Van Morrison is absolutely incredible. This song may be my favorite. When I was pregnant 18 years ago, I played this song everyday to soothe my nerves and after my son was born, this album was played everyday while he slept so peacefully. I will never get enough!

Beautiful variations on the melody. No exaggeration to call Van a one-off musical genius. Astral Weeks, Veedon Fleece, Moondance, His band and the street choir all great albums. The man is a gift from the musical gods.

Always wondered how he recreated this album. I heard, from Lester Bangs, he had a host of Jazz musicians on the production of the actual song, he does a great job here, just guitar and voice. Wow, truly impressed, such a beautiful song.

I've spent nearly two decades collecting music like this. Sometimes the quality is really good as with this one, sometimes, it's not very good but yet good enough to hear and appreciate the artistry and musicianship and the experience of the performance. Still doesnt beat being there....

John Platania played guitar for Van through that time but I couldn't say if that is who is on this with Van.
