Next time make sure the questions are somewhat serious and not sterotypical, these questions made me lose braincells especially compared to the white one.
can y’all make sure these questions aren’t as stereotypical as they were in this. thanks. it’s really ignorant.
?
Dont thank people for watching for "black history month" 2 years later. You guys should be embarassed how ridiculous these questions were and this is not a representation of black people.
Can we get a redo video?
“I’ve never really had it so..”
*5 second silence”
“..y..you’ve never had fried chicken??” 😂😂😂
Lola James I was dying
Lola James I have a sensitive stomach. Fried food makes me sick. I haven’t had it since I was like seven. So yes, I have had it in the entirety of my life. And my exact words “I don’t eat it.” As in the present tense.
Sabrina Johnson people don’t pay enough attention to what people are saying!
she said she never eats it
If you don't love fried chicken you ain't black
The “do all white people think the same” had a lot more serious questions, it would have been nice to see those kinds of questions in this video.
completely agree
“I am proud to be black” - Everyone agrees
“I am proud to be white” - No one really agrees, ‘i aM pRoUD oF mY aChiEvEmENts i diDnT dO anYtHinG tO bE WhiTe’
Joel Miller that question stood out to me. But at the same time that guys response really puts into perspective that living black carries some level of achievement. It’s almost like saying you have achieved what you have IN SPITE of some level of systemic oppression. Like saying I’m a Neurosurgeon is an achievement ... but saying I’m an African American NeuroSurgeon just hits differently bc it implies I have achieved what I have achieved with the wind against me, not on my back. And in that, having understood that reality (which is more condemning of our society than it is any individual), we as black ppl will always have commonality and some level of respect for one another bc we are proud of who we have become in the face of these struggles.
So really, that white guys statement in the previous video... I felt that. I felt that bc I get it and I think he gets it.
I mean, this is the first episode
They need black people to make the questions
No. No two people ever see things 100% the same.

Exactly how I felt
They really had a whole conversation if kanye is in a cookout
It probably was cause this is their first episode so they were still figuring out what to do with this idea
@@ZumbieGuy I mean, dreads are no way directly from African roots. Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Middle Easterns, Native Americans, etc. have all been recorded in history for having dread locks.

@@CosmosGatito what does it mean to be in a cookout, what is a cookout??
@@Matheus_Braz a cookout is basically an informal, pseudo-intimate get-together in urban american black culture wherein various meats are grilled and the majority of 2 or more families are gathered together. it's kind of meme status online but it's an actual thing that goes on regularly during the spring/summer. if you're not invited to the cookout, it's basically a marker for disdain from someone(s) involved with it. if you are invited, it's basically a symbol of honor, especially if you're white, asian, hispanic, etc etc.
@@CosmosGatito its like a barbecue?
@@Matheus_Braz fundamentally, yes.
Duuuude, I just came from the white people video and it's already a whole different mood 10 seconds in. Why are white people so awkward with each other?
Charonee Shay because they are scare of saying something “wrong” they will get oppressed and people will say they are racist for everything they say. Black people “can’t say anything wrong”, black people are “not racist” even tho a lot of black people are racist
Because the questions were more controversial. If they expressed the “wrong opinion” they would get a lot of backlash. Like even saying you’re proud to be white was a controversial statement.
Because reverse racism, which is just racism btw, is real. That's why.
Sjw probably make things worse than that.
I'd say it's a few things.
1.The fact that you don't just immediately relate to someone because their white, there really isn't much in common cause there's a lot of different cultures that are considered white who have nothing in common. On the other hand, most black people have at least one or two things they can immediately find in common because of their culture, also, most black people are usually hype af.
2. The fact that they have to watch what they say, they are privileged and their every move is being monitored. Is it fair? Of course not. They're paying for the sins of their ancestors and all the other racists who are white. Yes, they are profiled for being white the same way black people are profiled.
" Hair is a hair, no race should own a hairstyle." Love that
@Blue Plumbob in that case white people also had dreads in the past. Most likely not as common but they still did
@Blue Plumbob but it's hardly cultural significant tho. Stuff like fashion, food, rituals, and traditions are important and interesting, not to mention actually exclusive. Even ancient Greeks had dreads lol, it's only associated with certain cultures because of media.

