Have you done a "How to Video" Godox TT 685 S for Sony with Godox X1 T 2.4G for Sony. Can't change the transmitter to TTL/M mode. Not sure if its a defective unit. I have read the manual & followed all the UA-cam videos to a tee But transmitter stays the same A/B/C on or off only.

I need help! There is a delay in my trigger when firing. I have godox xpro sony + godox ad200pro. There is definitely .5-1sec delay. When i turn off the godox xpro my shutter has no delay. How do i fix this?
IS the camera set on flash + fill? What shutter speed are you shooting at? On the x Pro there is a delay feature in the menu that can be adujsted but its for thousands of a sec.
What if I wanted to use all of these flashes plus a on camera speedlight. How would I do that with the trigger. Basically does the trigger have to be on the camera to work all flashes ,even if I have a speedlight on camera ?

No receiver needed. Make sure the transmitter and flash are on the same group and same channel. If you are shooting over 200th of a second then hss needs to be turned on both the transmitter and flash. Camera needs to be on flash +fill. on the 860II make sure the menu is closed and you are back at the main screen.
question for you. will this transmitter set the mode on non godox flashes but are mounted on the X1ttl sony wireless trigger. reason i ask is because only the godox flashes changed modes when i used the x pro s transmitter
Actually, after last FW update, the AF illumination works on some sony full frame bodies (I tested on my a7ii) on the X1t. I would like to buy another one, and I would like to try the X Pro, doesn't still work the AF illumination like the X1ts? Thanks!
The only thing I don't like about this trigger is that the on/off slider buttons on the right are almost too smooth and that I would accidentally bump it. The button slides too easy and wish it was a little tighter. Other than that its a great trigger.
The lowerst setting in the M Mode ist at the Xpro S is 1/128 ? My Godox AD 200pro goes to 1/256. How can i set the Xpro to go to 1/256? Or is it impossible?
Some flashes have a zoom function so yes you can match the focal length of the lens to make sure the light spread covers it or go the other way and make the flash more of a spot than a fill.
Just received the Godox xpro(s) flash trigger and tried to link it up to the Godox TT350(s) but can't even get a test fire. Followed your video to the letter and couldn't get the flash to fire at all with the trigger mounted on the hot shoe of an Sony a6500. Please advise. Thank you.

it's interesting. I got one question though. With the A7R3 in EFCS mode and using the X1T, i experienced misfires. After some discussions with others on a sony fb group, it appears that the culprit is the electronic first curtain shutter. With mechanical shutter only, there's no misfires. When you have time, can you check this issue for me with A7R3+XPro-S combo?
The camera needs to be set on flash+fill. Make sure hss is enabled on the transmitter and the flash. Make sure the flash is all the way in the hot shoe.
Hi! Please suggest what I have to do. Yesterday I bought the Godox system: AD600pro and Xpro-S. Main goal - to use as outdoor flash with HSS. I use Sony A7 R 3. And when I installed and switched on all my equipment (sony a7R3+ xpros+ad600pro), turned on HSS mode on xpros and AD600 PRO I FOUND THAT IT WORKS GOOD IN TTL MODE BUT IF I TRIED TO SWITCH INTO MANUAL MODE - THE FLASH IS WORKED FIRST TIME, AND THAN, IT'S NOT WORKING IF I MAKING A PHOTO. THE SAME SITUATION WITH MANUAL MODE WITHOUT HSS. I tried to use didderent channels, groups, Ids but situation is the same. In manual mode flash is not working every time. WHAT DO I WRONG?
What are your camera settings? I have the same Godox trigger and Sony a7R3 and I get different results when I turn on/off WL. Is the setting that makes more sense- WL on with Fill Flash Mode on? Fill Flash, however, tends to darken the background; and I am not shooting with slow shutter either. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Kind of a new-bi question. I have an A7RII, hvl-58 & hvl-60 sony flashes. I just bought what you are showing here. So far, it only seems to be triggering the flash, i.e. what I set on the commander seems to have no impact on how the flashes perform. Are the settings you choose on the commander supposed to "over-ride" whatever the flashes settings are? Is there a way that the sony flashes have to be set up first? Is there a specific way the camera should be setup? Hope this makes some sense - thanks for any assistance.
I have the Godox AD600 using the Godox XPro with Sony A9. Although I select HSS on the strobe, the shutter will only allow up to 1/250. Any ideas???? Many thanks!!!
Got my Nikon compatible one a few weeks ago. All in all its ergonomically much better than the much simpler X1T. Negatives....the modeling light control sets the modeling light to just on ( full power ) or just off. The X1T allowed you to step up the brightness of the modeling light in three steps ( on the AD600 ). Battery life is much less than the X1T, no doubt that's due to the large LCD screen. I wish the buttons on the left lined up perfectly with the group's on screen, yes it's being fussy but it bothers me all the same lol. Other than that it's much improved in terms of usability, the menu makes sense, none of those cryptic secret button presses and for those with dwindling eyesight the screen is bright and clear. Some might miss the hotshoe passthrough but it's a feature I never used on the X1T. Oh and it's USB C connection and it's likely you won't have one lying around ( no cables are supplied in the box.) As it happens I did have 2 such cables so it didn't bother me but you'll probably have to budget $15 for a compatible cable if you ever want to update the firmware 😊

