Outdoor shows in Northeast USA are pretty much a grass hill facing a concrete & metal stage. All of the Castles you played at look extremely cool with wonderful atmosphere. Thanks very much for sharing!!
Bernth! The first time I saw your channel you didn’t have 10k followers yet. I’m so happy to see you passed the 500k barrier already!! Keep the excellent work! By the way, I started waking up at 5:30. Hope to be able to get to 4:30 anytime soon!
As an aspiring musician this is definitely a good thing to know. Not many of any artists show this side. It's a glimpse behind the curtain. You the man!!!! 🤘
I took the bar off my first guitar because people would always ask to play my guitar and crank the whammy bar like crazy. After a while I lost it and learned to play without it. Now I don't buy guitars with whammy bars or immediately take them off.
CASTLE SHOWS !?!?!? This is literally one of the most METAL things of all time!!! Will you be slaying a dragon for the encore? …. Great video!! So good to show that everything isn’t perfect and there are always new and different struggles to deal with. Even better was the way you dealt with the issues. Like a duck to water and let those issues roll right off your back. Bravo guitar brother!!!
The acoustic stuff sounded awesome 👍🏻 "A smooth sea, never made a skilled sailor" Looks like the hard work paid off, a little bump in the road makes it interesting 😉
I love these types of videos, especially when its from musicians within the genres I like listening and playing to. It gives me an idea of what to expect if I decide on gigging. Would love to see more of these videos with a couple of tips and tricks sprinkled in.
@@lethalslaughterband5498 he has the right to not like a style of guitar that you do, does he not? and the fact he still watches anyway is a big nod to bernth himself as a person isnt it.. it was his way of showing respect. and guess what? not everybody likes shredding, even if you and all your friends do too. and thats ok. if youre an adult at least.
Thanks for sharing this, B. Idk why it was so intriguing to me. All the castles were cool. We don’t have many here in the States. You’re a cool dude. 🤙🏻
So happy to see pro musicians you make working shows so much better! Oh and the pools are counter balance, the weight of the water keeps the structure from blowing over.
I remember when my strap fell off, thankfully it was a short bass and vocal only part, i quickly fix it and stand up with a kicking at nothing lol,the audiance seems to love it
Imagine the last note of the show rings out, the band gathers at the front, bows to the audience and instead of leaving only bids farewell to Chris & Bernhard as the opening riff from The Kindling starts playing. Maaan would I stay afterwards ...
Joined this about a two weeks ago, right off there were a couple of very expanding out of the box ways of scale applications through modes. A couple I had forgotten, a couple I didn't know. Great channel. I have patreon and will be checking it out. Disrupt...might have to change the name set for the project. lol
Thanks again for this "outtake" video, always nice piercing/peeking behind the scenes. As Italian... I'm biased: Brunico's the best castle show in the world (just kidding)! Keep rock on dude, you play hard! (a bit sorry for me... as I'll be in Brunico next week, I'd have enjoyed your show for sure)
It makes me happy to see you strap your guitar up so high! I sit to play 90% of the time, so when I actually stand it has to be up high or I can't play. It looks less cool 😎 but easier to play! Love your videos brother! Keep shredding 🤘😎🤘
Wow this was super cool to watch!👀 Love the behind the scenes to a show makes me feel like I have a vip pass 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼 😆 🤣 All those places were amazing 😯😍👌🏼
Hi Bernth! I really into watching your videos! My techniques have improved a lot since my daily routine is checking your lessons. It was good to see your tour video, thanks for making it. I have a question: do you prefer bringing a second instrument with yourself on tour (just for the sake of safety) or you go with only one acoustic and electric? Should a musician worried about having his only one guitar on tour, or having a spare instrument is only overestimating the risk?
Bernth does almost nothing "normal." That's why he kicks the crap out of most of us. I've even been trying to get a handle on his closed picking hand technique. After picking with a "normal" open hand since 1986, the closed hand feels a bit awkward to me so far, but it's a good awkward. 👍
Hallo Bernth! I like all that you do. You are excellent player, good person an you are always giving us awesome content! 🤟 As you live in Vienna, maybe you can consider some cooperation with Julia Ivanova (great singer) - I think now she lives in Vienna too, it would be great! 🤩 Thanks for all you are doing!
I would rather go to jail overnight than play an outdoor gig. I’m not kidding. But we gotta do what we gotta do🤣🤪 Oh, you’re playing castles. You’re a crazy great player and you guys sound awesome!
I used to do a lot of business travel and as I watch this it occurs to me that you're pretty much on a business trip. Uncooperative weather, unexpected equipment issues, nice hotels and food, lots of similarities.
How and why do you get up so early at home? Habit? I never wake up that early unless it's for work, and even then I need to be up no later than 3am xD For my day shifts anyway. Thanks for sharing your experience with us =)
Does anyone know if Bernth use Spotify thru his Patreon page? I got ripped off by Spotify and learned my lesson. I won up l would like to sign up but won't if it goes thru Spotify
There's no connection whatsoever with Spotify on his Patreon page. He posts tabs and extra learning material for the videos you see here, plus some exclusive videos,, so there's no need for Spotify.
If you haven't been cramped into a van for 10 thousand kilometres with too much equipment and enough methane to warm pluto, until you've got a bulging disk protruding from your spine, have you ever really been on tour?
Servus Bernth Spiele Gitarre seit ungefähr einem Jahr. Kann auch schon einiges spielen 🎸 Jedoch verstehe ich nicht was ich da genau spiele. Thanks for sharing the 'rougher' parts of a tour, too. Dealing with the rain and cold can be miserable! 🤘🏻

