Shout out to Nicole, god rest her soul RIP. You are missed.
❤
❤❤🙏
Glad you are keeping touch with Nicole parents. I lost my wife to a brain tumor 36 years ago today, July 9, 1998, she was 30 & me 31. But I had a 3 & 5 yo daughters at the time. I, we, my new wife still keep in touch and they are still ‘our’ in laws. I was blessed to have two sets of in laws! I know exactly what you went through Chet, it wasn’t easy, you will always remember her, you will have your good days and your bad days, and if your wife now understands like mine does, she will help you through it the rest of your life!!
It tears me up just to hear Nicole's name. She was so loved by so many viewers... including me. God bless her!
Get over it already she’s gone
Yes, she was such a wonderful person and a joy to see interacting in the videos. Her and Chet were a perfect couple, such a sad loss all around. She is and always will be missed.
Dougo’s gravel pit section brought to you by Ken Hamm and the creation museum in Hebron, Kentucky.
😂
I miss her dearly. To be honest, I was surprised how quickly Chet got into a relationship as well as getting married so soon. I know everyone deals with death differently but I don’t think I would have gotten over her so quickly not to mention getting married so soon after. That being said, life goes on and I’m happy he has someone.
Wish Jean would do more UA-cam stuff with Chet like Nicole did. She practically ran the channel. They had great live Q and As
@WhiskeyMav from the little his new wife has been on the channel I feel she's the complete opposite of his wife who passed away.
I’m really glad to see that you keep in touch with Nikki’s parents. That’s very cool.
That's nice that you still see the old in laws from time to time.
❤
❤❤
Truely shows that Chet is what we all think of him. Much love from Australia.
Mitch who Chet mentions from time to time does repairs for them is married to Nikki's sister.
Thank you for another interesting video. Nice to hear you still have contact with Nicole's family. When Dugo is explaining something he needs to remember to say if you know, you know. lol
❤❤
Chet i am so happy Nicole's family still acknowledge your family. many just part way forever.
So nice you keep up with Nicoles parents, very nice. She is watching over all of us.
I started watching the Larson UA-cam channel when Nicole was struggling with cancer. Chet is the one who decides what he wants to talk about. Let him decide what when he wants to mention his former in laws. Larson Farms takes a lot of decision making involving a lot of money. Dougo is certainly a unique person.
My dad used to put me to work cultivating corn in a John Deere 730 narrow front end and no cab. Working with a 4 row cultivator. I spent a lot of hours in that tractor seat back in the early 80's. And talk about a really light front end. As Dougo says, "If you know, then you know."
LOL, back in the day of cultivating mid to late 70s, we used a 1963 wide front IH560 with a 6 row cultivator doing maybe 3-5mph. It was all slow moving progress and tiresome days. By the mid 80s we had a 12 row cultivator on a 1466, one thing I learned the hard way, don't go out partying heavily the night before your grandpa expects a solid productive day the next day.........and don't doze off at the wheel..... 👍👍
As the glaciers retreated and melted the suspended material contained within from grinding over the landscape flowed out in the melt water rivers/streams and dropped out as the flow slowed. Also what provided your annual crop of boulders.
Chet, I drove semi's for many years then switched jobs driving an automatic tri-axle dump truck....I loved it, I don't think I tried to hit the clutch at all. Dougo, I hauled all kinds of gravel and stone to IMI cement plants, didn't realize how many different types there were until I started hauling it.
Chet, you gave me a flashback and a chuckle. I remembered getting a car with an automatic tranny after 15 years of driving a 5 speed. My left foot was stomping the floorboards for about a month.
Hey Dougo…I’m surprised you didn’t think of this. You take the top foil off the pudding cup and fold it twice over itself to end up with a “spoon” about 3/4 “ wide and 3” long. Then make it into a “V” shape. Makes it stronger and narrows it up so you can get into those nooks at the bottom!
I’ve done this for years. Saves getting a what for when you lose the spoon!🤣
I'm glad I got to see Martin . . even if just for a couple of seconds, it had been a while . .
Truly miss seeing Nicole. You two were a perfect couple and a blind person could see just how wonderful and genuine of a person she was.