This is kind of off topic but I am having issues with this trigger consistently miss-firing the ad200’s. Very sporadic.... sometimes I can take 2-4 pictures and no flash will be sent to the lights then all of a sudden the system all works for a dozen shots. All random. I’ve tried everything to get this to work without issue and it will not. Anyone have this issue and know a potential fix with this trigger. I am using Sony a9.... doesn’t matter what lens is being used. Same result. Thanks for the suggestions in advance :)
Hi! I’m using the Xerox-s trigger on the a7r3 outdoors with AD200 in HSS mostly! But, to get the correct Ambient exposure I have to switch the Xpro-s to “OFF”. I then put it ON to fire the flash... Anyone knows why? Coming from Fuji I didn’t have to do this!
The camera automatically switches modes once you have a flash or trigger on the camera when they're turned on. I apologize I can't remember the name at this point (auto exposure preview effect?) but you can customize a button which you will have to hold to get a ambient light reading. Kinda bs in my opinion but maybe they'll change this in firmware.
Im using with A7 iii and with Nikon SB600&X1 TTL. When i tested flash by pressing the flash icon on X Pro S, it worked fine. But when i shot by Sony, nothing happened. What should i set up on Sony camera? Thanks.
Is it true that the X-Pro S when hooked up to the Sony A7iii (or even other Sony FF mirrorless models) in TTL mode under exposes at apertures wider than F4? I am holding back my purchase of the Godox V860ii-S and X-Pro S because of this issue. Appreciate a reply. Thanks.

The ad200 isn't really great at bursting. Turn the flash power down to 1/16 or 1/32 power and change the burst rate on the camera to 3fps or slow burst. Then it should work if everything is fully charged.
I recently purchased a Flashpoint xpro R2 for Sony and realized when using non native lens w/ adapter I loose aperture 3rds when shooting flash. I can shoot whole stops like 1.4 , 2, 2.8 and so on but stops in between I experience a delay of 1 - 1.5 seconds between shutter press and flash firing. I tried out a xpro R2 Canon version and I regained all my aperture ranges while loosing HSS and TTL availabilities as expected. Possible I have a faulty xpro r2 Sony trigger? I don’t see any firmware update at all for the Sony version.
Great vid! I have a question for you though... Using the XProS and the X1RS connected to a strobe, I have only been able to fire the flash using the "test" button on either godox device, however the with the XPROS mounted to an A6000, the camera will not trigger the flash. Any thoughts? I've got it on default setting channel 1, group A, either TTL or manual.
Thank you for this nice explanation. I have an A6500 with XProS with the TT685s but I just can not set the SProS to TTL. The only option it give me is off to Multi. I don't know what I am doing wrong. On the Flash I can select TTL but the second I fire with the camera it gets switched back to Multi . Can you please help?! Thank you!
I`m so glad with the Godox-System on my Sony a7 ii: TTL and HSS work best. If you press the Sync button on the Godox XPro[s] the camera allows to shoot with shorter exposure time than the sync speed. Now I got the Godox TT685 for Fuji (!) , the AD200 and the AD600 for Off camera shooting. All works best together. For On camera Flash I use a short bracket because my TT685 is made for Fuji. It' s a pitty, that Yongnuo doesn' t has a Sony Transmitter. So I can' t use my Yongnuo Flashes any more. Thank you for your Video. Regards from Hamburg

Every 3 or 4th shot misfires on my A7riii using the Xpro-s with 5 ad200 lights. (I went to the Godox website to the firmware download page. I downloaded the Godox2 firmware updater app. I udated the driver on the computer, but when I tried to load the .dfu file it was non existent. PLEASE HELP!!! THANK YOU!

