    Talk about extremes - from the Jetson Bolt to this! I enjoyed learning about that unique "mullet" tire set-up. Cool high-end tech to look at as well.

    For what it's actually designed for, it likely has a lot of value....but 6K is a lot of American Freedom Eagles for any e-bike.

      Yeah, I always get that feeling when looking at the higher end ebikes... I think BULLS and CUBE are actually the more affordable of the Bosch powered bunch. This type of bike, all mountain with decent full suspension, in four frame sizes with hydraulic disc brakes, is always going to come at a price premium. It probably doesn't sell in high volume like the hybrid and city models :)

      Have you seen what mountain bikes are going for at your local dealer? Trek and specialized are selling mountain bikes for 8-12k.

      I dunno, I hear that a lot, but when I look at some of the more affordable bikes... I am not impressed with the quality of components or construction. Friends who went with more cost effective bikes are having some regrets. I am buying an ebike to fill in for a car, so the higher cost is going to be necessary. Not that 6 Grand wouldn't hurt my finances, it would - but so would buying a bike I may need to replace after four years. All depends on what a rider is looking for.

      Not a cheap hobby for sure. A similar entry level, I know but it is, emtb was closer to $4k before covid.

    The bike in this review is now $3k over at the bulls website. $3000 dollars sort of makes it worth it.

    Does this bike have a top speed? I have an diamondback union and it maxes out at 28 mph and won’t let you go faster while the electric motor is engaged

    Have a Bulls EBike with about 4,000 miles on it. Over all I like the bike yet hate the suntour front shock it came with. Thinking Riese & Muller for my next ebike. Hoping Bulls steps up their game in regards to components. Sorry to see their still using SunTour Junk on a $6k Ebike.
    Thanks for the review.

      I wasn't super impressed with the fork on this model. SR Suntour has some good stuff, but this one felt stiff and heavy. It was a demo bike and didn't quite match the "final specs" that BULLS provided, so I didn't want to over-emphasize that drawback in case the final shock is different. I really appreciate your input Tom, since it sounds like you have a model with a fork that also seems a bit underwhelming.

    For 6k a suntour shock in the front? Thats not ok. I think 750wh is too much weight imo. Two 500 wh are more appealing to me. I guess this bike is a suv. Not a bikepark fully. Which would explain the set up.

      I agree with everything you wrote, it gave me the same feeling... and I'm just not into the heavier packs (even PowerTube 500 vs. the older plastic PowerPack 500 that weighed a lot less).

      @@ElectricBikeReview i ride a Stevens ebike with powerpack 400. Which was always enough for commuting and everything i did. My ebike weighs 20 kg. I dont want a heavier ebike even if its a fully. But im pretty sure my next ebike will be a Bosch cx 4th gen.

    Please optimize your video files. T-Mobile is always throttling YT videos. Maybe you could save using HEVC MP4s.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  2 роки тому +1

      Interesting, I thought UA-cam automatically optimized when uploading. Mine are HD, not even 4k, so they should be the same size as other people. Do you mean to suggest that I should shorten them so there is less to load?

    • @HullioGQ
      @HullioGQ 2 роки тому

      @@ElectricBikeReview you can check how optimized they are when you download it back to your PC. A well optimized video before upload to YT is better and runs better on slower connections. Ex. 1080p saved in x.265 yields a much smaller file to one saved in x.264

    Hi, friends. It looks like neither the web review nor this YT review indicates whether this ebike meets UL 2849 or EN 15194 certification. Given the July 15th NBDA statement to retailers and the industry, you really need to indicate which bikes meet UL standards or any European standards (which I gather are evolving). Really. It doesn't take much, and you'll be serving your viewers/readers better.

    The chain is slapping and hitting the chainstay a lot because the shimano clutch is in the OFF position 🤦‍♂

      @ElectricBikeReview  2 роки тому +1

      I saw that, it was shipped to me with lots of chips and I wanted to point it out. I didn't engage the clutch during the video walkthrough because it was balanced precariously and I didn't want it to tip over :P

    If ya paid $6K, for the Copperhead 1, ya paid way-to-much. Pricing does depend on geography & what stores rip-ya-off for a large profit. MY GF, recently acquired the Estream AM2, for $4700 USD. Took a-lot of searching & e-mails & phone calls. Some haggling. And now (her money), has a e-bike on-the-way. The Bosch smart system, is not all glorious as reviewers that receive the product for a day or two of testing, plaster UA-cam with. Save-your-cash. Ya don't need it. And if you're like me awaiting a bantam-weight battery...hold-off for a year unless ya don't mind shelling out thousands for a bike. Rechargeable cells are about to get much lighter. And remember: e-bikes are not as popular as UA-cam, makes'em out to be. Most postings are from those that "Test," the product for a day or a week. It's a grandiose commercial. There exists extremely few videos of actual owners with mega-priced bicycles.

      For me, the weight associated with the Bosch Smart System setup is a bit of a turn off. I like the integration, the creative setup here from BULLS, but there are many different ways to approach something like this. Sure, a DIY could work, but aftermarket mid-drives generally aren't as dynamic or integrated, and hub motors would increase unsprung weight. I'd like this exact bike with a PowerPack 500 and last gen Performance Line CX :)