I was driving from Green Bay to La Crosse Wi this weekend and really noticed the variation of corn growth, it was pretty drastic considering all of the rain! Love the channel Chet!
Dougo’s eating pudding without a spoon tip was useful.
Your dedication to preparing delicious meals warms our hearts and fills our bellies with joy. Every dish you create is a testament to your culinary artistry and care. And I am Floating Village Life
I could listen to Dougo all day! What a great guy!
Words of wisdom from Dougo. Thanks.
I run rubber tire loaders for a living. I know all about making divots when spinning tires. You just gotta back drag material with your bucket angled so you force pack material into the holes. Then level the bucket and shave it smooth going forward. But yes… that area never seems right again. 😆
Doug-O “Oh they’ve got ideas”😂😂😂😂classic
Chet Dougo Eric Broodie and John that was great thank you Chet no dairygreat explained gravel types and flow meters and cultivators you have 3 can't wait for next video
Dougo always impressed how clean your shop n equipment is! And Chet following in ur footsteps! God bless ur family and all farmers 🙏🏻
Engines ECM has it own sensor it will be fine it operates fan when needed. Engine ECM doesn't care about dash gauge its "optional" LOL. If it gets hot ECM will let you know with check engine light, stop engine, high temp warning light and buzzer screaming at you. I've seen drivers keep going turning Cat yellow paint to brown paint on upper part of block and cyl head. I'm going to make it too Peterbilt I'm not walking or need tow truck
Either broken up front where it goes around brackets on top of engine. Or broken by left rear corner of engine by bell housing or where harness goes over air compressor discharge hose. Gauges and senders go bad too. Check ground sender wire see if it pegs temp gauge. At gauge have to check power, ground and S post (sender wire). You can ground S to ground that will peg the gauge too. 2 senders in t-stat housing right next to coolant outlet 1 temp sender and other high water temp warning in light bar. Engine ECM temp sender in front of t-stat housing
Pit gravel looks like decomposed granite. Great stuff to build on. Duggo, spoon safe👍👍👍
your are probably correct. there might be granite around their farm area. i know not to far to the east their are large deposits of granite that they mine.
Awesome video Chet!!
Thanks for hosting the Biggars. They had a great time
purdy sweet sounding pete 😊
But you would have to admit that there is something to running a big yellow motor and an 18 speed. That black truck sounds large.👍
GREAT video guys. Thank you
Love how Doug keeps everything clean, that is old school.
Good video your videos proves in my opinion you are the best channel
Keep up with the amazing content
great video
Dougo, there is a version of how to use the pudding top where you fold it a couple times and it makes a stronger, more spoon like utensil. No crushing required.
UA-cam search: "how to make a spoon using a pudding cup top" Two quick videos at top of list that are pretty good.
😬
Dougo! The word we use for rock products is aggregate. TMYK.
Awesome video Chet. 🚜🚜🚜
Love Doug's little evil laugh..
Great video. Thanks 😊
Great video. Thanks
Love it
when you can't scoop anymore out, you press the sides to force what's left to the bottom and cut straight across it and just tongue it out.
Chet it is call ghost clutching. Dougio buddy we love your truthfulness. Hello from ohio
Sun covers for the tires would be a great thing for tires you can't park in a shed. 😊
Hey Dougo ! The good lord invented a finger for licking pudding 😂😂
Great video. They’re always enjoyable! 👍❤️
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Nice to hear that Nicole’s parents keep in touch. Wonderful to do that. May God watch over her always ❤️❤️
Hauling gravel for the new bin is taking a toll on the semi’s. They need a bath real bad. Gravel roads are hard on them. Get dirty quick.
Thanks Dougo for explaining the different kinds of gravel that is produced for use in different projects. Your pile on the farm is growing big fast. Wow.
Seems lots of extra jobs going on now. Putting away the older cultivator until needed next time and a few either things.
About it this go around I guess. Thanks for everything Chet.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Yes, white plastic would help keep tires good shape
Amazing how different gravel is up there compared to the Southeast. Our gravel is mostly granite.
On your flowserve you mentioned a magnet. Typically those type of devices detect flow by use of a "hall effect sensor" being in proximity to a magnet. Perhaps the magnet fell off the impeller
Good to see Larson farms building a bin this year. Not much building going on in Iowa.
