Thank you so much. Our goal is to have a video to help you out with all your issues. Then, even if we are closed... you can still get immediate answers. We are glad this is helpful for you.
Thank you for this video! I had a 20% tca peel and after the first peeling, some areas began to peel again. I thought for sure damage was done to those areas. But after watching this, I quit panicking and just kept moisturizing. Eventually the sloughing was done, and I am BLOWN AWAY by how much better the forehead lines are. They aren't gone, but seriously 5 years better looking for sure. Thank you for such wonderful videos and explanations
@@PlatinumSkinCare I've purchased more to do a series, I'm assuming at least 4 weeks apart for each? I'm going to try to do a full 6 at least, and wear loads of sunscreen and hats this summer
Thank you! No more bleaching hair. LOL... Back to my natural hair color. learned my lesson the hard way. Just being super careful and never blow dry anymore. Oils and treatments and ... Ta-Da... what a change.
Whoops! I was definitely one of those who wrung out my gauze too well. 😂 No peeling, no redness, no tightness after two layers of 13. Oh, well, I’ll wait 2 weeks and try the TCA again. My gauze was definitely very dry and don’t believe it wet my skin at all.
Yes - we want that gauze WET ... but not dripping. We should see a nice sheen allover your face. It will dry in 10 seconds or so. Think of this - your skin will PROCESS all of the Peel solution that you apply to your face. So if you swipe over a very DRY layer .. there isn't a lot to do. It is done before you know it. WET ... and it has more time to process that. ... TOO WET though .. and your peel goes Much Deeper than you anticipated. I suggest to Wet the gauze. Then Shake it ... or fold and do gentle presses with your FingerTips a few times to get the Drips off. Then apply. Perfect!
Oh, and going to contact you next week! You will walk me through my first peel since I was in my mid 30’s(for acne is why I did a series of them at a derm office)
I think its best to do one area at a time like the mouth and wait a week then do the forehead that what i do. i do the 25% peel and don't hurt that much doing one are.
You may apply like that if you wish. I like to get it all done at 1x. 25% TCA is VERY VERY strong. Use caution. I would suggest the 13% at 2-4 layers instead.
Hi Jeniffer, You are doing wonderful job and your products are so amazing. Thanks for this. I did TCA 13percent and after that some blackheads which turned into pimples. There is no problem in your products actually whenever I go for facial ,mild scrubbing I got pimples . My skin is very sensitive . Can you please suggest me any solution after peel to avoid pimples and the pimples area is only cheek area where I Have open pores .
Sure, lots of people that have acne prone skin will get pimples after any type of exfoliation. That is because it usually takes about 4 weeks for the pimples (deep in the layers of skin) to reach the surface of the skin. By exfoliating - they are coming out more quickly Read over this article: www.platinumskincare.com/how-our-ceo-cured-her-acne/ Just use your normal acne treatments, such as a drying lotion www.platinumskincare.com/acne-drying-lotion/ or a benzoyl peroxide to speed up the healing www.platinumskincare.com/clear-curoxyl-benzoyl-peroxide-10/ I would also suggest stepping up your daily regimen. AB Cleanser 2x per day + Vitamin B Complex 2x per day will really help. Retinol Molecular Serum .20% will help to eradicate the continuous clogs.
Ugh, I have heat in my skin (and ears) as I have (facial) Inflammatory Hyperkeratotic Dermatosis. I didn’t do anything to cause mine, it’s not fun, so if you can avoid it, I highly recommend you do! 🙁❤️💛💙
Amazing how she actually responds to every single question! I am very impressed. I will be trying their Peels once I’m done with another company I’m currently using.
Hello. You really need to be careful when doing peels on darker skin. Are you trying to treat darker areas? If so then Fade Bright or HQ every day to help lighten and prevent PIH. Then a peel like Jessners or a mandelic 40 would be a good option.
How do we layer the fade bright, supercop, emu oil, essential healing oil blend, retinol or Luminosity method? (And spf) what should be used in the morning vs evening?
Hello. Immediately after a peel is a special time where you CAN use a treatment such as Fade Bright. I will penetrate nicely. After that day... the skin gets tough and things won't penetrate nicely. So only apply this right then ok. Copper serums would be OK. They are not irritating. Super Cop 2x is too irritating. Save that for when your skin is NOT just peeled or flaking. Rinse peel. FB then Luminosity then healing oil (emu or essential healing blend.. or combo). Next day am: wash then healing products and SPF Next day pm: Wash then Luminosity and healing products. Continue like that until there is flaking. Once flaking starts STOP Luminosity.
I bought tca 13 and haven’t started using it because I don’t know what after care creams I need to use. Can I use an alpha Arbutin 2%+ HA serum that I have on hand to pretreat my face. And can I use glycolic acid 7% toner afterwards. And also can I use aquaphor healing ointment or is there something I can buy that’s cheap for healing process?
Alpha arbutin and HA serum would be an excellent option. I would also recommend a healing product such as the Emu oil or our Essentials Healing Oil here: www.platinumskincare.com/essentials-healing-blend-99-organic/
Hi, I have a small hyperpigmentation on my nose which didn't fade away after I did a few 10% salicylic acid peels. Do you think buying the fade bright will help to fade the hyperpigmentation? And is the trial size enough for that? because it's just several millimeters of hyperpigmentation
It is possible that it could work that quickly. Since you only would need a drop - it may just last you a few weeks. Remember to use SPF of at least 50 when you are treating pigmentation or it will not go away and if it does - it will come back again once you get some sun.
Absolutely. That is fine. The Luminosity simply speed up the peeling process a bit. I recommend keeping your skin moisturized with our Emu Oil or Healing Oil. You could apply a Glycolic Serum one time per day post peel if your skin reacts better to glycolic. Just a thought...
You may use whatever cleanser you have - but you will need to be extra diligent with the Prep Solution or 90% alcohol to be sure all traces of product are removed.
Hello I'm currently pre treating my skin before I use my peel and my question is after I use my tca 13 peel can I wash with a cleanser then apply alpha arbutin hyaluronic acid and niacinimide before luminosity then the essential oils and emu oil from platinum skincare or do I apply the luminosity first then my other skincare.
Just rinse with cold water after the peel. No need for a cleanser. Just cold water and then apply your Luminosity and healing products such as Essential Healing Oil or Emu Oil. Hold off on the Fade Bright until your skin starts to peel or flake.
Absolutely. Hyaluronic will hold 1000x its own weight in water and that will make your skin feel less dry. Try to top that with an oil so you can seal that in as long as possible. Never forget your SPF when heading out as well.
I just did my first peel with your products❤️ I did a 20% and 3 layers, I am peeling and on day 5. So far, I am please with the results. This is the first time I’ve done one at home but have done 2 in offices before. When can should I do my next and how often should these be performed? Is there a good maintenance formula? Can you do 1 or 2 layers a month just for monthly exfoliation?
Space your TCA Peels 4-6 weeks apart depending on how many layers you apply. Yes, if you are doing 1-2 layers you can do them every 3-4 weeks. See page 14 of your Instruction manual for more details.
Are mineral sunscreens preferred after a peel, or does it not matter? I use the UVMune la Roche posay European sunscreen with the best filters, but not sure if it’s too harsh after a peel.
Hi Platinum Skin Care Team, I have ordered Fade bright and Retinol 20% from your site after seeing the PIH video. I have a couple of queries, it would be very helpful if you could answer them for me. So I am from India and have colored skin with my joints darker than rest of the body which bothers me, specially my knees , knuckles and ankles. I had tried salicylic acid 15% peel on the areas an the skin underneath turned out much lighter but of a reddish shade. Still much better than the dark skin standing out, I applied moisturizer and after some time hudroquinone to maintain the result however after few weeks the area turned much darker than it was before peeling. It stands out even more and looks like I got bruised. Can you please suggest me peels and process to help with my situation long term. I need to treat knees and knuckles . And if it goes well would like to peel my back as it has acne scars. I am just afraid of the darkness after peeling, need your guidance and product suggestions to get it right.
Hello. Fade Bright + Triple Treat 25% Body Lotion every day. SPF 50 as well. Lactic 50% peel every 2-3 weeks to help lighten the dark areas. This can be used on the back as well... but Jessners may work a bit better and is also excellent for hyperpigmentation.
When to apply moisturiser (Shea butter and Aloevera) during flaking if we using fade bright and sunscreen what should be the order.. For Fade bright,Moisturizer,Sunscreen and Retinol...
I have aging sensitive skin. I already did both series of MANDELIC %. The last in my series of mandelic 40 was a couple of weeks ago & I had red, light flaking & a bit of burning. How long before I move up to next peel & which tca is best? Is continuation of fadebright & ceasing tretinoin for a few days enough as far as prep?
You can try our TCA 7%. Start at 1-2 layers. TCA is generally applied one time per month. Stop your treinoin about 5 days prior to each TCA peel and pretreat 1-2 x per day with Fade Bright for 2 weeks prior to each peel.
How long should I start peeling? And after the peeling how does ur face feels? They say I would feel my face tighter but I actually feel the same way like if it wasn’t there now I’m scared if I don’t even peel, I asked 4 days off at my job hopefully not unnecessarily. It been 27 hours I didn’t wash my face or put anything. I had PCA peel
Hi I used other peel before at home. But never use TCA peels. What percentage you would recommend for the first Start with TCA peels. I have old acne scars.
Tretinoin is going to be too irritating - as it is a very strong acid. I would skip that until your skin is completely done flaking and feels "normal" again. The hydroquinone should be fine to use. It will help to prevent PIH and will work well on any pigmentation you have.
Good Day, I recently bought a TCA 20% level 2 peel to help with my PIH. I have dark skin, however, can you shed some light on how to go about applying the peel to my dark legs without making the spots darker. NB: I've had two expensive chemical peels by a professional months ago but it was a lower percentage and it didnt do anything.