Have you had any misfire issues? I have the A7Riii and just purchased the R2 pro trigger and for some reason I'm having misfire issues. It doesn't happen when I use the test button but when I'm actually shooting it tends to misfire and I can't figure out why.
I did at first. Have the auto focus set to af-a seem to be an issue on mine. changed it to af-c and it works fine. Sent a note to Godox. They had me reinstall the 1.0 firmware on the transmitter. If my fix doesn't work then PM me with your email and I will send you the firmware to reinstall.
Still as of June 2022, TTL mode does not work on Sony cameras. Images are underexposed by 4-5 stops. Speedlights work normally on camera, but not with XProS.
They are your groups. If you want to flashes to be the same settings then put them both on group a if you want them to have different settings then assign a different group to each flash.
It's not clear to me if the TCM function makes sense to use it or how to choose the type of flash to use when there are different flashes in the groups. You can only choose one, what happens with the others? How does it affect if you choose, for example, the main light or just the speedlight? I've looked for information on this and haven't found a good explanation, you don't talk about it either, you just chose one from the list without giving any further explanation. If you know anything else, please leave a comment.
@marcelocampoamor4761 Thanks for asking. The time function just converts ttl settings into manual settings. It's like miles per gallon vs miles per liter on car.
Love Godox for what they have done, on that note the main issue(s) are if you're using non Godox strobes you can not control the lights even with the firmware updates. All you have is a trigger it's looking like Yongnuo is the only flash controller that will work with your mix of light.
I bought the xpro for Sony to use with my A73 and Godox ad200, but I have to say it doesn't work very well. Out of 20 shots, the flash fires on perhaps 10, and sometimes it doesn't fire for several exposures in a row. I wonder if I have a defect product, has anyone else experienced the same problem? EDIT: after updating the firmware it works perfectly!

Firmware updates can be found on Godox's website. Try that first.

Yes you can but the X-Pro will convert the TTL to manual.

You can change just the trigger for full compatibility off camera.

You can only change the power remotely if it's a Godox flash.

Is there a rear curtain sync setting? I see it on other setup demos for canon....I have a Sony A7iii.

there is update for the X1 TS that gives you AF-assist function Fn10 turn to 1. I think you have to be in AF S and AF Illuminator in camera to auto.

Hi! I’m using the Xerox-s trigger on the a7r3 outdoors with AD200 in HSS mostly! But, to get the correct Ambient exposure I have to switch the Xpro-s to “OFF”. I then put it ON to fire the flash... Anyone knows why? Coming from Fuji I didn’t have to do this!
The camera automatically switches modes once you have a flash or trigger on the camera when they're turned on. I apologize I can't remember the name at this point (auto exposure preview effect?) but you can customize a button which you will have to hold to get a ambient light reading. Kinda bs in my opinion but maybe they'll change this in firmware.

Im using with A7 iii and with Nikon SB600&X1 TTL. When i tested flash by pressing the flash icon on X Pro S, it worked fine. But when i shot by Sony, nothing happened. What should i set up on Sony camera? Thanks.

Is it true that the X-Pro S when hooked up to the Sony A7iii (or even other Sony FF mirrorless models) in TTL mode under exposes at apertures wider than F4? I am holding back my purchase of the Godox V860ii-S and X-Pro S because of this issue. Appreciate a reply. Thanks.

The ad200 isn't really great at bursting. Turn the flash power down to 1/16 or 1/32 power and change the burst rate on the camera to 3fps or slow burst. Then it should work if everything is fully charged.