As an aspiring musician this is definitely a good thing to know. Not many of any artists show this side. It's a glimpse behind the curtain. You the man!!!! 🤘
I like the hotel at the first stop, the stage and castle at the second stop, and the weather at the third stop. Lol
There’s always some sort of problem with the whammy bar 😂
It’s a nightmare!
Was thinking about that. He should use fixed bars so he would never lose it anymore!
@@brunosarue idk, but sometimes I feel like I want that fucking stick of my guitar.

What a beautiful stage and back area. That castle is amazing (first one).

Living the guitarist dream. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks 🙂
Even though I can't stand shredding type of guitar playing I just love this channel, cheers.
Ehqts the problem with shredding

I'm pretty sure the kid said didn't have a clue what in the heck is the pool doing here I would have wondered the same thing .

I absolutely love these tour videos
Congratulations for playing with tool. That's a dream come true!!
Bernth you are the best! You have helped me so much with guitar I am forever indebted to you, legend!
Congratulations Bernth, well deserved. Take care.
Thank you for the insights into your touring, man! Awesome!
Your videos always inspire me to be a better guitarist 😊 thank you!
Great tour Sir. Really get inspired watching you play.
Wow I really admire your lifestyle ,thanks for sharing it with us

Kufstein castle, Arte Hotel.. familiar places for me. Nice video, Bernth!
Thumbs up, keep on rocking! 👍
thks for you had work Bernth, Im enjoying your video's
Bernth you need a backup whammy bar on a belt buckle or something, time to get a permanent backup in place id say

Dam bro this was awesome
300Km is a long drive? Laughing in north american! Those castle venues looked cool as well, we ain't got those! The mini tour looked fun as hell.
What you were here in Brunico?? I don’t live far from it, would have loved to see/meet you!
Eres muy bueno sigue así mucho ánimo 👍
Gotta relate with the whammy bar. It's a nightmare.
What a life! 90 minutes of work per week and that's it. When I'm a grownup, I'm gonna be a tour guitarist, too.
Man I think this is the first time I saw your hand doing a normal G chord.
Bernth does almost nothing "normal." That's why he kicks the crap out of most of us. I've even been trying to get a handle on his closed picking hand technique. After picking with a "normal" open hand since 1986, the closed hand feels a bit awkward to me so far, but it's a good awkward. 👍
Do techs also there with u while travleing? Mean who manages the tones and sound at backstage
I don't know if I missed it, but did you write your solos, are they improvised or a combination of the two when you played the pop gig a while back?

which guitar strap do you use? I just bought one and I can’t make it as tight as I would prefer it to play 🤔
I wish I could could have a this guy has a teacher.
OMG, there can't be anything worse than loud jazz in the morning. Other than loud jazz at night. Or in the afternoon. Or any freakin' time.
Welcome to the Neural family.
Have you ever tried mid song to improvise a solo on the spot or do your band mates not allow it or something
All the castles are cool there's no such thing as a bad one awesome dude that must have been so cool. 🗿
So what is that band you keep talking about and playing these shows with? I still have not figured out How you are called 😅
