I had a similar situation today took my daughter (5) fishing for first time helped her cast to"not get it in the trees" proceeds to get it in the trees helping lol😅
Great vid, well done. One of my favorite rigs to throw is what I call the poor man’s carolina rig. Basically you ditch the swivel, leader, bullet weight, clackers, and just clamp on a couple/few split shots a foot or 2 above the bait. Probably not as effective but way quicker and easier to rig.
Same until someone told me to use a higher test line so the line helps it over the rocks instead of into the rocks. I haven’t got snagged in rocks since.
you're using the wrong Ned rig head. use a EWG Ned head , or when coming to a rocky area switch to North Carolina rig. Mojo in line weight, no beads just in line weight and a hook.
Great, great information and understanding on how to tie some of these set ups. For me I really liked the Texas rig and that’s what I like to have on one of rods when I go out fishing. Thanks for showing us how to rig it, but you should also implement what type of rod and reel to use with gear ratio can be more helpful too.
Dropshots and Texas rigs all day! I like to have a reaction bait tied on too just in case they want something with more commotion but usually the winner is a plastic of some sort
Thanks. I have been wondering about the Carolina rig. Not too many people have went into detail on the info. I have all the components to have it. Just didn't know how to rig it up. Up here in da U.P. we have a lot of old mine lakes. So the depths get pretty deep. Deepest I've seen is 206 ft. Thanks again
Love the rigs, but I need some help on reeling. I use baitcast and open face. All my reels have different ratio speeds and slow on one is fast on another. I keep seeing videos of descriptions being "slow".. but I need technique lol. Caught a 2.5 lbs bass yesterday, so I feel the Texas rig is working for me. The issue is the rate in which I'm catching and continuity. Some guys say use the rod to bounce the bait and reel slack, others say reel the bait and bounce for action.. still some have said keep rod low and others keep it high. All tend to work and I find I get hung up in all, and fish tend to bite whatever they feel lol.
Here in Southern California you had best use weedless so you don't leave all your baits and hardware in the underwater hazards (shopping carts, trash, metal objects, etc.) Many of these work better on those flushed rivers back east.
So I’m a newbie and I’ve spent over 1k on rods and rigs and I love fishing. Lol I know I sound like the typical new guy. My question is , bobbers. Do you use bobbers. Slip bobbers or clip on or no bobber at all ? That’s my biggest question.
I need to know what it is about a tungsten bullet weight (03:25) that gives me more sensitivity. Is paying for them making me cry and therefore I'm more sensitive? I think a lot of you so-called Pros are full of crap. I think you're too fond of hearing your own voices and tend to develope diarrhia of the mouth. The least you could do is actually listen to- and think about- the crap you spew. Meanwhile, I'll continue to use my insensitive lead.
I'm a beginner, you talk so fast dude.. I'm like what?? netrig, wacky bait, double twist bolt action what?? lol I have to rewind pause and google what you said..
“You can flip this into a tree and not get hung up.”
Tree: Wanna bet?

Every time I throw a ned rig near some rocks I end up catching a rock 😆.
Caught some nice bass on the ned rig even caught a few huge brim an sunfish
Keep that rod up and pull with the rod, not the reel. I stopped loosing rigs and these just slide on the rocks.

Bro story of my damn life
My most successful bass rigs to date: 3) Crankbait, 2) Texas Rig, 1) Wacky Rig. Thanks for posting.
I personally use and caught all my bass on Weightless Texas Rigs of various baits. It works well for where I fish, which is mostly Midwestern Lakes.
Wacky rig on a weedless hook feels like cheating

Very well done. Was looking around for info not entertainment. Great job!
Gett8ng back into fishing I mainly grew up trout fishing in Utah I'm in tn now and trying to get into other game and bass fishing.
Nicely done! Basically all the techniques you need to know to catch some bass.
Dr. Matthews spitting some fire 🔥Knowledge!! Ned Rig Master!!!

So helpful thank you. Currently teaching my kids how to bass fish

On a river about 3-4 ft deep I caught just as many fish treating the ned rig as a swimbait as I did when hopping it back after a fall.
Love the information thank you for sharing the knowledge.
That fleece is saucey bro

Nice fishing tips
Thank you for the mystery tacklebox again I got one of the newest Lewers the rattle bot and thank you for everything else
Ned Rig is one of my favs

Thanks so much for the knowledge
I use the ned rig a lot. I make my own too
Thank you very much, just what I needed to know.

For bass, I don’t ever use a bobber. I can see using a bobber if you want to float a minnow or something.
Great video and information brother
Full support bro Thanks for sharing
Excellent. Thank you!
I just tie a small long shank on my 15 dollar Kmart telescopic rod that came with feel and line put a garden worm on and catch bass
Going fishing tomorrow gonna use these
catch anything?
^^??! Cmon man update us
Don't leave us hanging dawg it's been 3 years 😂 hahaha
Nicely done.
Good job I love your videos I learned even more about fishing I have videos too but I am still quite young 😃
The TRD lives on!
I also recommend 1Rods palamar knot tutorial.
Loved it.
🔥🔥🔥
Do you add any additional weights with wacky worm and with rig?
Never heard of bobber stop. The so the weight doesn't move?
Sooo helpful
Thanks
What size bobber stop did you use?
What color is that Zman finesse TRD ??
“You can flip this Texas rig up into a tree and it won’t get stuck.”
Me: hold my beer
I refuse to fish a Carolina rig simply because I’m a huge Duke fan.
Gross
This 5s are cheapest and yet most effective way to catch bass.
What’s everyone’s PB
an estimated 9.23lb female caught in my neighborhood pond.
@@NC_Fisher_Guy wow that’s big congrats
8.1 smallmouth
5 pound largemouth
crunchy
An instructional video with dark bait and a dark background. Sounded instructional though.
Second!!!!!
Who on Earth doesn't use O-rings on their wacky rigs?
I was just going to comment that I've had the best luck with the o-rings they make the bait last longer instead of just hooking into the bait
Ned rig will more likely catch sticks and grass lol
👍👍👍👍
LOL
Speaking way too fast for a 101 IMHO
Put it in .75 then