We suggest prepping the skin with a melanin inhibitor such as our FAde Bright (or hydroquinone) for 2 weeks prior to applying a body peel. This slows down the melanin production in the skin so you are less likely to hyperpigment. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/-BbBMrQwmT0/v-deo.html and this video: ua-cam.com/video/oCkWVuF79Ys/v-deo.html We also recommend applying this right after you rinse your peel off to help as well. Cover with SPF 40-50 if you don't have pants on. UV is what causes the main issues.
We have a full video on this here: www.platinumskincare.com/how-do-i-get-rid-of-brown-spots-dark-spots-age-spots-pigmentation/ Fade Bright 2x per day SPF 50 during the day. Jessners is excellent. TCA is good as well. Lactic is another option for a milder peel.
I made a possibly grave mistake- 2nd round of TCA 20% (admittedly I am a child…and don’t follow directions bc I am impatient and a toddler) I’ve been using the dream peel randomly (again not exactly per directions. I feel like I’ve definitely done something wrong here) there was one tuft of skin between the eyebrows- where I likely concentrated the peel for the “11” lines…all was well until i did a dumb thing and pulled the dry patch of skin off before it actually fell off on its own. Now i have a big red scabby kinda spot that is worse than the 11 lines- it’s like a big birthmark that’s as big and brazen as anything I have on my stupid face- you can see from a mile away. What do i do now?!!! (The toddler in me says: MORE PEEL.) but I’m listening to the adult inside and knowing that may be bad idea. Have I made a big giant scar where there was nothing but pesky wrinkles before?! (Super fair freckles skin over here- takes the peel well EXCEPT for me grabbing that spot of skin and manually pulling it off… ugh.)
If you remove skin before it is ready to come off it will be irritated, raw and can hyperpigment. You need to use a lightening product like our Fade Bright or something with alpha arbutin or hydroquinone to get that back to your normal skin coloring. Also SPF 50 is mandatory. When you move forward again... TCA 20 at no more than 2 layers. ... and be patient. Peels are done in a series. Take your time. Apply more healing oils/lotion to keep the skin moisturized and you from wanting to pull it off.
Hi I did in my arms Tca 35 and scand day it looks ver bad look read and black and their water ander skin and it’s harts and burn I don’t know what I’ll do
TCA 35% would be extremely strong. What will also make it stronger - is if you put a LOT of solution on your body. Was it very wet and dripping? ... That will go even deeper. Multiple layers??? That will go deeper as well. A dark skin after a peel is generally just fine though. Dead skin that is drying can darken. Get some Aquaphor and apply that to keep the area moist and protected. Avoid sun and cover with clothing. Keep the skin ON as long as possible. When it is done peeling, then you can see if there is any PIH. Treat that with Fade Bright or hydroquinone 2x per day and SPF 50 until it fades.
Love your products but I am stil confused about how often I should do my Mandelic peel? is it every 7-10 days ok after peeling? my skin didn’t really peels more like flaking , hard to see which is what I really wanted
Liquid makeup doesn't look good on peeling skin. I suggest waiting until the majority is peeled off. **Consider instead a Tinted SPF like this: www.platinumskincare.com/cotz-flawless-complexion-spf-50/ or a daily ABC cream like this: www.platinumskincare.com/basics-alphabet-day-cream/
Hi I am hoping you can help me. I am middle eastern. I had used a compounded rx strength retina/hydroquinone cream few days prior. I did a PCA peel and areas where I was already peeling became very irritated and turned into scabs. I mistakenly put on make up the next day and showered in medium hot water the scab fell off within a day and then turned pink. Now it is brown and very large. I have multiple but one is huge. It has been 7 days and I am very worried this is permanent because in past I got permanent scars from microneedling 3 years ago under my cheeks. Please tell me if it can be permanent and what to do. Also I wear 2 different types of sunscreen and reapply all day.
It sounds like you need to use more of your hydroquinone cream 2x per day. SPF 50 or higher. That is definitely PIH and you want to treat that nonstop until it lightens.
Will it be okay if I do a series of 10 peels and then take a month break. I have been trying to get rid of PIH for years in the areas where I grow facial hair. and I see no improvements really.
If I haven't finished the all bottle bc I did only one layer for first time , can it be kept for another time, I mean what has been left and if it is allowed where to keep it ? thank you
You can certainly try it. There are many occassions where we recommend acid serums or creams or retinoids to help remove the skin more quickly. A toner may work just as well. Remember though, it if is too irritating, rinse it off and try again in a few days.
Stop applying once the skin is rough and flaking. Things don't penetrate during this phase. When you are all done - then start up your normal regimen again.
You want to use products that don't irritate your skin and that are healing/soothing. If your glow serum is that - then absolutely. If it is burning (which C can do since it is an acid) you will want to rinse it off and try again in a few days.
So it’s perfectly ok to use my trentinoin right after I’ve applied the peel? Or is it necessary to wait a few days or more? I did a 3 layer 13 percent TCA 😊
No... please do not use tretinoin. That is the Acid form of vitamin A. We do not want to apply acids to peeled skin. Please use an OTC retinoid such as our Fusion Luminosity .... or a slightly milder retinoid. 1x per day until skin starts to flake and then stop.
Hey experienced peel user here and my skin has come a long way. Amazing changes no doubt even my dark depressed scars are now skin colored and almost no more depressed zones. Anyway I’m here because after a year of using tca sometimes weekly(yup weekly worked for me) Im kind of concerned if I have made a mistake since I knew that tca was found to be cancerogenic (animal studies ik ) but still used it. Do you know what type of cancer it may cause so that I know what to get checked?
This was something coming out in 2013 about that. I do not believe anything conclusive has been figured yet. Dermatologists are not worried about it though from news that I can see. On the flip side - TCA is actually used to help prevent/slow skin cancer www.webmd.com/melanoma-skin-cancer/news/20060821/3-treatments-slow-skin-cancer so it isn't all bad news. There are many ingredients that "potentially could cause cancer" and until that is proven - they are all considered GRAS. If we hear anything we will post it. So far it is looking good for TCA.
Platinum Skin Care thanks, yeah I read about it before that at least it helps getting rid of precancerous skin cells. Found what I was looking for I just hope the liver cancer and fertility part isn’t a problem for humans
@@boykingmb Yes, unfortunately testing done on animals always falls short. For example, no one would every drink TCA ... and for most tests, animals are given a dose that a normal human being would never be able to ingest. The studies are very flawed. Even water can kill you if drunken in excess!
Platinum Skin Care haha yeah, you’re right. & Now that I think about it,we can eat huge quantities of some foods with no issues but that may be toxic to animals in minimal amounts. I won’t be wondering about it anymore, thanks 😉👍
It’s day 3. I’m a 3 on the Fitz chart. I’ve done 13 TCA before. I’m a user of tret and I’m 58. I followed the directions on the manual. And did 2 passes waiting 5 min on each pass… Maybe my skin is tough or conditioned? You say it is working so I’ll trust that. Thank you!
Definitely do NOT be tanning the skin. You will only cause further damages. As the skin peels off - you would be MORE prone to damages. SPF 50 is mandatory if you are doing peels .. or, full coverage with your clothing. :)
Hi I have question. Can I do 20 percent tca peel process just on my cheek area only? How many layers? Or is is best to do full face. I have enlarged pores and some pock mark scars. I'm Caucasian with oily skin that easily tans. I know I need to stay out of the sun after peel but for how long? I am so scared. How many days off work will I need to take? I read oil is bad to use after the peel.
Many people like to do 1 layer on their entire face and a 2nd layer of just spot treatments. I am sure that will work well for you too. TCA 20% is awfully strong for someone that is brand new. I suggest starting with the TCA 13% at 2-3 layers and then you can go to work and all that good stuff with just some flaking skin. See this video for application: ua-cam.com/video/nS2d_1M3Mag/v-deo.html Watch this entire playlist on TCA: ua-cam.com/video/p9XDQAykpKg/v-deo.html
You asked about pores. Vitamin A *www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ or prescription RetinA are the best treatments for large pores. Peels can help by removing any debris from the pores so they don't have to stretch. Vitamin A is the best though or an IPL treatment. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/tiTPGIZ9n8A/v-deo.html
I’m an Etsy and thinking of doing a mandelic peel for my 16 YO granddaughter. She has back acne and I wanted to start there. Is it okay for that large a surface area to begin lower strength?
Fan brushes hold a LOT of liquid. That is ok with a mild hydroxy peel like glycolic or mandelic or lactic or salicylic. BUT ... with TCA or Jessners you want to be very precise about how much solution you are applying. So use a Gauze with them.
I peeled a little of the flakes recently around my eyebrow small patch after my 4th tca 13%peel recently and iv just noticed that tiny patch has gone slightly darker I have pre treated my skin before and after and I'm using my tritinoin and hydroquinone now when could I do a spot treatment to get rid of it and can I close the bottle for future use? I don't want to waste any product
Hi there. We never want to prematurely pull any of the skin off. This can lead to PIH. If the skin is not ready to come off on its own... it can cause darkening. You are using the hydroquinone - that is perfect. It will help to lighten that back up. ***IT may even peel again. This can happen when the skin isn't ready it can form another protective layer that will peel again. SPF 50.
Hello. I’m planning to use glycolic peel as a beginner. Can i put moisturizer after acid? How many times can i use the acid in a week? Or month? Can i use vitamin c serum or essences or all other serums that im using after applying glycolic? Thanks!
You can do a glycolic peel 1x a week or 1x every other week depending on your skin's sensitivity. I would skip acids such as vitamin C or other aha serums until all dryness/flaking is completed. Then, you can go back to your normal regimen. Just use a hydrating product such as our Essentials Healing Blend or emu oil after a peel.
