space! Missing his phone calls! I hope to have one soon though❤
By not breaking the no contact you are not respecting his need for space rather you are keeping up your self respect which is the most important thing in any relationship. Rather then thinking about you EX or about it all the time just move on with life as you have many good things to do in life. Pay attention to yourself take good care of yourself join a gym go to the spa. Change yourself an the way you live. Make yourself feel good about yourself. Your EX or the person you love isn't the only person in the world so life won't end even if he don't message or don't get back to you. Just be happy an move on with your life. If he gets back to you then it'll be your decision to take him back in your life or no. And if he dosent come back to you then you have your own beautiful life ahead which you need to work on. I hope someday to be a success story. Almost 8 weeks post break up and the only thing she's done is unfriended me on Facebook last week (though she hasn't actually blocked me). That really hurt, almost as bad as the break up believe it or not. I was posting comments on one of those poetry Facebook sites about missing her and hoping we'll meet again someday (I thought she wouldn't see them because I didn't repost those on my timeline, but it was right after that she unfriended me). I feel like my chances are pretty slim. Her mom also unfriended me that day, though her sister and a few of her friends remain on my friends list for the moment. I won't be posting anymore comments about it needless to say. It probably set my NC back if she did see it (though I have not attempted to contact her directly). I do post about what I'm doing from time to time, but keep it low key like Coach Craig says basically. Not going crazy. In the meantime I started therapy, I'm doing the workbooks, watching the videos, joined a martial arts class (which I hope will help me with confidence) and volunteer at the SPCA. It's hard staying motivated I'll admit. 8 weeks and it still hurts. But I know I got to keep working. If by some miracle my ex ever does contact me again, which I suspect won't be for a while, I don't want to tell her how much I've changed. I want her to see it and know I'm no longer the needy, clingy, anxious guy she left. And I guess there's no rush anyway. It's not like I'll be ready to date anyone else for a long time anyway. I won't date anyone while I still am hung up on my ex. I got stupid one night and created a dating profile of Facebook dating, but I took it down within a few days realizing no way in hell am I ready to date again. One thing I try to remember with the legit coaches I watch, Craig and his team, Lee, and Rory...and that is I have time, and to use that time wisely, working on myself. And I hope and pray that one day, when I'm ready, our paths will cross again. How I miss her though :(
My friend you have better things in life to do rather then just wondering of your EX would come back. The world is a big place an there are many other good girls around. Make sure in this no contact you work on youself not for your ex but for youself. Go to the gym or get youself engage in any activity that makes you feel good. Don't even think of contacting your ex upfront untill an unless it was your mistake due to which you broke up. I know it's difficult to hold back but that's what you have to do which would make you strong enough to overcome this phase. An trust me as time shall pass by you won't feel much need of your ex to come back in your life. If your ex have left you then please allow then to move on gracefully.
I’m so proud of you to realize that you’re not ready to date yet. Take as much time as you need in order to feel ok again. Everyone is different in their timeline, heck it’s been a year and a half for me and I’m barely feeling like I can date again. And that’s OK for ME! There’s no rush and we all need to be fair to another person to not hurt them by using them to get over someone else. Most days are fine now, but occasionally it still hurts. @@fj4731 I won't reach out for a while at least. Even Coach Lee says he only recommends reaching out under certain circumstances. Basically if you're at the point you're ready to move on but you're still willing to try again with your ex. Lee says minimum 3 months but maybe longer. The idea is there are some dumpers that might just be too anxious to reach out and maybe you as the dumpee just wants to know once and for all. But I'm nowhere near ready to move on so I won't be reaching out. But I kinda agree with Lee on that because regret can be a horrible thing. Years later you might wonder what if.

Last night my ex broke no contact by trying to call me twice and texting me once. I didn't respond at all because I was absolutely terrified, shaking, hyperventilating just like you described, I almost fainted tbh... 65 days since breakup, 57 days since full no-contact mode... Yes it works... But will you even want to talk to them anymore once it does work, that's the question... I have been hitting the gym three times per week (lost about 15lbs) and going to weekly therapy... Just focusing on myself.

The ball is still in her court. Your next step is to NOT step forward or backwards. Also just a word of advice. Work on not giving her this much power to control your emotional health. Independence is an attractive trait. Don’t let her think you’re just ready and waiting. Detach from the situation while imagining what you want in a secret happy corner.

