    THIS WORKS YOU GUYS!!! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 I’m 38 years old, I don’t have a ton of scars. But I do have a few icepick scars. I’ve been researching this for a year and I’ve heard several Drs. state that this procedure is only effective when using 65% TCA or higher. (Most using 80%).
    I’m obviously not a Dr.
    But I can tell you that stronger is absolutely not always better.
    Platinum Skincare taught me that early on and I’m soooo glad I listened because my results are incredible!!...
    I used 15% TCA for my face (4 layers) and followed that up with the Cross Method (30% TCA).
    I was done peeling by day 10 and I’m not even kidding you....some of my smaller scars have completely disappeared! The others (the deeper ones) are obviously still there (not for long). But I’ve seen a drastic improvement in those as well and I honestly just can’t friggin believe it!!!
    Seriously, if there’s anyone out there whose been pondering this, don’t wait a whole year like I did!! Do it NOW!!!
    You won’t be disappointed and this company’s incredible! They’ll not just walk you through the steps, they’ll hold your hand and they’ll do it ALL the way to the end.
    Platinum Skincare (Jennifer)...thank you, thank you, thank you!! I’m a PSC lifer. 🙏🏻💕😘🙌🏻
    PS. Just make sure you take before pics.I didn’t take any because honestly, I wasn’t expecting much...

      Platinum Skin Care I cant wait to do them again! I’m hooked!...In fact, not only am I using my phone alarm to count down the days, which btw is set every 4th & 5th week.....
      for the next 2 years! BUT, I’m seriously contemplating getting some sort of side hustle, to feed my new addiction. Nothing crazy; maybe Avon or something? Lol
      Anyways, thank you so much for everything!!

    OMG thank goodness I watched this video and bought my TCA cross kit from this company. I have some ice pick and box car scars and decided to try this method. The kit comes with a very detailed leaflet and the equipment (pipette, pot etc) that you need for the treatment. But as this company are responsible they do suggest you start with a weak acid solution so I have tried 3 layers of 13%..boy it burned like hellfire but this video gives you excellent advice on timings before wiping away with a wet cloth. Hi Dawn Lee, so I still have my scars...tbh don't think I will fully be rid of them unless I do some serious laser resurfacing. But not going down that road; tried it on my melasma and laser made it darker, but some ethnic skin can't take laser treatment. However a combo of tca peels and light dermaplaning has lightened my melasma. I would say my scars are 30% better but still visible..definitely recommend tca and light dermaplaning if you're doing these treatments at home. Good luck!

    I came up with an improvement regarding TCA Cross application. Toothpicks are great, but the tip is rather “chunky” compared to something like a fine-tipped needle.
    But using a needle to place droplets of TCA on your skin is NOT something you should do on yourself because you’re standing up and not lying down (as you would if a Dr was doing the procedure). Doing needle application on yourself involves too much risk of TCA dribbling down your face (bad). But the good thing about needle application is that the tip is very fine and the “barrel” of the syringe is chunky, so it’s easier to grasp and manipulate compared to a toothpick.
    What I did was combine the best of both. Take a 1ml syringe and remove the needle. Remove the “plunger”. Take a wooden toothpick and insert it tip first into the back end of the syringe. The wooden tip will stick out the end of the syringe (where the needle would normally be). Use the plunger to push and wedge the wooden toothpick firmly in place.
    Then take a scrap of sand paper and use it to make the wooden tip really sharp. Now, you have the perfect TCA application tool!

If you have white skin you can use the 30%. Either may leave some dark marks as the skin is preparing to flake/scab and turnover. Then it will return to normal coloring. I never had a picture - but the small icepick scars that I was demonstrating in the video were once dark, deep holes. I had treated them prior with a Tca Peel and noticed the holes filling in. 1) I was wondering if I need to do any prep. I am pretty light-skinned, but any other information would be welcome.
    2) What generic lotion is okay to apply after the treatment? How long should I wait before applying?
    3) I've heard that it often gets worse before it gets better. Is that accurate? I am willing to be patient but I would like good results. I recently turned 20 and my skin is pretty quick-healing. I just want to be as safe as possible since I cannot undo any damage.
    Thank you!

