Good to see the shop getting started, Liv will be pleased. I’d be tempted to shift the 6480 out the gate asap while she’s running ok. 6mths down the road you could be spending on it again.
I have a 6470 here that was doing similar, she'd cut out when you went over a bump then fire back up and run fine again. It ended up being a slightly loose connection in a solenoid up by the air filter. I have a loader on to and the brackets certainly make things difficult
I ve had the cam bus cables between ecu and and pump been rubbed and mosture and shorting , pull the black coering off the wiring and check. Love the 90 in back ground. Why didnt you guys life the quicky loader off
I said when that issued occurred when you done the ploughing video it was the pump every person with them black chassis perkins massey had that problem. That wasn't bad money to fix either as before you could fix them the only option was to buy one and it was a lot more than that to get one.
Its such a shame the early 64s had issues, because they're a bonny lookikg tractor, i always liked the face of them, and this os coming from a valtra man, and we're trained to hate masseys 😂😂😂
I hope it lasts for more hours than the one I got done until it started to show 1077 again. Check the top of the pre filter housing under the plastic top found alot if shit in it which didn't make it to the filter!
@@jamesmccabe1702 You might want to delete your comment. You'll be easily proved to be pig ignorant, He's got a lot more experience in fixing Masseys than you ever will
them vpm pumps are the worse pump ever made. we replaced one and was £1900 but the hole pump was done not just the new ecu it had full rebuild & new stop in the bottom of the pump. low battery's & dirty fuel kills them as
a tip bad batteries and low run down batteries can wreck starters and ecu,s with the low ampage and low volts ,,,, allways best to stop and charge the batteries rather than churn on ,,, as that is when the damage gets done ,, hey its modern tech unfortunatly keep up the good work folks ,,
If you had the pcb for the pump and took some time you could make one up and ship it from Hong Kong, 5 identical 2 layer boards for around 40 euro including delivery
The EDC controller on most bosch VP pumps normally suffers the same or similar failure, common to most tier 3 tractors. The fault as Phil had on this will relate to a failed speed sensor fault internal in the pump edc controller. It's a common enough failure with a simple repair. We tend to see about 5/6 of this type of error per year.
We just love our favourite farmers farmer Phil and father Phil and liv who keeps every one in order is everyone fed up of this rain ☔️ never seems to stop.So good luck 🤞 keep smiling 😊.
Get a Massey Ferguson 6615/16 or 6715/16/18. Because they got bigger 4.9L engine and you can get dyna 6 50k on them. And they pull 10 times better then the 4.4L in 6613/14. They wont let you down.😀
That tractor would make a great umbilical tractor that loader would be handy with the front reeler coming against awkward gates you've the money spent on it now you've nothing to loose trying it
The last month or so the videos have been excellent in fairness to you, thoroughly enjoyable

She'll probably never miss a beat now that you're thinking to get rid!
Not so bad phil, chap down the road from me with a deere of the same era just had new pump, jus shy of 4k 😮

Great video. Great to see the resurrection, fingers crossed all will go well
Well done Lee👍
A lot of women have great bodywork but problem with the ECU….
Some would say most.
if its got pistons or tits , it will give you trouble every so often ..............
Reflash the hardware, getting them into bind mode can be tricky .
Good got sorted

Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼👍🏼
One reason why I love my 2645&2745 I don't have to worry about some of the problems with the newer Massey Ferguson tractors

Have you decided what's gonna replace it? Is it gonna be a sloped nose Massey or a 4 cylinder high horsepower one?
Maintech solutions Newtownards! You'll only have to take it off the once and it'll be right!
Hi farmer Phil the Best of luck with your tarter farmer Phil 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great vidoe
Good stuff
Sounds like it needs an engine wiring loom. I had a 7480 similar age, new loom was a few hundred quid, never any more bother
Can’t beat a 6480
What lap top do you use to clear code?
Any sign of Robert that was in the videos one time
Well done expensive repair

I have IMT 560 that had issues with injectors. When I was reving the engine, it sounded like angry Donald Duck. 😅
Always interesting videos and lots of work happening with your tractors.
time 4 a change phil
Would it not have been a good saving for you to have your own daewoo digger going and at that job
Don’t have the time to do it ourselves
that 6480 is a noble chariot. there are breakdowns with all machines, a great video, thank you all.
Why lift the loader off
Good to see the 6480 going again Father Phil and Lee are some lads😂
You just have to love all these computerized tractors. How in the hell does a farmer rely on these machines. Better look around for a good old 1080
Waarom halen jullie de frontlader er niet even af om handiger te sleutelen.
glad to see mended . have agree with others , get it gone mate
what about your deawoo excavator
What kind of money is it
Great to see the 6480 sorted and well done to Tyrone Diesel in Omagh 👍👍
I hope it lasts for more hours than the one I got done until it started to show 1077 again. Check the top of the pre filter housing under the plastic top found alot if shit in it which didn't make it to the filter!
Sounds like suction valve issue
Phill you can’t get rid of uncle Ian’s tractor
Great to see her back in Fleet again . Fabulous work boy's 👏
@3:59 No CAN communication between engine ecu and instrument cluster. incompatible ecu variant.
Ecu's arent CANbus, what are you bullshitting about

@@jamesmccabe1702 I'd rethink your comment, he's repaired more Massey ferguson's than you have had wanks.
Now you have her going get her a new postcode asap and get something fresher/newer

The newer the machine the more problems with electronics.
Would you take her to on the pull 2025?
There’s a couple of those 6480 Masseys around here and they have both given injector pump trouble

And also an alternator over charging can damage them aswell.
Do you sell merch in the farm shop
👍

The pain of working around the frame of the loader. 🤬
Mighty stuff Phil. Whatever ye may do with her, can ye give that 6480 a good belt of the powerwasher asap 😂
Fair play to you for sticking at the 6480, most people would have sent it off down the road, or set it on fire.
Lee damn nearly did burn it lol
We just love our favourite farmers farmer Phil and father Phil and liv who keeps every one in order is everyone fed up of this rain ☔️ never seems to stop.So good luck 🤞 keep smiling 😊.
Great video Phil keep them coming to us lad
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Glad you’ve got the 6480 running again.
The sad fact is that whatever you replace it with won't be as good
All she needed was a bit of tlc
Works all the time even with the women!! Haha
Happy days Phil, 6480 is back now if you can get another year out of it. Should get a good trade in.

what a stupid comment
Fella dont u get it like the newer the Tractor is the more Problems its going to bring up like
@@Paddy6.30like
R u going paying for it 😂
That 6480 has many years of work left in her . She’s only 20 years old . They have the 6499 and 7618 for big jobs
Could you show your 6480 a bit of love be a tidy tractor great video farmer Phill
Do I see a nuffield in the background 😁
could we see some more of the old cat excavator
We have a caterpillar 205 similar looking to that but slightly newer I recon because ours has the servo levers
First
Fuel filter housing choked. That’s what I had. New fuel pump injectors. Lift pump

In fareness you need a deere😂
they can have off days also ...........
Nothing Runs ( Ruins ) like a Deer 😆⛺️🚜
👏👏🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍🙏🙏💪💪
If I was you I'd send it into the nearest massey dealer and trade it in against a 5s get the bloody heap out of your hair
Ah that would be the right thing to do.. they only think hardship unfortunately