Hello. Still waiting for your reply. I bought your 30% TCA and was wondering if I could use it on a cystic pimple diluted maybe into 20% so it goes away Faster and doesn't Scar. Please respond
You will need to dilute the TCA 30 in half to a TCA 15. 1 part water to 1 part TCA 30 will bring it down to a TCA 15. You can certainly spot treat with TCA 15.
Shipping weights are what create the costs. With USPS I would say the average price for a 1lb package is around $13-17 for First Class Mail INternational. That can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks average. Express is another option that usually runs around $30+ dollars, and that will arrive much quicker. Generally within 1-2 weeks maximum. The best way to get your price is to add the item into the cart and go to your checkout. Put in your address and you will see the exact shipping options available to you in your location.
Absolutely you can use your hydroquinone. Then, watch out for the retinA... it is the straight acid and can burn or be irritating. If it is - then rinse and try again in a few days. The benefit of retinol is that it isn't acid on the surface of the skin. It penetrates and gets converted in the deeper layers, so it isn't irritating.
Hi, I use the ordinary AHA&BHA 30% red peel , I’ve been using it for around 6-8 months and it’s good to be honest. I’ve some acne scars and marks and some spots (not acne though) I’m 100% buying a peel from platinum I’m thinking TCA, but because I’m used to peels such as the ordinary and AHA’s etc on my face should it be ok to go straight for the 20% TCA? Because I don’t want to order the 13% and it isn’t working enough. Thanks and hope I get a reply! Enjoy your weekend😁
Brandon Hanley hello. You do not want to jump from a Lactic glycolic 30% Peel to a 20% Tca. Tca is applied in layers to get its strength. I suggest 2 layers of the Tca 13% to start off with. Work your way up to 5 layers and then move to the 20% of you feel the need.
Platinum Skin Care also I’m wondering, as my skin has a few scars/marks etc from past acne (2-3 years ago) and I still get some small spots not really pimples or cysts just ones that stay for a day or 2 at most and then go even though my scars are fading but for this summer I want my skin to be as good as it can be as I’ve a lot of things coming up, what is actually the best peel cause jessners is supposed to be good too so for my skin condition for the best results what do you think I should go for ? TCA or jessners? Thanks a lot
I would like to do a series of monthly tca peels but I also microneedle once every two weeks. How can I do both since both require recovery time before anything else is done?
You want to wait 1 full week in-between peels and needling. So if I were you, I would do my needling ... then wait one week ... then do my TCA peel. Allow the skin to peel completely (about 10 days) and then wait 1 week. ... Now do your needling again and continue onwards. You will get to do each modality about 1x per month. That is OK though... it will work beautifully.
@@PlatinumSkinCare if you are nano or cosmetic needling only if you want to medical microneedling there is a 4 to 6 weeks healing between that so I would wait for that until you are done with your chemical peels
I did a tca peel 35%. The area is very dark. I think I’ve burned my skin. I left the peel on for 8 min I layered once. The area is on my inner thigh. I am of a darker skin tone. Any suggestions ? I did this yesterday
Hello. That was an exceptionally strong acid to apply to your ethnic skin - and you layered it. You are going to run the very real possibility of getting PIH here. *No matter what... your skin is going to turn darker NOW. IT will take a couple of weeks before that skin is ready to come off since this is your body. So you can't judge anything at this point in time. Wait 4 weeks when the process is complete and then take stock. Watch this video next: www.platinumskincare.com/so-you-ended-up-with-pih
Are you trying to Prep? Or heal afterwards? Your normal Daily Regimen should include things like an acid cleanser or toner, a retinoid and SPF. These are mandatory minimums to prep that skin. If you already have some of those - then you are all set. See this video as well: www.platinumskincare.com/how-important-is-prepping-for-a-peel-simple-regimen/
Hi, I had a few 10 percent salicylic acid peels lately in order to treat my PIH, but none of them got rid of the hyperpigmentation I have on my nose. What have I possibly done wrong? And what should I do?
PIgmentation can run VERY deep. It has taken years to get there and a few peels are not going to take care of it that easily. *Most times. Make sure that you are using an SPF of at least 40-50 every day - or even if you do minimize it - you will get more in its place and possibly even worse. Make sure you are applying Fade Bright or another melanin inhibitor 2x per day every day to slow the melanin production. Complete your peel series - that is 8 peels in a row - and THEN judge and decide what you should do next. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/B7sFKc9jfDM/v-deo.html or this one: ua-cam.com/video/x55s9645Zb4/v-deo.html
@@PlatinumSkinCare Okay 👌. Will using only tretinoin(0.5%) for a couple of month fade the hyperpigmentation? And if I am on tretinoin how much does it make my skin more sun sensitive?
@@yaronamitai2490 Using Vitamin A daily will definitely help to fade pigmentation. It causes cellular turnover in the skin - which leads to newer skin on the surface. What are your thoughts on Musely products? Supposedly, Musely is very effective on fixing hyperpigmentation, melasma, freckles, birthmarks on the face. Less expensive than a traditional chemical peel.
I believe these are prescription products? Dailies such as retinoids with other ingredients, such as HQ, added. These types of products we consider mandatory for everyone. We have our own OTC lineup of course. Chemical peels play a completely different role. They have much higher %'s and much lower pH levels to get the peeling necessary. That's a loaded question - because I am 100% positive that there are many oils that you could put on your face that would not cause issues - and that could even help. But, you are on the market for an oil-free product and luckily, I have the perfect one. Vitamin B Complex is made to help treat acne prone and problem skin. You can find that here: www.platinumskincare.com/b-complex-vitamin-b-cream/
I also want you to try this trick. 1. Wash your face. 2. Do NOT dry it - or barely towel it dry. Keep it moist and... now put on your Vitamin B Complex before it dries completely. Now that you are applying hydration - your skin doesn't have to feel that it is too dry and pump out the excess oils. ;)
Squalane is a oil that is 0 on the comedogenic scale, meaning it wont clog you're pores. 0 risk. I have had acne issues my entire life, and its not oil you should be worried about it is the comedogenic scale. Coconut oil is about a 4 on the scale meaning, despite what others claim it will clog you're pores eventually if you are acne prone. There is hardly anything that is a 0 on the scale. I can tell you that squalane has never ever caused a zit for me, and literally just about every other thing I try to put on my skin does. If you have acne stay away with things that have lots of ingredients in them to. Since ingredients could potentially break you out, and if you use a product with lots of ingredients you have no idea what is causing the acne anyway. That is why a oil (one ingredient) is helpful. P.s. Make sure you buy Squalane spelled like Squalane instead of Squalene. Remember friend EVERYTHING YOU PUT ON YOUR FACE COULD CAUSE ACNE. Keep it as simple as possible and follow the comedogenic scale. Iamgreenminded.com has makeup that is 0 on the comedogenic scale, and that is a garuntee. Even makeup that claims that it wont clog pores is LYING TO YOU!! They have acne causing ingredients that are on the high end of comedogenic scale, but advertise it in a dishonest way for money. Iamgreenminded.com is the only makeup that will not cause acne for myself and others because it promisses that every ingredient in the product is a 0 on the comedogenic scale. I used to have chronic acne issues. This brand also has acne healing ingredients for the sensitive skin if you look in the acne section, they have specific makeup for acne to. Bye bye! Best of luck to you!
Glycolic is a superficial weekly peel. Most clients will not see any visible peeling with the acids that can be applied 1 x per week. Maybe a bit of dryness or slight flaking, but lots of good stuff is happening under the skin.. That is the benefit of the milder peels. No down time and you will continue to stimulate collagen on an on going basis, as you apply them weekly. Most of the dead skin cell are exfoliating gently as you are cleansing your skin morning and night.
I did a 35% Tca acid peel for my mom. Her face looked ripped a thick layer of skin off. It was terrible! She was in so much pain and it took her 10 days to heal and there was no skin peeling. 20 days after the peel, her face looks like she has permanent burnt skin marks on her entire face. It looks like a dark brown color but she is light skinned. I’m don’t know what to do know.
Kamran Kheri 35% Tca on her face? That is way way too strong. Her skin definitely peeled. The dark marks left behind are pih most likely. The extreme strength of the peel caused inflammation. This is going to be a long time treating to minimize that. She needs spf 50 every day. Melanin inhibitors such as our Fade Bright or hydroquinone. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist to get a prescription to help that. It will be stronger.
If I am using 10% salicylic acid peel on face hyperpigmentation without any melanin inhibiting product, do I have any chance of improvement or it will always keep darkening post peel -PIH.
Salicylic is a treatment for PIH - so you should get some improvement for sure. I would definitely begin using a melanin inhibitor daily as well though - and SPF 40-50.
@@yaronamitai2490 It certainly can. Windows are not sunblock and some interior lighting can cause UV damages on the skin. It is always better to be safe than sorry. *Yes, you need some vitamin D... so choose your times appropriately and get about 10-15 minutes of exposure on your body or take a supplement.
Hello there. I will say that TCA peels can help to stimulate collagen and elastin and this will definitely improve the texture and sturdiness of the skin. What it will not do is remove actual sagging skin. Unfortunately nothing topical can take the place of a surgical procedure. If it is mild enough.. then improvements will DEFINITELY happen. They may be enough for you - and they might not.
Karen Townsend We suggest instead that you dilute it in half to put on the eye area. Do equal parts water and TCA 13 and then you can apply it. See our TCA EYE peel video.