      Pre treat with Fade Bright if you have ethnic or a medium skin tone or darker.
      Post peel, I recommend our Emu Oil or our Essential Healing Oil. Sometimes I mix them both together and apply that way. :)
      An ice pick scar can sometimes look worse before it looks better because you are breaking down the scar tissue on the walls of the ice pick scar, so it can appear wider at first. This is where the nightly use of Super Cop 2x and Emu Oil or Healing Oil come in. Super Cop 2x is a skin remodeling cream and helps to further stimulate collagen and help fill in the scar. Consistency is key when working on scarring. Stick to a plan and you will see results.

      If you have some larger holes you can use a Qtip for application or our Cotton tipped Wooden picks here: www.platinumskincare.com/cotton-tipped-wood-picks/ *They are much smaller than a Qtip and may or may not be better for your scars. The KEY is to keep the acid INside the scar, not allover.
      Make sure to use SPF daily as well as a melanin inhibitor with darker skin types. This is imperative to help reduce the likeliness of PIH.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare

      First things first. The product that you use needs to be professional. We offer a fully CERTIFIED peel from our establishment. If you purchase something off Ebay for example, it is most definitely not a professional formulation. That means that the percentage, acid pH and additives are not regulated. It could be anything in there - and it could be harmful. We obviously prefer you purchase your peel from us here: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-13-20-30/ ... but if you have another brand that you trust, then by all means shop where you prefer.

    Thank you for this video. I have a question, instead of allowing a scab to form, could you apply aquaphor/Vaseline/hydrocolloid bandaid to the treated area instead? That way it would simulate a moist healing environment that theoretically heal quicker? If so, when would be the appropriate time to apply bandage/Vaseline-day 1? 2, 3? My reason for asking is because the idea of having a scab on my face isn’t bad, but the fact that wearing face masks all the time puts me at risk for it prematurely ripping a scab off by the friction on my face. Any help would be greatly appreciate!!

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  3 роки тому +2

      A scab is going to form no matter what. It is deep in the scar and won't just fall off or rip off. This isn't like a body wound where you skinned a knee. It isn't stretching. Healing products you have are just perfect. Go right ahead.

    Because it's so much,and ontop of each other,giving it a really rough uneven texture, with no normal skin in between
    its difficult to see what type it is ,and if it requires cross painting,or toothpick or something else?
    I feel like I'm on the beach , and have to pick up each grain with a tweezer,really daunting 😰

      The easiest thing would just be to start a series of 13% TCA peels on your entire face. Get comfortable with that and they WILL help all scarring. Just more subtle than a CROSS method. When you are feeling more comfortable... get a 5ml vial of the TCA 30 (white skin) or the 20 (ethnic skin) and start using that 1x every 5 weeks IN the scar. You apply that with a wooden pick. **Always pretreat with a melanin inhibitor before strong peels if your skin is ethnic.

    TCA peel could cause hyperpigmentation that last for a long time😢. I am using retinol from cerave, ascorbic vitamin c and niacinamide from ordinary and seen my skin texture inproves alot over just a couple of months of usage. Think 100x before getting strong peel like tca which would cause you deeply scarred for life. Tis is my honest thought and I could be one in 10 or 100 who is very unhappy with tca 🥵😥😫

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  Рік тому +1

      You are correct! You need to learn all about the acid prior to just applying this. We have peeluniversity.com to teach you all about your skin and how to properly prep for a chemical peel. *Example, anyone that is prone to pigmentation, or anyone with Olive or darker skin MUST prep with a melanin inhibitor for 4+ weeks before using TCA.
      Then again, TCA isn't always the natural "first step" for a peel. Usually something like a Glycolic 30 or Mandelic 40 are better options (both stronger than the product you are using - that isn't a peel - the pH is far far too high). Then, when you are starting with TCA you want to choose a 7% or 13% at about 2 layers and work up in layers each month when you do your peel. NO rushing.
      The CROSS method is done with a higher % of TCA - but it is not meant for allover the face. This is only applied INSIDE of a depressed scar. Very different than a face peel. Please let us know if you have a question regarding the proper use of acid peels in the future.

