Trust me, it was very hard to remove that passenger dash number! It was not an easy decision.

I couldn't believe that was the sequence either. I thought it was a joke they were playing on me.
Wow!! I love that display!! We seen the yellow 2022 Mini Cooper at the auto show yesterday and it is one hot little car. We met our One year goal and paid off our mini Cooper Coupe this month so now it’s time to have fun and add some new stuff to it!!!!

I bought this last week. Did not expect to have done this ton of works. Holy molly this gonna take some time to do it.

Been waiting for this video! The makers should allow you to program your car number below the GP logo so that it makes up for the loss of your 3D printed dash panel!

Very interesting! I've been curious about this device. Since I have the extra cargo space door as well as the CD changer in my car, this won't work in my car. But I do love the technology!

SUPERIOR job in getting the camera angles such that I can actually see everything you do. I know it is hard when it is on the top of the dash. You are the first video where I have actually been able to see what is being done. I don't know if you have someone doing the shooting but it is so much better that you should give yourself a pat on the back. .....But why take off the 001, wasn't that a big deal when you won the 001 production number? It is super neat looking, I must admit. And ouch as a Mom, put some antibiotic cream and a bandage on your cut! ( By chance do you know which fuse corresponds with the R59 Roadster convertible automatic opener?)
1. I had the help of a camera person and it was a HUGE help to me to get all those tough angles.
2. I made absolutely certain this mod was non-destructive so that I could show the install process and then go back to the 0001 dash one day (and will be doing so very soon)
3. The hand has been treated properly and has since healed! It was scraped up while working with sheetrock in a future video that I can't wait to publish. It was not scraped during the install of this screen, I don't want people to think this is that physical of an install 🤣

Thanks for watching! Honestly, I took the screen out shortly after this video. Nothing wrong with it, but I really wanted 0001 back in the dash to keep my GP close to stock
way cool, but the old school hidden glove box is so sweet i'm not sure i'd give it up for anything!
Well I just showed you the first few steps to install the hidden glovebox 😉
I miss that secret glove box mini used to have with that panel … , dope install is this specific to the gp or can be used on the regular models as well

I don't know the answer for sure but I told imagine it would. It's just reading from the ECU
installed exactly like you did, display works great! however now my nav system stereo doest com on any suggestions
Hmmm something does'nt seem right. Maybe contact the manufacturer? They are helpful when I talk to them!

Unfortunately its only for some F-series models. The website will tell you what models it fits in.

How do you get the GP logo in the centre binnacle display ? I can’t find it in mine 🤔
The center infotainment display? It only comes up after the ECU has been rebooted. I haven't explored how to make it launch every time

I could not honestly answer that. While the screen was cool, have 0001 printed in the dash is cooler so I removed it.
i know how to remove and fix my center entertainment system's led from the plastic cover...hahaha...thanks...

Hi, I got some silly question on this passenger display. Some of the existing owner having ECU problem after use of this passenger display for few months. Since you already install for a year any issue? Thanks

I dont have ambient lighting in the GP3 so I can't say. Anybody else have an answer?

can this be installed in a GP2?
I don't believe so. It only fits the f5x series dash
After I install it I can't access ECU from obd until I turn it off did you try scann obd after install it ?
I have not. I'll try it later today and see
I was able to access the ECU after with no prob. Not sure why you are having trouble doing so....

Cool but seems kinda pointless! Idd like one that lets you watch movies for the passenger! That would be sick , I get most of those readings on my gauges on my jcw
I would like to see touchscreen and maps so the passenger can be a navigator. Maybe even music controls too

@David Kutchko it's the Torque app for Android. It should just about everything, AFR, fuel pressure, water temp, oil temp, AIT, RPM, speed, exhaust temp, etc.
