  • The BULLS COPPERHEAD EVO AM 4 750 is an all-mountain ebike with 150mm air suspension from SR Suntour, available in four frame sizes, unique mullet wheel setup. That means it has a 29" wheel in the front to help overcome obstacles and 27.5" wheel in the back for strength and quickness. High capacity Bosch PowerTube 750 with Smart System Performance Line CX motor, LED remote, and excellent smartphone app. Plus sized 2.6" wide tires balance precision with float and stability. You get increased traction, reduced deflection, and improved comfort that aligns perfectly with the taller 29" front wheel. Wider Boost hub spacing and 15mm and 12mm thru-axles improve stiffness and wheel strength. Unique dropper seat post from Limotech incorporates a bit of suspension for added comfort. Hydraulic disc brakes with large 203mm rotors provide good stopping power and cooling. Wide 11-46 tooth 10-speed cassette provides good climbing ability and comfortable high-speed cadence. Narrow-wide chainring and plastic guide reduce drops. The bike is fairly heavy at 60.9lbs due to the high capacity 9.4lb battery pack, long travel suspension, and plus sized tires. No charging on the Bosch LED remote button pad despite having a USB-C port for diagnostics. Excellent position for charge port high on left side of the frame.

      It's $4k now, but that's still a great deal. Like most other bike companies, they made too many because they thought the bike boom would continue

    Outstanding. I recently purchased a TriAir3 shock, for the Estream 29. Like-it better than the stock shock. Suntour gets a bad-rep, because it's...affordable. And affordability, for those that gawk at UA-cam MTB videos, is not an option. If it's below $5K on UA-cam, it's not worthy. And Suntour suspension, gives Fox, Cane Creek, and DVO, satisfying competition.

    Fucking hell. That mounting point should be standard solution for all bikes ever built. It's such a good idea, I can't stress it enough. IQ 1000 move.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, it’s a good spot. I think there are a handful of aftermarket mounts that can replace any stem cap so you can put a phone or camera or cycle computer there. The only downside with a phone is having to use their special case… and there are so many phone sizes out there. It then takes the place of your standard case or battery backpack case. I feel mixed about that, but the mounting point itself is pretty great :)

      My LBS recommended the SP Connect system to me back in 2020. I've been using their phone cases and mounts ever since then. The attachment method is rock solid.

      In todays money that is 17k4, with a current average car of 48k you can buy 3 of these or a car 🙂
      Inflation is a kind of "slow" but deathly metric, certainly agree (If spend 100 years ago, prob. could have bought a house with it)

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  Рік тому +3

      Governments around the world slowly steal time and value by inflating the money supply, and that money goes to the well connected. It’s called the Cantillon Effect. This is why many people invest in houses, stocks, and why Bitcoin was invented in 2008 after the banks were bailed out. Our time is finite, scarce. Money should reflect that scarcity so that when we save and delay gratification, we are able to recoup the time we spent earning. Scarce and strict money would cut down on wars, unpopular social programs, and would empower individuals to create.

    According to published specs the battery is actually 724WH. So it should be listed as a 725WH battery.
    Just sayin'. 😮😊😊

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  Рік тому

      I go back and forth on this, and have raised it to Bosch reps. The voltage times amp hours should equal watt hours. I was told something like the actual voltage is higher, like 37v and the watt hours they advertise are actually conservative. It seems like they choose round numbers. Same with Yamaha, I think their battery is 504wh but they call it 500 to make it easy to say and remember. Im not an expert in this, just sharing what I’ve noticed and heard on occasion.

    • @ericknighton7881
      @ericknighton7881 Рік тому

      It’s a call back to engine cc sizes where if you have a 725 cc engine, it’s listed as a 750. It’s pretty standard for motorcycles and car engines.

Look ma, no kickstand or charge point or lights and smaller battery also. For sure it's a bit of extravagance and requires a bit of brain-washing to justify. Like the 2 different tire sizes, sales pitch.

      It performed well for me. I realize that SR Suntour is generally regarded as lower quality than Fox and RockShox, but Chris said this was some of their highest specced hardware. Have you had issues with this particular fork and rear shock?

    • @ericknighton7881
      @ericknighton7881 Рік тому +1

      The prices of e bikes are very competitive as there is a lot of competition out there and this one aligns perfectly with what your getting for the money. People like e bikes like these because you can bomb the hills 5X as many times as you can with a non motorized bike, and you can still walk after you do it.
