There are many Shaolin monks that are gaining popularity but none feel anywhere close to the purity that comes from him. Such an amazing interview, thank you so much Lewis ❤️🙏

Some people like Shaolin can show that we can act with self dignity and respect. I like him. Congrats to him!

Powerful stuff Im Japanese and recently came across Shi Heng Yis interviews and its been helping me tremendously he truly is a master. sadly after WW2 the first thing the US government did was abolish schools that taught buddhist teachings (was a different form of buddism but has similar teachings) as it didnt fit into their capitalist vision. some of the teachings still remain but its dying out through generations and its a shame because these teachings help us reflect, teach us morals and kindness and ultimately master the mind. Thank you so much Lewis for these fantastic interviews, just wish there weren't adds every 3 munites lol but i am grateful for your podcasts and try to watch at least one everyday
I hope those of you of Japanese descent will see the value of your heritage to American culture so that you will resurrect these practices and share them. They will make us a better People.

Wow I can't believe master Shi came here to america and you had him on your show. I would so love to get to meet and talk to him. Just wow. Thank both of you!
This was the calmest most peaceful and endearing talk you presented to us Lewis. I've followed the Master for a long while and everything he presented to us I've practiced and am still learning, growing and moving forward. While it's a fact that we must look to ourselves for everything no man is an island. You've asked so many very important questions and I could guess - I had an inner knowing of each of his responses. That's how in tuned I am with the different philosophies of this world. Thank you and must say you've grown so much as the few years progressed - you are so much more grounded in who you are and becoming. So let's all celebrate our advancement, at our own pace and support others to do as well.

But it is a new way of life and thinking that is not impacting Lewis' life unless he chooses to practice the learning and compassion for others. The monk is so knowledgeable, his level of growth is so advanced, so calm and full of peace that Lewis is overcome by the monk's sacred presence. He takes good care of himself. His skin shines with good health. Lewis recognizes the elegance of the monk. His amazing composure. Confidence. Brilliant. Yes. Inner wisdom reflected outward. Great show. The monk has trained himself to the nth degree with Shaolin practices. The mind is the Builder. He is a prime example of discipline of mind applying Shaolin principles. Honed to a sharp edge. Never saw anyone so together, congruent. All about Mastery of his way of life. One of the best shows on the School of Greatness. Grazie 😊
The positive emotion as a hindrance, fame is a great example. Also when you pay attention to your health your appearance improves and you become more attractive to others. That can be really distracting.
I found great clarity in this monks kind teachings. I have heard many teachings about the risks of sensory desires before, but the way he talked about positive feelings ( which our advertising cultures continually promote on all media), being not good or bad, but just potential impediments to our goals, was so accessible to my understanding, thankyou. For example, i have a problem with comfort eating when stressed. I know i am covering unpleasant feelings and distracting my uneasy thoughts by the strong pleasure of tasty food, yet could not seem to break the pattern. To simply realise that a positive feeling may be as destructive to ones goals as an unpleasant one, gives me the mental space to better evaluate my thoughts, feelings and behavior in terms of authenticity, and goals. It removes the guilt/self indulgence ( not self care), self blame/low esteem part of the circular maladaptive behavior. I can then choose to assess my self critical or pessimistic thoughts and properly address that orientation. Thankyou. A vital piece of wisdom.

What a wonderful message. Thank you for bringing on this incredible guest and sharing his wisdom with us Lewis. Watching him talks already helps me feel more grounded and calm.
This is SOO PROFOUND. I’m going to play this over and over. It’s a LIFE PLAN and one I need! A plan that everyone needs. THIS teaching, method, from Shi Heng Yi, is what I’ve been searching for. I have many books; have listened to podcasts; UA-cams, but here it ALL is, unselfishly presented by the Master. Thank you. 🍃🌸🍃 .
It's the most awesome thing to hang on someone's every word, and find nothing that sounds false or misleading or misguided. Have to remind myself to breathe when listening to this.
Self mastery is to go against what your ego wants. A jourbey to self knowledge & self building. To not be on auto-pilot or follow the hive mentality, but to conciously think, talk, and act, because you know that everything has consequences. Choose wisely from the beginning so that we do not need to fix the reprecussions, but then again that too leads to life lessons, wisdom & growth. We can find wormholes by stop doing things we know are bad for us & others. Be kind with yourself. We are all learners
So happy to see Lewis shine light on Shi Heng Yi/Shaolin Temple. Sometimes great teachings are lost as they are clouded in religion. Great Job everyone.
This is quite possibly my FAVORITE one yet. His entire aura just resonates so much wisdom and peace...and your great inquiring mind....just OOOF....had to rewatch!! 🥰🥰🥰🤩
🙏 ive been fascinated by monks and the shoalin since I was a 10 year old child. I was aware of my mind and my emotions early on. I was hurt early on in life. It makes sense why I would idolize a monk

Thank you Shi Heng Yi and Lewis. Subjective unfairness is something that just is. It is element of culture. Be with it and it will come to pass. All best to everybody. Namaste.
What a delightful way to teach about feelings and emotions,so easy to understand and put into practice. Your wisdom is limitless. Thank you for sharing.
I love how Shi Heng Yi stands true and tall in his essence. Specially at the end, this energy of "challenge" brought by the host was very unecessary in regards to the Shaolin principles Shi Heng Yi embodies. He came to share his perspectives to help other human beings. Nothing about him is for the purpose of fufilling his ego. What I will say is that the host is very good at bringing out the humanity out of his guests. Exploring philosophies through vulnerability is a blessing.
He is so wise, really been on shi heng spree lately! the other dude is the best interviewer ive seen too, he sits there and actually trys to understand appreciate chu my g Empathy is Huge!! we are all in this together - High school musical

Master Shi Heng Yi really has a very grounded, emotional control of himself. If I was a guest, I'd be screaming jumping up and down, hugging Lewis Woohoooo ! Over the moon ecstatic to be invited. What a wonderful message. Thank you for bringing on this incredible guest and sharing his wisdom with us Lewis. Watching him talks already helps me feel more grounded and calm.
Думаю, что скорее спасибо гостю, что он пришёл, на такие темы тяжело говорить на ток шоу.
He’s in neutral space; knowing how emotions either way can trap you. A master.
Thank you. 🍃🌸🍃
.
we are our own teachers,
and the way we talk and think will help us to change the way we live :)
It's crazy just listening to his voice make our mind feels good
So thankful for having Sifu Shi Heng Yi in this podcast. So grounding, a man of wisdom 🙏👏☯️
Thanks for being here!
🙏 ive been fascinated by monks and the shoalin since I was a 10 year old child. I was aware of my mind and my emotions early on. I was hurt early on in life. It makes sense why I would idolize a monk
This was a great interactive. Really appreciate it . He puts things so simply . We make everything complicated

1 million words can t articulate enough the power of this podcast. @lewishowes you are such a gift to the humanity. Would like to acknowledge you for everything you are doing. Thank you!
Thank you Shi Heng Yi and Lewis. Subjective unfairness is something that just is. It is element of culture. Be with it and it will come to pass. All best to everybody. Namaste.
Master, you have comforting that a garden or the pot of flowers is good teacher to each each level on planet Earth, my deepest gratitude!
Thank you Lewis for this interview it has greatly improved my live listening to Shaolin Monk Master
