After the case, when asked " Do you think you're better than her?" She has the nerve to say yes. What a joke. You can tell that the brother is on the sqme wave length as the sister and mom by his demeaner and answer. In the end, all teens try something at sometime or other. Mother was probably calm because she already gave her daughter an earfull many times before the case.

Why wasn't this case dismissed? JM usually says the court system doesn't help out in committing a crime, if I sold a pound of kilo to the defendant and they never paid me, the court system won't help me collect the money owed to me. How is this case different, they both scammed with fraudulent checks, they both guilty, and the case should be dismissed?

“You must be proud” lol they’re always proud of they babies even when they’re babies are committing crimes and messing around with the justice system. That mother is ridiculous, trying to pin everything and made it seem like it was the plaintiff plan. I guarantee she was the one who suggested her daughter to have the plaintiff to do that. If she was really concerned and knows the truth she would’ve contact the plaintiff’s bank herself and reported what happen but nope, instead she left the plaintiff handling it and pinning it all on her. Sad. People raise their kids like this but yet be acting so surprise when they go breaking the law and committing crimes.

Kids do stray and do stupid things. This was too well thought out to just be a 17 year old doing a stupid petty theft. Most 17 year olds won't tell another 17 year old to tell a bank that they lost a card to avoid fraudulent suspicion. Either the mom was in on it or the mom had participated in activities similar to what her daughter did and the daughter learned it from watching.
