- in this video me and my brother go about cleaning out the silage pit moving machinery tidying up fertiliser bags and what not and I eventually got it done at 1 am in the morning

Well done Phil, huge effort cleaning it up, and well done to your little brother for pitching in (even if he was a bit reluctant) practice makes perfect. When you're busy it's hard to keep on top of these type of jobs, they come low down on the priority scale. I think most farms have areas where things get "put" . Cheers.
Once this lockdown is over, any smart Alec who comments on the state of the yard should be frog marched down there and made clean it all by themselves if they’re going to throw out comments like that. Can’t wait for the silage videos. Keep up the great work.

As ye may have been able to tell my plans have backfired. Didn’t get mowing Tuesday with the rain hope it to mow Saturday so Sunday’s video should be a mowing video. And we may be putting a donkey a mule and 3 mowers going😉
You should put your brother on a small tractor yard scraping what you washed the night before, only way to practice driving and looking around for others.

@@lucasdebuck9192 Farmer Phil explained in the video the reason for the flat tire, and is waiting for his mechanic to remove the tire with the nick in it from the wheel rim, so that the tire man can change it for a new one.

Little brothers often can't see the forest for the trees standing in the way, but you manged to clear his vision. But I've often wondered why, when you refill the automated calf feeders with milk replacer, you don't put the empty bag in your hand into the bag you emptied last time? You don't obviously, and you end up with a scattered clutter of empty bags covering an acre of floor (or so it appears, and in two places!) My Dad always said to work smart, keep an eye out to where a little extra effort today will pay off huge dividends later and people are always amazed at how big a difference it makes when you just have to pick up 2 bags full of empty bags verses 50 bags scattered all over the place. In reality it might actually cost you more time in total to clean up as you work then cleaning up wholesale, but it will cost you several hours in one chunk and doing it as you go, you don't miss those 30 seconds, a minute a day compared to having to schedule a clean up job.
I understand what your saying but our empty bags go to a pig farm for use with sows in farrowing crates and they prefer the bags separate so they can remove the plastic liner and make use of the paper bag
Might end up putting the original wheels on the 3075. Massive yard now tidied up.

LOL he can't escape the eye of the camera and kick off about having to do jobs before getting a bit of tractor time in. Get stuck in young fella if you can, a wee Massey and the yard scraper is how I learned.
Big Al I first drive I was 5 it was in a field of rushes in a little John Deere 5090r and they were putting up fencing and I was driving and the fences were in the bucket on the front loader

@@eoinreilly7976 Health and Safety out the window, but we stepped up to the plate and were very responsible. I was never happier than sitting in the tractor for hours on end and was rarely bored or rhyming to my Da get home.

Not being funny or cheeky here but if you tidy as you go along when your doing jobs the place would be easier kept. Like them empty fert bags they could of all been gather up when you was spreading fert put all the empty fert bags into one fert bag.

don't worry i know how bad rotten baleage smells like lol once had a nest of possums in one and even some rabbits hares that went thru baler and i wondered why the heifers didn't want them