@@rachellegoodwin4868 they were all stereotypical questions to be fair
They have a guideline to follow
You guys should re do this video. When you did the “do all white people think the same” video you gave them a lot of thought provoking questions but you gave the black people questions like “do you like fried chicken” why do feel black people are incapable of having the same intellectual conversations that their white counterparts had?
Madison Jones this!!!!!
agree
WELLLLLLLLLL
yes!!!
I agree, but I do think the reason was because these questions were more about black culture.. White people don't have a culture lol so they couldn't have given like fun questions to them, because they literally don't have any specific things in common
With the whole dread thing I want to point something out.
I'm white, I can wear 'dreadlocks'. In my culture, I'm Norwegian, they were popular. I greq up surrounded by specific Norwegian culture in my family, like my dads strongly religious and all.. Now I wouldn't wear my hair like that just to claim a culture or to say 'yah but my ancestors did too technically' it'snot about any of that. I would wear my heair that way to APPRECIATE the culture of it. I'm growing my hair out so that I have the ability to do it because I've never been able to. Point is, there's a difference between appropriation and appreciation. And with that, you need to unsderstand what culture you're appreciating.
Dreads were most likely initially a Hindu thing before being an African thing, nor has it ever at any point in history been a "black" only thing. It's not appropriating for any any race to wear dreads.
All cultures have hair styles that are similar and different but gate keeping hairstyles is useless and just divides us more instead of sharing
This is so surface level and stereotypical.
Lol

Yeah, being the lightest black person in the room IS always hella uncomfortable, even tho' it's acknowledged that you're still part of the fam... In a lot of cases, you feel the need to either disappear, or more commonly "outblack" everybody just to be taken seriously.
I feel insulted as a black person watching this. I truly thought they were going to ask some deep questions. I guess this what what they think all black people think about..
This video was not meant to solve and issues. They were not going to accomplish that goal in the time that was allotted. These were basic questions and there were varying responses.

i agree, i am biracial. these questions are so stereotypical and not at all serious or in dept.

"White people are accepted like visa"

False* words
I just came from the white version of this video
This whole video feels different it's like everybody here already knows eachother in the white version they were super arkward
KBTruth Also, everyone is proud of their race but in the white one almost everyone said they aren’t proud of being white
I noticed too. I think it's very much about guilt. Entering a racial conversation as a white person, one carries a horrible history of discrimination (to say the least) imposed by their race - no wonder they cannot be cheerful and proud. White people before them have historically been "too" proud. A black person, on the other hand, is essentially viewing their racial history as one of overcoming victimhood - that is a past to be proud about. I think the different vibe of the videos absolutely makes sense, and I also find the production likely had the same in mind when crafting the questions/
I’m proud of being white!! I’m not apologizing for things I had no control over nor would I apologize to people it doesn’t effect if I had. Democrats are responsible for oppression of black people.

yea, but bro Adib never experienced cultured American racism.
Yeah. So true. I'm black and I don't buy this "collective thinking" stuff; because of skin color. They expect everyone to have the same political ideologies, values, beliefs, preferences etc. I don't believe only white people can be racist. I think racism is racism.

Gabriel Gomez that one sounds interesting
You can't because there are alot of different types of Hispanics to cover

You should put black Africans & black Americans and do this kind of video again.
There are a lot of different perspectives of blackness from the continent.
leondelafonte some of these people were either black Africans and black African Americans. Adib looks visibly East African and I’m pretty sure Efa is Nigerian
That would have been extremely awkward lol. Africans tend to strongly dislike African Americans.

@@flooow3409 facts. I wanted to hear the same type of questions that the white people video had.
the questions on the white video were made to catch them being racist...... like the "do you say the n- word when you are alone?" and "do white people have culture"question as if that helps in any way the conversation.
I'm not saying that they didn't ask enough serious questions in the episode, but they usually start of the episode with a not so serious question. Maybe to break the ice a bit.
When the first prompt was "i enjoy fried chicken" i couldnt take this serious...
They should have added “There is nothing wrong with white people saying the N word” and then casually watch everyone go to the disagree columns and express their thoughts
I'm African-American... But I don't think anyone should say it, not even blacks bc it was made to put people down. People say it, but I don't. We tried to make it positive, but some things people just shouldn't say at all...

To be fair part of the point is that a lot of people assume all black people are the same, and this creates a scenario where they’re all similar in age, location, and race, but still have quite different beliefs and opinion, and therefore that race doesn’t define someone