the SPF30 i use has a tan activating bronze, a melanin enhancer, is this safe to use after an TCA peel? (i actually dont mind my skin looker darker or bronze as long as its safe)
2willyboy a self tanner is just dying the outermost layer - not stimulating melanin. I wouldn’t suggest a self tanner though after any peel. It will take up to the drying skin and your color will be very uneven. Use a standard spf and save that for when your skin is all flaked off.
I would not use a TCA 30% on the neck/chest. Yes, the neck and chest are "body parts".... but they are actually quite reactive and you should just use the same that you are applying to your face. I suggest the 13% instead.
I used tretinoin hydroquinone for my face for about a week. And I already peeled. But the outcome is still slightly red and a bit darker than my complexion before. What to do?
You applied a tca peel? What percentage and how many layers? IF you applied a higher percentage - and/or more layers....your skin will be a bit darker for awhile. The skin may peel more than one time. If you are completely done flaking and still have the redness after a couple of weeks, use the Hydrocortisone 1% for a few days to a week to even the skin tone.
I didn't wear gloves when I applied my tca peel 3 layers and now my finger tips look like they have been in water to long... you know the look🤤lol Is this normal as my face doesn't look like my fingers! Thank you! 🤗
Yes indeed. I never wear gloves and get that all the time! Dry and crisp like. Different skin on your fingers as opposed to your face. Perfectly normal.
I didn't wear gloves either, you'd think it would be common sense, but I was so nervous and just going by the instruction book that I didn't think about it until after my first layer. They should put in a recommendation, lol. Also if it matters what type of dish to pour the acid in. I didn't know if it could be plastic or ceramic. I had to really look for small glass dish.
We certainly recommend a retinoid right after rinsing the TCA and for the first couple of days. This will help to get you more aggressive flaking. We use our Luminosity Method which is a .50% retinol.
Ok thank you! I just wanted to be sure since it’ll be my first one and didn’t want to make it any stronger or harsher until I see how my skin reacts. I really appreciate your feedback! I love your channel and all the information you give!
If you are referrig to using the Retinol .20 in place of the Luminosity .50... you could do that. Apply 1x per day until skin starts to flake. Then stop.

