    Miranda I am so happy to see that you were able to bend the tools. I have a visual impairment with depth perception. Making dots is a real challenge for me to see how close I am to touching the surface when I make a dot. Bending the tool is WOW amazing .. ty for thinking of it!

      Also in painting you can do that with a brush and we call it Plop and Pull

      haha...plop and pull!! that is great! I love it!
      I am so pleased you are able to see better with the tools angled. I cannot take all the credit for it. I copied Princeton's angle spot detailer and thought I could do it with the dotting tools too. Some of them broke...but that became my "etcher" Lol

      Yes! It sure is. I know you use many of those Princeton brushes so I thought I'd share that DickBlick.com has them for less than $4.00 each .. and they have good prices on Golden acrylics and Liquitex. They don't run specials all the time but do occasionally and I've gotten free shipping with them.

    Hello saw your videos and by the way your tutorials are very informative . I recently started dotting and my walking dots don’t walk the curve of my center dots like what I see in practically all the tutorials. Mine never make it to the bottom and the pattern ends up looking like a zig zag if you know what I mean. Are there tips to walking the dots like when painting a peacock feather style? Thanks in advance for your response .

    • @MirandaPitrone
      @MirandaPitrone  2 роки тому +1

      I am wondering if you may need to dip your tool again to get the paint to go further or is it the alignment of multiple rows. The paint thickness will also affect how many dota you can make with one paint dip. If you are on Facebook you could send me a quick video on the messenger and I could take a look for you if you would like.

    • @sandyscholz4390
      @sandyscholz4390 Рік тому

      @@MirandaPitrone Thank you for sharing the video. I think its a combination of both paint consistency and alignment. I've used one of those precut stencil and even with that my first row of dots are not completely equal. no worries though lol, I work as an ICU nurse and found that this calms me down after I leave the hospital...some of what I've painted so far I've given to patients who are awake and just happy the don't need life support anymore. they don't care if the stones are perfect, they are just thankful.

    • @MirandaPitrone

      Just push more in the beginning of the swipe then you do at the end and it should give you a nice shape. Your paint also has to be a little thinner :)

    Thank you for showing this technique so clearly. Question: Are you touching the surface with the tool? I know for dots, you just touch the surface with the paint, but it looks like you might be dragging the tool lightly along the surface. (I hope that makes sense!)

Having problems with elbows wrist's have rheumatoid nodules now as well as swelling in fingers and hands doctor doesn't know even after doing the infusions if the nodules will ever go away. Causes nerve pain all the way to my hands why i still haven't been able to dot yet. Still very miserable can't hardly do anything. Glad you have a helper today. What a cutie pie. Sweet voice. Miranda Pitrone yes it's been quite a ride started with cellulitis with huge blisters on my legs had to stop arthritis meds lowers your immune system so made my arthritis go rampid. Took 3 months to clear infection on my legs so no meds all that time. Every joint was affected. So went through 24/7 pain. Pray everyday for healing finally this week was released from wound therapy for my legs. All healed up. Now trying new infusion plus methotrexate been on 35 years or more. Its a cancer drug get a shot every week plus 2 other pills for it. But can't wait till I can start dotting and start coloring again. Makes me forget about everything going on. You sure are so so talented love to tell you how awesome your work is because its so true.😃 ❤😎