    Can we do TCA cross for all type of Acne Scars????

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  3 роки тому

      CROSS is for a depressed scar or even a boxcar scar (group of depressed scars). It isn't effective for a rolling scar. A general TCA peel could be helpful for that though.

      A collagen cream can be used for moisturizing only. Collagen is too large a particle to penetrate into the skin. .

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  8 місяців тому +1

      Hello. We do not recommend TCA 50 at home. We recommend the 30% for most and lesser for darker skin types. 50% is Extremely strong. You will most likely have a lot more down-time with this. Remember though ... the CROSS has a 5 week healing period. Just because the scabs are OFF ... does not mean you are done. Mark your calendar and in 5 weeks you can judge what that peel has achieved for you.

    great info... how long do you leave the TCA (100%) on skin after application?

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  Рік тому +1

      We do NOT recommend the use of (or even touching) of TCA 100. We are using a 30% - which is still VERY strong. Causes instant frosting. With that it is 5 minutes. I highly suggest that you Dilute that down to a more manageable percentage. Here is a dilution chart:
      TCA 100:
      1 part 100 + 3 parts water = 25
      1 part 100 + 4 parts water = 20
      1 part 100 + 5 parts water = 16
      1 part 100 + 7 parts water = 12.5

      there would be no reason to apply pressure with a wooden pick (that is to help break down scar tissues), but you could certainly use a higher percentage on the interior of deeper lines.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  5 років тому +4

      It takes about 4-5 treatments to really get the scars to be gone (mostly gone). I have treated them maybe 1 other time over the years with the CROSS method and other than that - just by using TCA peels and allowing the acid to get into the holes. It is pretty hard to get them to show up on camera as they just look like a large pore now. .... I am looking into a mirror right now and can't even SEE where they were. wow... I haven't really checked them out recently. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. There was a time - many years ago when we first started making the TCA - that these were just super deep (non-ending) dark holes.... and now I can't even find them. I wish I had a picture before I ever did a peel - that would for sure be a testimonial to the power of TCA peels. Darn..

      Make sure to talk with your doctor if you have any new skin growths! If you have already been diagnosed, here is some information to help you with your removal process.
      "Syringomas are small benign tumors. They are usually found on your upper cheeks and lower eyelids. Though rare, they may also occur on your chest, abdomen, or genitals. These harmless growths result when the cells from your sweat glands are overactive. They usually begin to develop in young adulthood but can occur at any age".(1)
      They are quite small at around 1-3 mm. They can match your skin tone or can be on the yellow spectrum. They are not harmful, but most people want them removed to feel better about themselves.
      There are a few popular ways to treat these:
      TCA peel. A small drop on the tumor can help it to dry up and fall off. We suggest the 30% for this if you have very white skin. If you are ethnic toned please use the 20% or even the 13% and pretreat with Fade Bright to help prevent unintended coloring of the skin. Use a cotton tipped pick, or a small Q-tip with most of the cotton removed to get a precise application.
      Surgical removal.
      Laser treatment.
      Cauterization.
      Cryotherapy.
      Dermabrasion *not microdermabrasion

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  4 роки тому +1

      The CROSS method in a medical facility can be done with a 70 or 80% TCA. That is NOT ... absolutely NOT something you should be doing at home. One drop on normal skin can cause scarring. We like the 30% for home use. Dip the wood pick into the solution - tap sides and apply INside the scar *while pressing a bit. This can be done 1x every 5 weeks.

    • @PlatinumSkinCare
      @PlatinumSkinCare  2 роки тому

      You want to let this heal for a good week or more before you start adding any treatments on. The Fade Bright probably isn't needed immediately after a peel. It is more of a Prep to help prevent PIH.