Hi, I am a darkskin woman and I just had a chemical peel called Apeele. I was done peeling within 4/5 days. It’s now day 10 but my skin has stayed extremely dark. I went back to the office I had it done and she gave me an enzyme mask and says it’s part of the process and it will go away within a month. Is this true or do I have PIH?. She didn’t warn me of this and I’ve barely left my house because I’m too embarrassed of how dark my face is compared to the rest of my body. Please help!
That is not anything we make, but it seems to have standard ingredients and also hydroquinone in it which is a melanin inhibitor. I would normally want you to be on that for at least 2 weeks prior to this peel because of your skin coloring... but, this isn't our product and their protocol obviously differs. I don't see anything referencing a pretreatment of an inhibitor - but there are definite warnings for afterward to reference pigmentation. I will paste below: Complications APEELE may result in a profound improvement in the quality of facial skin, but this treatment also has potential complications. Results and complications are generally related to the depth of wounding, with deeper peels providing more marked results and a higher incidence of complications. Complications are also more likely with darker skin types and certain peeling agents. Erythema generally subsides within 90 days but may become prolonged and even manifest as hyperpigmentation. Patients at increased risk are those taking oral contraceptive pills, exogenous estrogens, or other photosensitizing medications. The application of topical hydrocortisone lotion and/or a short course of systemic steroids may lead to earlier resolution. Other treatment options for hyperpigmentation include trans-retinoic acid, glycolic acid, or hydroquinone. Accompanying pruritus may be treated with oral antihistamines. Following chemical peeling, the skin is typically sensitive to the sun, which also may be a source of hyperpigmentation. Instruct patients to use sunscreen daily for 6-12 months following a chemical peel. Patients should also be educated in the appropriate application of camouflaging makeup. Hypopigmentation is the result of melanocyte destruction or inhibition.Hypopigmentation is more noticeable on darkly pigmented patients. Hypopigmentation may be difficult to assess until erythema has subsided, at which point the condition unfortunately becomes permanent. The line of demarcation between treated and untreated skin is usually the most noticeable. Prior to the peel, with the patient in the sitting position, note the position of the skin draping over the mandibular border. The peel may be feathered at this line of natural shadowing to create a transition zone. This may be performed by using a less concentrated formulation or by applying less of the agent in these regions. Camouflage makeup may help conceal this and other pigmentary disturbances.
I have a little bump as I pulled off the skin thinking it's flaking and ready to come out... Please suggest how many days will it take to go away... And after one week can I do another peel covering that bump too?
I am sorry.... are you saying you did a peel and then pulled skin off and now there is a bump? What is the bump?? A pimple? After a peel pimples can definitely come UP to the surface quicker than usual. They are deep in the skin and as you remove layers they move up. Just use a drying lotion or Benzoyl to help that dry up fast. Do your next peel when your manual says you can. No sooner.
@@PlatinumSkinCare I did a peel TCA 13, 1 layer on Monday...then today the skin started coming off...I pulled off the skin and now there is redness on that place...it feels like an irritation... The redness also appears in the area where I did not touch my skin or did not pull off the skin....so is this redness temporary?
@@universeiseverything3391 A 1 layer TCA 13 is quite mild. Do not pull off any skin. Let it come off naturally and when you wash your face with a cloth. No scrubbing or tugging. If you remove skin before it is ready you will be dealing with overly sensitive, irritated and possibly pink skin. That can all lead to PIH. So just apply calming healing products like emu oil or essentials healing oil. Aquaphor would be ok as well VERY THIN.
Once a month at night fter shaving I have used an alpha peel followed by and left it over night with good results. This time I did the same thing but left the oil out. The next morning I just wet my face and applied a hydrant moisturizer as I have always done in the past. Two hours afterwards my face started to feel itchy by where I shave. I noticed that the skin by my cheeks started to break out and felt as if I got bitting by a mosquito and showed sighs of swelling. I took a a anti-histamine am slowly it stopped itchy and the break out seemed to decrease in size a bit. Second day 24 hours later I can still feel and notice that my break out has not disappeared yet. What should I do?
You "could" possibly. It may be too occlusive. I would really suggest something lighter like one of the oils we carry specifically for the job. They are anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.
Read read read and test on your arm for patch test before you do on your entire face if you want to do it at home yourself. Do not put too much if this is first time and mix with some water. Hyperpigmentation cause my skin worst than before and I regret doing it myself. 😢😢. I do not know if this hyperpigmentation going to be permanent . Just done this about 3 weeks ago and my skin is burnt leaving brown markings that doesn’t seem to go away
Hello. We do not know Whos peel, What % or how Wet ... how many Layers .. you applied. So please follow our instructions: If your skin is darker/ethnic/Fitzpatrick 4+ though, you must pretreat with a melanin inhibitor for 4+ weeks AND use a milder % than we normally recommend. Please see the following: www.platinumskincare.com/body-peels-which-acid-what-percentage-fitzpatrick/ and also: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peels-on-dark-skin/ and also: www.platinumskincare.com/so-you-ended-up-with-pih
You can continue to use hydroquinone immediately after rinsing and for the next 1-2 days. Once the skin dries though you can stop use. Start up again once flaking is done. Retinol can be used for 1-3 days after a TCA or jessners peel. We call this our Luminosity method -- and it is available on the corresponding peel pages.
@@PlatinumSkinCare I observed that my acne scars which are rolling scars....look more wider than before after using tca 20%peel....what can I do to remove them
@@keerthireddy8646 Rolling scars aren't really "easy" to treat. You can certainly do TCA peels - and that will aid in stimulating collagen and elastin in the skin. Over many months you should start to see some textural improvement. I would add on the SuperCop 2x as well each evening to encourage turnover.
We suggest a bit lighter. Try the 7% or a lactic peel. See here for lip peels: www.platinumskincare.com/lip-peel-treat-dark-lips-stimulate-collagen-and-fullness/
If you are left with red/pink marks after skin has been removed too early, you can get 1% hydrocortisone and start applying that every day. It will balance the skin's tone again. When that is even you can start peels again. This time... no picking.

