Marinda love your videos, you're such a good teacher.... This is the first time I've done mandalas, and am throughly enjoying😊Just got back from Walmart with "16 L wrenches for1.98" they are Great!!!!!! Like the curved brush, but in various sizes they allow you to see exactly where you are placing the dot.....They are 6 sided, but they make a circle once the have enough paint on the end...I am amazed at how uniform the dots are!!! Thanks so much for all the time and knowledge you share.....Lovely!!!🌻
Where do people get nice flat black rocks? I have gone to a few landscaping places around and have not found good rocks for painting! You are very talented Miranda. Love your work!
I have just tried dotting with my set of brushes and sooo much easier than the dotting tools! I suppose each tool has its purpose, but your brush method is generally much better! Thank you for sharing!!
Miranda, have you tried a short bristle script liner brush for your lines? Super thin and so easy to use. You might want to check that brush out. It's one of my favorites for lines like you do on this demo.
Really beautiful tutorial! Your voice is the equivalent to the voice of the oil painter...slow, soothing voice! Loved watching ...excellent tutorial and dragonflies just happen to be my favorite! Can’t wait to try this method of Mandala painting on rocks! Thank you for teaching us! I look forward to seeing more videos from you, like this!
Thank you so much!! I am so pleased you enjoyed this!! It really is my pleasure to create these and share. Do you mean "Bob Ross" Voice? haha I have had other people tell me that too! :)
Miranda Pitrone , I’m much much older than you, I grew up watching Bob Ross on public television. That was back in the day of roof top antenna’s and only three major channels. 😂 LOL . Great video
I can't believe I haven't found you sooner! This is simply beautiful. I can't believe you did all that with 1 tool..I think I read in a previous msg that you're grom Maine...small world. Im going to try my hand at this Mandala art, we'll see. Thanks for your great tutorial!
I am from New England!! Where are you from? You know my maiden name is BICKFORD too? That is so funny. I hope you enjoy the mandalas! They are so relaxing for me and a lot of fun as well.
Sleepless nights I so enjoy your demonstrations of a very meditative art form. I purchased some tools and paint. Practice is disappointing, paint texture ect. Novice entranced by simplicity! Your work is exquisite!😇💘
Thank you so much for your kind words. Please don't be disheartened by practice. You're absolutely right pink texture plays a huge part. It has to be a little bit thinner and the dots will basically form themselves. Then it's up to you just to do spacing. Some people find help from guidelines or stencils to start out. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I just ordered the metallic paints from Amazon today. They are very pretty. I understand the obsession! You are teaching me so much. I’m having a great time creating mandalas. Once again, thank you.
Thank you so much for your patience and soft voice. Learning from your style and bought the tools and paints you recommended. Hope to dot rock paint as good as you.
I really appreciate how you explain everything. I'm new to this and I absolutely love it. Thanks to people like you sharing your knowledge we are able to learn. Take care and God bless you 😊
Thank U so very much for making this Mandala so simply & easy & W/Out lines. I always feel like I'm a failure when I can't get mine to stay W/In the lines & I've tried 4 & 5 times starting over & over again trying to have mine look a little bit like the ones that they R making & only to be so disappointed & very unhappy in the end. U'r an AMAZING WOMEN & I can't THANK U enough for helping me to see that I can do these crazy MANDALA's that have gripped my heart. I'd love to learn how to create my own, but I don't have a clue how to go about starting. I look forward to seeing more of Ur's done W/Out lines either on rocks/canvas/ or wood.
I am not the best at using guidelines either...I need to be free..haha. you got this...many of mine are with out guidelines...I hope you enjoy them as much as you did this one💚💜💙🍃
Thank you sooooo much for showing the lines to draw. I've surching the hole net to find this special Art. Karin Getaz use this for her stones etc. also. Now I'm a little wiser today 😄 Have a great time and a lot of fun during your painting 🤗💚
I have been painting these for a long time, but I think they add to the dot art. I looked up Karin Getaz. Her work is gorgeous! I am so happy you found this helpful
Miranda Pitrone, yes, I do 😄 This work is no work, it's art and it came with much of magic from the universe to us. We are just the creature and pass it on to others as a gift 🎨🖌🖼😏🤗💜
I always hold my breath when you get close to the edge!! Where do you get your rocks? (If you live in the West, I know they're in your back yard. But I'm on the East Coast & rocks are hard to come by!!)
I still sometimes hold my breath tooo :) I grew up on the East coast...but way up north. Maine has great rocks NH too. But now I live on Lake Erie, lots here. Also the rivers have a bunch.
It is an angled paintbrush. I sell them in my shop< www.etsy.com/listing/658723071/angled-spot-detailer-brush-bent-brush?SellerListingTools&Share&Raw&share_time=1548787742000&.slt
I usually do Not design them...I start will a color palette that I want to paint with, begin in the center and then work my way out adding dots as the space allows💖 If you are looking for a more structured time painting, there are many stencils on the market for guides. Some people find it helpful to place guidelines down before they begin.💖
I love both of the designs. The “S” remided me of a octopus tentacle 🐙 and is fabulous. Thsnk you for sharing your work and techniques. Your videos are wonderful!
Like your video I know what you mean by mattalic I get in to a mode where I want everything shinney I love the copper look and how your working up to it
Hello Miranda - beautiful job! Question: your brush appears to have an angled ferrule. What is the brush called and where do you get it? I have not seen any like that. Thank you!
Hello~ It is called an angle spot detailer from Princeton. They are available direct from the company, Amazon, or other online art outlets. Thank you for your kind words. Have a lovely day!
It’s relaxing to listen and watch. Thank you.
Thank u so much for this design...i tried with whatever tools and colours i had it turned out to be beautiful
Thank you!! This is one of my favorite stones. The greens and the pattern came together so nicely. I am so happy you liked it too! :)

Somedays...(too much coffee) I paint two handed :)
I just have to remind myself to take my time :)
@@MirandaPitrone ❤ Hmmm you could be right about the coffee. Why didn't I think of that?
That's really beautiful I want to learn how to do that

Hello, I live in England. Can I get the brushes you are using and paints like that here?
My husband is going to kill me if I take on one more craft! I will take my chances, lol. This is so pretty and I can't help myself.
I really appreciate listening to you as you design. It helps me understand the design thought process. 😊

fantastic! I love your artwork. I wonder what kind of curved brush you are using?
Thank you kindly! The brush link is in the video description :)
Which base u use for mandala? Its a stone or marble?
Beautiful tutorial❤️ I was wondering if you thinned your paint with anything? Thank you!
HI :) I do not thin my paint at all. I usually use Decoart which is the perfect consistency for me to use for painting dots.
I love the simplicity of using a brush and not a bunch of circled tools. But, that must take much practice.
It does but I promise it is not impossible :)
Awesome job. Watched the whole video and was so soothing to the eye.