Any advice ? Day 28 NC - this morning my ex contacted me for the second time in regards to belongings at our house, we lived together 8yrs. This is the 4th time in total he has reached out since NC. First 2 times was how are you? and sorry. He wants to come and put some stuff in boxes on Sunday, he was very casual, mentioned how hes grateful I'm the first ex to not go to war with him, and he hopes im getting out and about and we can stay friends...wtf. I acted accordingly and the convo ended..I feel broken for the fourth time. This is so hard.
well first, stop counting the days. i know it's devastating, i know how you're feeling. BUT counting the days won't make it easier for you. i can only tell you what has worked for me personally: - craig's videos helped me a lot in understanding what exactly went wrong in the relationship and how to behave in NC. - know that you are not alone. many many people know this exact feeling of being heartbroken. you're not crazy or anything, it's completely normal to have irrational thoughts etc. sometimes 🌸 most importantly: focus on personal growth. do the things you love. take care of yourself. treat yourself like you would treat a heartbroken friend. be kind to yourself. love yourself. take yourself out on dates. try new things. find a new hobby. learn a new skill. do the things you always wanted to do. e t c. there are SO many things you can do with your newly gained freedom. you just have to change your perspective. if you're counting the days, you're basically waking up every day thinking: damn, every hour of this day is gonna be a challenge. try something different. try thinking: wow, there are so many things i want to do today. where should i even begin? one day you're gonna go to bed, realising that you haven't even thought of your ex today. and you will get there sooner than you think. work on yourself - make him regret his decision ;) (shouldn't be your main goal though, just a convenient side effect) btw it's great you stood up for yourself & said that friendship isn't what you want. it takes a lot. often times people say it's fine just because they're thinking "well, it's at least something". you're very strong for going NC. also thank you for sharing your situation. i hope i could help you maybe a little bit. everyone has different coping styles but IMO the key to almost everything is to love & take care of yourself :) good luck out there, i wish you all the best!

My ex fiance broke up with me last month after a three year relationship we both have kids with other people but we had her son full time. He was attached to me. She Is an avoidant. She has run on me three different times. She wrote me a 5 page letter of everything I did wrong. Almost everything was true. My ex is very similar, Disorganised Attachment, due to traumatic history. I'm told possibly also Borderline Personality Disorder. It created very complicated and messy challenges.

@@Byku010 Many updates! We see each other regularly again and we've gone as far as looking into couples therapy again. All the studying of breakups and what to do / what not to do has paid off! I am now onto bigger questions that are specific to my own situation: My ex has "Disorganised Attachment" style (the worst kind) and likely has BPD. This causes all kinds of strange and complex behaviors, and means that a normal and healthy relationship may never be possible.
Mine messaged me, but idk he asked me to go to a festival with him all my friends are against it he said he wants to fix it after a month he’s avoidantly attached
as an avoidant myself .. i'd also say don't go to that festival with him. maybe you should suggest something different to do the first time you're meeting up again - see how he reacts, if he really cares & wants to fix things, it will show

I feel like my chances are pretty slim. Her mom also unfriended me that day, though her sister and a few of her friends remain on my friends list for the moment. I won't be posting anymore comments about it needless to say. It probably set my NC back if she did see it (though I have not attempted to contact her directly). I do post about what I'm doing from time to time, but keep it low key like Coach Craig says basically. Not going crazy.
In the meantime I started therapy, I'm doing the workbooks, watching the videos, joined a martial arts class (which I hope will help me with confidence) and volunteer at the SPCA. It's hard staying motivated I'll admit. 8 weeks and it still hurts. But I know I got to keep working. If by some miracle my ex ever does contact me again, which I suspect won't be for a while, I don't want to tell her how much I've changed. I want her to see it and know I'm no longer the needy, clingy, anxious guy she left. And I guess there's no rush anyway. It's not like I'll be ready to date anyone else for a long time anyway. I won't date anyone while I still am hung up on my ex. I got stupid one night and created a dating profile of Facebook dating, but I took it down within a few days realizing no way in hell am I ready to date again.
One thing I try to remember with the legit coaches I watch, Craig and his team, Lee, and Rory...and that is I have time, and to use that time wisely, working on myself. And I hope and pray that one day, when I'm ready, our paths will cross again. How I miss her though :(
My friend you have better things in life to do rather then just wondering of your EX would come back. The world is a big place an there are many other good girls around. Make sure in this no contact you work on youself not for your ex but for youself. Go to the gym or get youself engage in any activity that makes you feel good. Don't even think of contacting your ex upfront untill an unless it was your mistake due to which you broke up. I know it's difficult to hold back but that's what you have to do which would make you strong enough to overcome this phase. An trust me as time shall pass by you won't feel much need of your ex to come back in your life. If your ex have left you then please allow then to move on gracefully.
I’m so proud of you to realize that you’re not ready to date yet. Take as much time as you need in order to feel ok again. Everyone is different in their timeline, heck it’s been a year and a half for me and I’m barely feeling like I can date again. And that’s OK for ME! There’s no rush and we all need to be fair to another person to not hurt them by using them to get over someone else. Most days are fine now, but occasionally it still hurts. I guess when you truly love someone, it’s hard to let go. So I feel you. Good luck 🍀

@@fj4731 I won't reach out for a while at least. Even Coach Lee says he only recommends reaching out under certain circumstances. Basically if you're at the point you're ready to move on but you're still willing to try again with your ex. Lee says minimum 3 months but maybe longer. The idea is there are some dumpers that might just be too anxious to reach out and maybe you as the dumpee just wants to know once and for all. But I'm nowhere near ready to move on so I won't be reaching out. But I kinda agree with Lee on that because regret can be a horrible thing. Years later you might wonder what if.