Dougo I fold the lid in half it makes it firmer
I like using grout around tile but each his own
should have left a haha- most won't get your sense of humor. I did.
In Michigan we call them gravel pits and what yall are running we call road gravel
Good stuff guys
Haa I love it that Dougo has his own sticker you have been Dougo 😂
Doug o got a good laugh out of Chet’s reaction to “contains milk” 😂
nice ride along
Well I say, Dougo, you know you should rent a crusher and do something with all those field stones you have been growing. Two birds right there 👍
We're getting wounded by rain now, tonight n all day tomorrow plus more for the rest of the week.that's better then nothing for a spoon dougo.use your finger for the bottom.
Team Larson !
You got it with the foil lid Dugo . Many a time I have had to resort to that method. Unfortunately the brand I eat changed lids some time ago, the new lids are thinner and are a bit tricky to use. Most gets to my mouth !!!!!!!
At first I thought you was going to say and brody is paying for it on his card 😂😂😂
where's the clutch!!! 😂😂 . Such a scary feeling even though you are fully aware before jumping in it.
Much love from Australia.
Yes, I agree. 100% Nikki is missed. She was such a cutie.
Hey Doug if you fold over the foil lid and give it a spoon shape it will work a little better to get down to the bottom lol
well ive spent more time watching a grown man eat a pudding cup than i ever wanted to
I would call that stone “as raised”, it only becomes a graded aggregate once it has been screened.
Douggo! If you fold it a couple times like a hot dog bun it works even better
I would say thousands of years is more like it.
Dugo trying to explain the ice age without offending god 😂😂😂
Send the pudding guy a hat .
Still have the 6R
Now Dougo if you had a tongue like Gene Simmons there would be no problem with that puddin
Chet, cool to see you're still close with Nicole's folks. Good on ya buddy. Dougo, what was the rock for? A foundation for what? I couldn't make out what you were saying.
It's going to be a really late fall this year because of the earth wobble. Don't harvest too early. Some spots or areas you may notice the sunlight touches further than years past.
You can't harvest too early the crop needs to be dried down enough.
Duct tape some cheap tire storage bags from the tire shop around the equipment tires for the off season.
Did you put the tongue jack on the bottom dump trailer yet? 💡stock a few field cultivator tires for emergency supply. 10:02
That is really nice pit run.
for the tire issues...
just get rims that fit with solid rubber tires on them no more tire issues
Hey Chet! Is it just a farmer thing that all equipment either in a shed or in the weeds HAVE to be packed in to inches apart? LOL
Dougo on your pudding pack with out a spoon I worked with a big old boy that would take a #2 pencil poke a hole in the middle of the lid and suck and squeeze and empty it in one motion. 😮 It was cleaner than if you used a spoon. 😂😂😂
The problem with your meter is the magnet they demagnetize and they no longer pulse about a $10 fix
Those are my fav chips by far
When you get to the bottom of the pudding cup using your homemade spoon , then switch to one of your fingers, providing they havent been in any insecticide or noxious chemical.
Get some sun film bale wrap it on them new tires that sit out should help them last longer
Question about your secondary farm yard. Do you have future plans for that yard? Equipment sheds for storage or other plans?
My bank barn here in eastern pa has slate roofs
5:30 - What's going on with the headrest in your pickup truck? Hidden razor blades in bb caps? 🙂
Time to change from Green to all Red now, there moving south
They are doing a whole lot more than just moving south...
The ingredients listed on the bag go from the most to least present in the food.
clean that truck Chet!!
I'm with Dougo anything more spicy than Cool Whip and I'm done.
Yes class 5 gravel up around ogilvie we got back in 1979 and once it was leveled out witch was tough to do but once packed it's hard as concrete and rain has no affect on it ,the class 5 your dad was talking like that witch was very expensive even in 1979. Please answer this thank you.
You have not had any fun until you go to mash the clutch and find it's already on the floor.
Linkage came loose and put me in that position. Now that was fun as I came into traffic.
Usually means "if it in stock regionally." 3:05 NAPA is a perfect example. 3:36