Awesome! Thank you.
Thank you for your video . I ordered TCA 13% and 20% and I can’t wait to use it. Thank you your video.
Hope you enjoy it!
Excellent! Yes... now just imagine how much better things will be when you do an entire series of peels. Do 6-8 in a row.
@@PlatinumSkinCare I've purchased more to do a series, I'm assuming at least 4 weeks apart for each? I'm going to try to do a full 6 at least, and wear loads of sunscreen and hats this summer
@@lthomas8056 Yes for sure. See your manual for exact timings.
I love your new look!!!
Thank you! No more bleaching hair. LOL... Back to my natural hair color. learned my lesson the hard way. Just being super careful and never blow dry anymore. Oils and treatments and ... Ta-Da... what a change.
Great video! I'm obsessed with your products and education!
Thank you SO much! So glad to be helpful to you.
Then apply. Perfect!
Ok you look incredible in this video. Fantastic video as well.
Thank you so much!!!
Best advice i can give is patience. I went 5 days wirh nothing then bam. Love your video.
Great tip!
Loved this video. I just got my third peel and my skin feels tight and is definitely looking better. I loved all your tips, very helpful.

Hi Jeniffer,
You are doing wonderful job and your products are so amazing.

Hello maam ,I really love u ,,and respect alot ,,from india I had dark skin compare to my body which peel is good for me
Rinse peel. FB then Luminosity then healing oil (emu or essential healing blend.. or combo).
Next day am: wash then healing products and SPF
Next day pm: Wash then Luminosity and healing products.
Hi, is it ok if you dont use retina or retinol? I had extremely negative reactions to retina and retinol and I would rather not. Thanks
Absolutely. That is fine. The Luminosity simply speed up the peeling process a bit. I recommend keeping your skin moisturized with our Emu Oil or Healing Oil. You could apply a Glycolic Serum one time per day post peel if your skin reacts better to glycolic. Just a thought...
Can you just use a gentle cleanser before? And should you use acid toners? Thank you
You may use whatever cleanser you have - but you will need to be extra diligent with the Prep Solution or 90% alcohol to be sure all traces of product are removed.
Thanks❤
Welcome!
Is it safe to use moisturizer with Hyaluronic acid after using Platinum Skin Care 30% glycolic acid peel?
Absolutely. Hyaluronic will hold 1000x its own weight in water and that will make your skin feel less dry. Try to top that with an oil so you can seal that in as long as possible. Never forget your SPF when heading out as well.
I just did my first peel with your products❤️
I did a 20% and 3 layers, I am peeling and on day 5.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Are mineral sunscreens preferred after a peel, or does it not matter? I use the UVMune la Roche posay European sunscreen with the best filters, but not sure if it’s too harsh after a peel.
We always prefer a mineral SPF - but if you have another it is fine. It is Most important to just be using SPF 50. :)
Hi Platinum Skin Care Team,
I have ordered Fade bright and Retinol 20% from your site after seeing the PIH video.
Fade Bright first. Then follow with any serums, creams or oils. SPF is always last.
Is it good to put Retinol just after peel for peeling faster, or it is best to just moisturize after and peel slowly ?
We recommend applying our Luminosity Retinol Serum post peel. Also, keep the skin moisturized during the healing and peeling phase.
How soon after can I use Kojic acid soap on my skin after a 15% TCA peel?
Mz. Luscious I would go ahead and apply after washing your face with your soap AND stripping the skin with either out Prep solution or alcohol.
@@PlatinumSkinCare Thank you so much!
How tight your face feels and how much flaking you are going to get depends on what peel you used.
Hi I used other peel before at home. But never use TCA peels. What percentage you would recommend for the first Start with TCA peels. I have old acne scars.
We always suggest to start with 1 or 2 layers of the TCA 13%. If you are VERY sensitive then the 7% may be a better fit.
Hi can I apply tretinoin & hydroquinone after the peeling is done?
@@PlatinumSkinCare Thank you so much for your response! I enjoy watching all of your videos. They're very informative.

