I love low options ( but I’m a simple guy). We had a 4.8 in a short bed regular cab that we put roughly 250,000 miles on a 3 year old plain Jane W/T ( most of what I bought new and used was low/ no options)( bought it with 130,000 on it , I figured it must have been all freeway miles). Had 3 daughters that drove shortbed regular cabs w/t in high school and college. Wife always drove a Suburban that we would buy new. And keep for a long time. ( first one was an 89 three-quarter ton that I special ordered it.( white with running lights on top. It was awesome.) ( we bought that one when we had had one child.) ( another suburban a 2003 we kept for 17 years.) But that one o3 silverado shorty that we kept for about 13 years with the 4.8 .. it was the most fun , engine was a little quicker to rev. Was like a jackrabbit. It reminded me of my dad’s old 64 El Camino, a 283 with the power pack , four barrel four bolt main, 4:11 rear , stick . When I sold the high mile 03 truck I sold it for what I paid for it : 8 grand . Even though it was a WT ; one requirement for the kids to drive , was to keep them washed and waxed. It probably looked better than the day I bought it.. ( little details like : bedliner on the floor of the bed, detail the frame when bed was off to put the new fuel pump in… new headlights. ALL WAYS USE A SUNSHADE IN THE WINDSHIELD WHEN PARKED OUT SIDE .. n light tint at least on all side n back windows . Now I try to buy white vehicles because of the sun / heat in the south. But I have to say even the interiors of my long use high mile vehicles look great when we sell them. Two things about kids driving short beds . You have to have some weight in the rear end. I kept 4 to 500 pounds near the back of the cab.. AND I KEPT NEWISH TIRES ON ALL FOUR CORNERS.. I got into flipping takeoffs so my precious daughters would have less of a chance of spinning out. And usually didn’t let the tires get more than 10,000 miles before I resold them. That was the only way I could afford to keep them in Transportation.. those 99 to 2007 Shortbeds were easy to maintain. Almost bulletproof. And I was able to buy right and sell right. JUST CHANGED THE FLUIDS ! Engine transmission, especially! Don’t forget the rear. And try to do it yourself.,, read: ‘Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance’. Keep the radio off so you can be ‘ in tune with your machine’.
You already know you gotta stand firm on your price bro the enthusiast know the unit is worth every penny. People not buying the new stuff,OBS is where it's at today you can add to the truck whatever features you want, lots of aftermarket parts for these trucks. Stand firm bro, and let's get it!!!!

Clean as always! Another key point on these is how straight the front bumpers are! They always sag!

The 03-07 classics came in 3 LT trims the LT1 are usually just like this and LT2 had leather seats the LT3 are the fully loaded with the sunroofs