I recently purchased a Flashpoint xpro R2 for Sony and realized when using non native lens w/ adapter I loose aperture 3rds when shooting flash. I can shoot whole stops like 1.4 , 2, 2.8 and so on but stops in between I experience a delay of 1 - 1.5 seconds between shutter press and flash firing. I tried out a xpro R2 Canon version and I regained all my aperture ranges while loosing HSS and TTL availabilities as expected. Possible I have a faulty xpro r2 Sony trigger? I don’t see any firmware update at all for the Sony version.
I'm thinking of buying the XProC (not XProS) to use for HSS on my Sony A7R2 with Canon 600Ex-RT AND a Godox AD200. Think this will this work?
Great vid! I have a question for you though... Using the XProS and the X1RS connected to a strobe, I have only been able to fire the flash using the "test" button on either godox device, however the with the XPROS mounted to an A6000, the camera will not trigger the flash. Any thoughts? I've got it on default setting channel 1, group A, either TTL or manual.
Thank you for this nice explanation. I have an A6500 with XProS with the TT685s but I just can not set the SProS to TTL. The only option it give me is off to Multi. I don't know what I am doing wrong. On the Flash I can select TTL but the second I fire with the camera it gets switched back to Multi . Can you please help?! Thank you!

I`m so glad with the Godox-System on my Sony a7 ii: TTL and HSS work best. If you press the Sync button on the Godox XPro[s] the camera allows to shoot with shorter exposure time than the sync speed. Now I got the Godox TT685 for Fuji (!) , the AD200 and the AD600 for Off camera shooting. All works best together. For On camera Flash I use a short bracket because my TT685 is made for Fuji. It' s a pitty, that Yongnuo doesn' t has a Sony Transmitter. So I can' t use my Yongnuo Flashes any more. Thank you for your Video. Regards from Hamburg

Multi Flash Mode - Channels EG; A-B-C) I cannot seem to find a way to Have multi Flash on EG: A-B and C on say Manuel. they all multi Flash together! No multi wants to fire together to keep the same frequency and keep that frequency synced.

Not for camera triggering. Sorry. Look at the Viltrox remote for that. The X1 receiver is for non Godox brand flashes.

THANK YOU! - One request.....Can you please make a video on how to update the Godox2 firmware for the Xpro-s that addresses the constant misfires that occur during photo shoots. Every 3 or 4th shot misfires on my A7riii using the Xpro-s with 5 ad200 lights. (I went to the Godox website to the firmware download page. Not directly. You need to get the x1 receiver to attach to the flash.

Have you had any misfire issues? I have the A7Riii and just purchased the R2 pro trigger and for some reason I'm having misfire issues. It doesn't happen when I use the test button but when I'm actually shooting it tends to misfire and I can't figure out why.
I did at first. Have the auto focus set to af-a seem to be an issue on mine. changed it to af-c and it works fine. Sent a note to Godox. They had me reinstall the 1.0 firmware on the transmitter. If my fix doesn't work then PM me with your email and I will send you the firmware to reinstall.

Still as of June 2022, TTL mode does not work on Sony cameras. Images are underexposed by 4-5 stops. Speedlights work normally on camera, but not with XProS.
How do you define your A, B and C?
They are your groups. If you want to flashes to be the same settings then put them both on group a if you want them to have different settings then assign a different group to each flash.

It's not clear to me if the TCM function makes sense to use it or how to choose the type of flash to use when there are different flashes in the groups. You can only choose one, what happens with the others? How does it affect if you choose, for example, the main light or just the speedlight? I've looked for information on this and haven't found a good explanation, you don't talk about it either, you just chose one from the list without giving any further explanation. If you know anything else, please leave a comment.
@marcelocampoamor4761 Thanks for asking. The time function just converts ttl settings into manual settings. It's like miles per gallon vs miles per liter on car.
The letters A, B ,C ..., which you are referring to as “group”, are actually individual flash units.
They can be both. You can have two strobes on A and one on B for example.

Love Godox for what they have done, on that note the main issue(s) are if you're using non Godox strobes you can not control the lights even with the firmware updates. All you have is a trigger it's looking like Yongnuo is the only flash controller that will work with your mix of light.

I bought the xpro for Sony to use with my A73 and Godox ad200, but I have to say it doesn't work very well. Out of 20 shots, the flash fires on perhaps 10, and sometimes it doesn't fire for several exposures in a row. I wonder if I have a defect product, has anyone else experienced the same problem? EDIT: after updating the firmware it works perfectly!
It can do that when the af is set to auto or af-s. There is a firmware update on Godox's site that should fix it.

You have to enable hss on the transmitter

I noticed this at first too. Switch to AF-C and it seems to go away.