Last night my ex broke no contact by trying to call me twice and texting me once. I didn't respond at all because I was absolutely terrified, shaking, hyperventilating just like you described, I almost fainted tbh... 65 days since breakup, 57 days since full no-contact mode... Yes it works... But will you even want to talk to them anymore once it does work, that's the question... I have been hitting the gym three times per week (lost about 15lbs) and going to weekly therapy... Just focusing on myself.
My ex is a FA and I’m a preoccupied anxious. It’s been four months since she broke off a 3.5 year relationship. She sat next to me at church 2 weeks in a row in may with no other contact. I’m good I hope you are too” she responded “ Thank you definitely been crazy purging and purging to try to fit into an apartment.” I didn’t respond to that. But she sat next to me in church again on a mass she doesn’t normally attend. It’s been a week and nothing. What’s my next step?
The ball is still in her court. Your next step is to NOT step forward or backwards.
Also just a word of advice. Work on not giving her this much power to control your emotional health.
Independence is an attractive trait. Don’t let her think you’re just ready and waiting.
Detach from the situation while imagining what you want in a secret happy corner.

Day 28 NC - this morning my ex contacted me for the second time in regards to belongings at our house, we lived together 8yrs. This is the 4th time in total he has reached out since NC. First 2 times was how are you? and sorry.
He wants to come and put some stuff in boxes on Sunday, he was very casual, mentioned how hes grateful I'm the first ex to not go to war with him, and he hopes im getting out and about and we can stay friends...wtf. I acted accordingly and the convo ended..I feel broken for the fourth time. This is so hard.
well first, stop counting the days.
i know it's devastating, i know how you're feeling.
BUT counting the days won't make it easier for you.
i can only tell you what has worked for me personally:
- craig's videos helped me a lot in understanding what exactly went wrong in the relationship and how to behave in NC.
- know that you are not alone. many many people know this exact feeling of being heartbroken. you're not crazy or anything, it's completely normal to have irrational thoughts etc. sometimes
🌸 most importantly: focus on personal growth. do the things you love. take care of yourself. treat yourself like you would treat a heartbroken friend. be kind to yourself. love yourself. take yourself out on dates. try new things. find a new hobby. learn a new skill. do the things you always wanted to do. e t c. there are SO many things you can do with your newly gained freedom. you just have to change your perspective.
if you're counting the days, you're basically waking up every day thinking: damn, every hour of this day is gonna be a challenge.
try something different. try thinking: wow, there are so many things i want to do today. where should i even begin?
one day you're gonna go to bed, realising that you haven't even thought of your ex today. and you will get there sooner than you think.
work on yourself - make him regret his decision ;) (shouldn't be your main goal though, just a convenient side effect)
btw it's great you stood up for yourself & said that friendship isn't what you want. it takes a lot. often times people say it's fine just because they're thinking "well, it's at least something". you're very strong for going NC.
also thank you for sharing your situation. i hope i could help you maybe a little bit. everyone has different coping styles but IMO the key to almost everything is to love & take care of yourself :)

My ex fiance broke up with me last month after a three year relationship we both have kids with other people but we had her son full time. He was attached to me. She Is an avoidant. She has run on me three different times. She wrote me a 5 page letter of everything I did wrong. Almost everything was true. Then she started watching our vivint security cameras and listening to my conversations just after the breakup in my most vulnerable positions. 3 days after the breakup She did a direct indirect contact and asked of my daughter got her bday messages from her I didnt responded. I totally regret not responding.
The fact that she wrote a five page letter telling you everything you did wrong and didn’t say what she did wrong seems to be a red flag.

My ex is very similar, Disorganised Attachment, due to traumatic history. I'm told possibly also Borderline Personality Disorder. It created very complicated and messy challenges.

I am now onto bigger questions that are specific to my own situation: My ex has "Disorganised Attachment" style (the worst kind) and likely has BPD. This causes all kinds of strange and complex behaviors, and means that a normal and healthy relationship may never be possible.

To me when she started reaching out I thought she was playing a game or test and I just ignored them and waited for her to say why she was reaching out and she never said why.