Fade Bright 2x per day SPF 50 during the day.
Can I apply your face cleanser and body wash just after peel and for 2 weeks till flaking. Some says not to use any cleanser or body wash ??
Certainly. You still need to wash your skin. Hydrate when you are done.

Love your products but I am stil confused about how often I should do my Mandelic peel? is it every 7-10 days ok after peeling? my skin didn’t really peels more like flaking , hard to see which is what I really wanted
Mandelic is very manageable. I suggest 1x every 2 weeks. Then you can do your peel one week and the next, use all of your daily treatments. :)
Hi, just want ask... how long I can't use my foundation ? Thanks
Yes, of course. I recommend using Fade Bright on the dark areas only 1 x per day.
If I haven't finished the all bottle bc I did only one layer for first time , can it be kept for another time, I mean what has been left and if it is allowed where to keep it ? thank you
Yes, absolutely. Simply put back in the box and save for your next peel.
Hey. Can I use a 2% salicylic acid toner a few day after the peel to help remove the skin faster?
You can certainly try it. There are many occassions where we recommend acid serums or creams or retinoids to help remove the skin more quickly. A toner may work just as well. Remember though, it if is too irritating, rinse it off and try again in a few days.
Can I use retina 0.05 to help with the peeling too?
Can I use the fade bright while my skin is peeling if I don’t have the other products?
Stop applying once the skin is rough and flaking. Things don't penetrate during this phase. When you are all done - then start up your normal regimen again.
Can I use glutaglow c serum after the tca peel at ni8
Hi can I use tattoo numbing cream for the tca chemical peel?
You sure can!
I did tca peel 25 % on my arms it took 2 weeks before it started peeling and it took 1 month before finish peeling bcos I did only 1 layer
Yes, that is perfectly normal. That is why we recommend only one peel on the body per month.
Platinum Skin Care ohk thanks alot
@@akosuah8858 You are very welcome.
Now how many times have u been used that to your arm? Does it work to lightening your arm?
Hey experienced peel user here and my skin has come a long way.
Amazing changes no doubt even my dark depressed scars are now skin colored and almost no more depressed zones.
Anyway I’m here because after a year of using tca sometimes weekly(yup weekly worked for me)
Im kind of concerned if I have made a mistake since I knew that tca was found to be cancerogenic (animal studies ik ) but still used it.

