- in this video i go off with the 3690 and our jd 1365 1oft mower to go knock a meadow the first of the silage to be cut this year so it wont be long till were flat out at silage

Great video as usual Phil. I'm not a farmer, but it's a terrible shame that you work so hard and cannot make a living at the moment. Hopefully when this is all over, the country will realise the importance of our local food producers and things might improve (I know it wasn't good for beef even before this). In the meantime, we'll keep pressing the like button and watching the ads to help in some small way. Looking forward to the silage videos as and when you have time to put them up.

The Massey is running cleaner now after giving it a bit of hard work. Diesels are better off being driven rather than poodling around

Phil i know as a farmer and a contractor you're gonna be flat out from here on in but i'd still love to see videos as fresh as possible and i'd settle for lesser quality or less edited videos and then when you feel like or get a chance, the odd high quality video. Onelonleyfarmer is probably the most well known farmer youtuber and his videos are all pretty bare bones footage. Maybe others won't agree with me but i'd rather see up to date 'warts and all' videos than a 2-3 week old well edited video. Just my opinion
Yeah I totally agree with you AgriFan although I think Wes aka onelonelyfarmer sets a high bar in that he does everything himself very under rated the brilliance of that man ,first rate mechanic,engineer,fabricatior,machine operator,youtuber.
But I love Phil as well ,he does these UA-cam videos so well ,he is natural and like Wes isint afraid to show it all.
Sorry i didnt know how badly you were affected by beef prices i'll like every video from now on.

Great video as usual Phil you need to get vantage Ireland on board and supply ye with some GPS stuff help ye with the mowing, slurry as in flow meter etc ye will know how big the fields your contracting in and can charge accordingly we all have that 8 acre field that's 12 acres

Farmer Phil put a mark in the centre of the bonnet down near the grill that you can see from you’re seat then use that like a sight on a gun and line up with something in the distance and if you can line two things up you’ll have a perfect line every time just keep the two points in line. I have to do that over here when putting levees in rice fields that are usually 3/4 of a mile long and if you fu€k it up the combine driver will loose his sh!t. Hope it helps ya..