& Now that I think about it,we can eat huge quantities of some foods with no issues but that may be toxic to animals in minimal amounts.
I won’t be wondering about it anymore,thanks 😉👍

My self esteem tanked. I can’t tell if I’ve always been this ugly or if it’s bc I am doing a peel… *cries*
Thank you!

Once the skin is DONE flaking you can do your normal regimen. Always thin to thick. Fade Bright first then your C.

@@marlynramirez5253 :) excellent.
Do i have to avoid sun exposure for some many weeks before performing tca peel even if its on my body
Face = Mandelic 22 perfect!
Body - you will need to do the Jessners. I would do about 2 layers on the back. It won't phase her at all. :)
Can I use a chemical peel fan brush instead of gauze?

You will need to dilute the TCA 30 in half to a TCA 15. 1 part water to 1 part TCA 30 will bring it down to a TCA 15. You can certainly spot treat with TCA 15.
@@PlatinumSkinCare thank you. I used retinoids 0.1 yesterday. Can I use the TCA 15% today or should I wait!
Hi is shipping to morocco expensive ? How much does it cost ?
Shipping weights are what create the costs. With USPS I would say the average price for a 1lb package is around $13-17 for First Class Mail INternational. That can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks average. Express is another option that usually runs around $30+ dollars, and that will arrive much quicker. Generally within 1-2 weeks maximum. The best way to get your price is to add the item into the cart and go to your checkout. Put in your address and you will see the exact shipping options available to you in your location.
For my melanin inhibitor can I pretreat with hydroquinone 4%? For the two weeks. Also can I use retin A 0.1% after my peel to speed up the process?
Absolutely you can use your hydroquinone. Then, watch out for the retinA... it is the straight acid and can burn or be irritating. If it is - then rinse and try again in a few days. The benefit of retinol is that it isn't acid on the surface of the skin. It penetrates and gets converted in the deeper layers, so it isn't irritating.

Brandon Hanley hello. You do not want to jump from a Lactic glycolic 30% Peel to a 20% Tca.

I would like to do a series of monthly tca peels but I also microneedle once every two weeks. How can I do both since both require recovery time before anything else is done?
You want to wait 1 full week in-between peels and needling. So if I were you, I would do my needling ... then wait one week ... then do my TCA peel. Allow the skin to peel completely (about 10 days) and then wait 1 week. ... Now do your needling again and continue onwards. You will get to do each modality about 1x per month. That is OK though... it will work beautifully.

What should be the time gap between sessions of glycolic 50% peel
For sure 7 days. 7-14 is the most common ... as many like to use their daily products for a full week and alternate that with the peels.
I had a CO2 laser about three months ago, is this still safe? I don't have the money to buy all of the products you recommend can I use what I have
Are you trying to Prep? Or heal afterwards? Your normal Daily Regimen should include things like an acid cleanser or toner, a retinoid and SPF. These are mandatory minimums to prep that skin. If you already have some of those - then you are all set. See this video as well: www.platinumskincare.com/how-important-is-prepping-for-a-peel-simple-regimen/
Hi,
I had a few 10 percent salicylic acid peels lately in order to treat my PIH, but none of them got rid of the hyperpigmentation I have on my nose.

Hi can I use a salycilic acid face wash after a chemical peel?!
Generally speaking it is fine. This is a rinse-off formulation. I would not use any leave-on acids in any way though until the flaking has completed.
I just wonder why I do not have flaking at all? I used Glycolic acid peeling. Is it normal?
Hi there how is your mom now? Did the dark spots went away??
If I am using 10% salicylic acid peel on face hyperpigmentation without any melanin inhibiting product, do I have any chance of improvement or it will always keep darkening post peel -PIH.
Salicylic is a treatment for PIH - so you should get some improvement for sure. I would definitely begin using a melanin inhibitor daily as well though - and SPF 40-50.

Will peels help sagging neck skin to tighten
Hello there. I will say that TCA peels can help to stimulate collagen and elastin and this will definitely improve the texture and sturdiness of the skin. What it will not do is remove actual sagging skin. Unfortunately nothing topical can take the place of a surgical procedure. If it is mild enough.. then improvements will DEFINITELY happen. the SPF30 i use has a tan activating bronze, a melanin enhancer, is this safe to use after an TCA peel? (i actually dont mind my skin looker darker or bronze as long as its safe)
2willyboy a self tanner is just dying the outermost layer - not stimulating melanin. I wouldn’t suggest a self tanner though after any peel. It will take up to the drying skin and your color will be very uneven. Use a standard spf and save that for when your skin is all flaked off.
Can you use 30% on neck and chest?

@@PlatinumSkinCare thank you!
Imani Hunt you’re very welcome.
@@PlatinumSkinCare sure...will do the same❤️❤️
Once a month at night fter shaving I have used an alpha peel followed by and left it over night with good results.
Can I use shea butter after a peel?
You "could" possibly. It may be too occlusive. I would really suggest something lighter like one of the oils we carry specifically for the job. They are anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.
Can we put coconut oil on chemical peel
You may use whatever product you choose to calm and heal the skin after a peel.
So please follow our instructions:
If your skin is darker/ethnic/Fitzpatrick 4+ though, you must pretreat with a melanin inhibitor for 4+ weeks AND use a milder % than we normally recommend. Please see the following:

and also: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peels-on-dark-skin/

Same case with me...😢 plz tell me you recovered or not
My skin is dry and flaking
can I use hydroquinone and retinol after my peel?
Can i use tca 15 my lip
We suggest a bit lighter. Try the 7% or a lactic peel. See here for lip peels: www.platinumskincare.com/lip-peel-treat-dark-lips-stimulate-collagen-and-fullness/
Omg . I did pick my face and now is pink , I don’t k ow what to now do . Pls me help out me how and how can get it rid of this
If you are left with red/pink marks after skin has been removed too early, you can get 1% hydrocortisone and start applying that every day. It will balance the skin's tone again. When that is even you can start peels again. This time... no picking.
Platinum Skin Care Thank You Very Much!
